@@newagain9964unlikely. I’ve compared Renaissance to others and they always come out on top in terms of value. In Toledo, there’s literally only one hotel that it’s in competition with and it sucks. lol perhaps I’m staying in low competitive areas which is why I’ve gotten outsized value from these properties.

I’ve found that my Marriott Boundless card gets 3X at Walmart when buying groceries thru the “scan & pay” feature. No other card that I know of does that.
@@THE1CEO …non-neighborhood… I just go to any Super Walmart open up the app and shop. I’ve checked all the other hotel cobranded cards and only the Boundless gets the 3X grocery multiplier (…well IHG gets 3X everything but less valuable points).

@@newagain9964 Try Marriott Nagoya for example, has between 20 to 30 ambassadors staying there at any given night. That's way too many for one regional hotel in Asia.
Nice video guys. For me although Marriott has the best properties, the inconsistency of recognizing elite status in their Bonvoy program from brand to brand is a turnoff and not worth chasing status. Personally prefer Hilton as Diamond member since you know what you're getting in benefits and Hyatt if I can find one convenient where I'm traveling to.
Comparing Hyatt Globalist to Marriott Platinum is...silly. After being Titanium for 4 years, I can't count the times I have been reminded that Cobalt is #1, Ambassador #2, Titanium #3, and Platinum is #4...mid-tier at best.
How do you feel about potentially using a brilliant/ritz card for stays at marriott then transferring at 3:1 ratio to something like alaska or aeroplan? correct my math but you'd be getting 6-7x miles per dollar spent not even factoring how much you value those points
How long does it take to get your nightly room upgrade certs once you meet the actual 50 night threshold? Shortly after in the same calendar year? Or only in the beginning of the following year?

I’m platinum status. Renaissance properties give you 2 FULL breakfasts per morning and lounge access. It’s pretty crazy, so I always stay there.
Meh. You likely overpaid tho to get those perks. Marriotts typically run higher than competition.

Actually Chase Sapphire Preferred also count walmart scan and pay as 3x online grocery!
