  • The live action reboot of Avatar: The Last Airbender is out now on Netflix. We look at some creative geocaches based on the original animated series.

My kids are older and I've never seen the Avatar cartoon. I love your creative caches - it truly makes my day to find a cache with some thought put in. (CKA)

I feel the same. It’s nice to get a fun surprise when you find a well crafted cache.

I found an Office themed mystery cache once upon a time. The Office being one of my favourite shows, it was nice to see a geocache out there that pays homage to the show. Great episode! I'll stay tuned!

It was a good learning lesson for our first hide attempt. We have ideas for more!

I remember in 2004(ish) when I saw Avatar being promoted at San Diego Comic Con. I thought it looked cooler than some of the anime I was into at the time. When it aired, I watched the first couple episodes and stopped for whatever reason. I always wanted to get back into it but never did. I watched the movie and thought it looked cool (the characters looked as good as you can get) but I wasn't really impressed by it.
I did watch all of Korra when that came out and I really enjoyed it. Animation and character designs were top notch!
I plan on watching the new series but will wait till there's more episodes.
I did enjoy the live action One Piece series and I recommend that for you to watch if you haven't already. Both my wife and I liked it.
I do have a whole cache series dedicated to main characters from my favorite British sci-fi comedy show called "Red Dwarf". If you ever come to the Seattle area, I can take you to them.

Red Dwarf is hilarious. I only ever caught an episode here or there so maybe worth a rewatch. It would be fun to go caching together

Wow! That Avatar series sounds amazing!! So sad that you lost a couple to the elements. I know what that’s like! Can’t wait to see what you do next!

You could say I lost some elements to the elements 😅. I was pretty bummed about it, since it took a while to find a good location for them and they ended up not lasting beyond two weeks. Also, Geowoodstock was hosted locally that year and I was hoping to get more international finders.
      Thanks for watching 😁

Oh now that’s awesome! It’s a shame they didn’t all survive but nice effort mate! I can see you was really passionate about these! Not just some basic cache!

Thanks! I’ve learned not to place caches too close to rivers, unless they’re in a tree.
