"Vinyl community" ffs
For some reason, the box set begins with Bowie's second album. The first two albums are both entitled "David Bowie." The first came out in 1967. The second, the one that begins the box set, was released in 1969,
I think it was for 2 reasons
1: The title of Box Set is based on a song in Ziggy Stardust, so it could fit with a song, like Who can I be Now? and A New career in a new town
2: I think it would've been too expensive to make. And they would've charged more
1. They'd simply have chosen a different song to name the set after if they'd included his first album.
2. Along with the Tin Machine second and live albums Bowie was never able to buy up the rights to his Deram album which is probably why it isn't included.
I used to have a bootleg version of this set on CD, it wasn't too bad! But the quality of all mini lp cd's were garbage

Hey Dylan,
Another great video. Being a huge Bowie fan myself, I enjoy these types of videos. This boxset is the only one I'm currently missing. ..I have "Who Can I be Now" (74-76) in CD format as well as Loving The Alien (83-88) and the new Brilliant Adventures (92-2001). I did get New Carrer in a new Town in the vinyl format...mainly as I wanted a mint copy of Low.
These boxsets are worth every penny and while I'd love to get them all on vinyl...the price is a little high.
But the sound quality of the CD format is incredible as is the vinyl...and as you mentioned the booklet that comes with each set is worth the cost of these collections.
