Hello from Brownsville, Texas. Thank you for sharing that spectacular tour. It’s like riding along that beautiful scenery. I own an old bmw r1100rt with only 12,000 miles . The k1600 will be my upgrade. That bike of yours sounds super. Cheers and enjoy the rides.
Hello. Thank you for kind words. I really enjoy driving the K1600...either the GTL or the GT. Hope you'll have nice rides in Texas too. Sincerely Kjetil
Beautiful…but to have those massive Tour Busses on those narrow roads is insanity. They should be stopped and parked at the base and have smaller shuttle busses to take people up if they want to go in groups…would it be more expensive, maybe, less efficient, possibly…but the risk imho doesn’t outweigh the convenience imho. What do they do when they meet 🤔 Yeah..as I watch you behind that guy, his speed and some of those blind corners…I am surprised there aren’t accidents and injuries
Hi. Glad you liked it. I am not sure how it is in the rest of the world, but in Norway it is a custom to greet other bikers by raising your hand. I think it is a nice custom. Also, in Norway, we are learned to use the horn only to avoid danger.
First of all, congratulations. It was a very nice video. What tire brand and model do you use? What was the temperature difference between the starting point and the ending point? Since my English is not very good, I used Google Translate. So I apologize.Thank you in advance for your interest and understanding.
Hi. Thank you for good words. I am not sure what kind of tires that are on the bike, but I assume it is the standard tires that BMW use on their bikes. The bike is a 2023 model BMW 1600 GTL. I think the temperature was about 22 degrees in Geiranger and the temperature at the top was approx 10 degrees. Sincerely Kjetil
@@KjetilSwBie 🤔 You don’t know the tires on your ride? BTW, that’s a nice GTL, Not a fan of the mid control driving position, I know that you can get floor boards that are a little more fwd…but at 6’2” I understand it’s not great for taller riders. …will have to try one to be sure though.
The bike was so new that it had not had its first service yet. That was the reason for the warning light; the bike telling me it needed the first service.
Great video and great bike. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for those kind words. Sincerely Kjetil
14:53 - look! time travel is real.
Yes, a beautiful car.

Thank you for the wonderful tour of this part of Norway. :)
Thank you, Barbara!
bravo...
Nice easy riding style. Too many riders just want to go as fast as possible.
THank you! Trying to be a safe driver, even more so with a passenger onboard.
I agree, but Schaaf has left the chat. 😄

Hi. Hard to disagree with you, even thou many of those drivers are very skillful drivers. Sincerely
I hope BGM include verion.
I am not sure what you mean with "BGM". Please explain. Sincerely
Smooth ride.👍 You always raise your hand, why not using horn when you pass other rides?

@@canadiankrispybacon Unfortunately I don't know the tires on the bike. I prefer the 1600GT because of my 6,3, but both bikes are very nice.
Why orange warning sign?
The bike was so new that it had not had its first service yet. That was the reason for the warning light; the bike telling me it needed the first service.
What do they charge for 1st service on the BMW? Looking at that display, looks like you have 9k redline 😱
@@canadiankrispybacon Hi. I am not sure how much they charge for the first service. In my case that was part of the deal. Sincerely
Theres 6 gears, use them
Hi. We all have our individual driving style. Have to respect that. I do use 6th gear a lot, but not so much going uphill from Geiranger to Dalsnibba.
Please change gear a bit more, the engine is screaming
I like the sound of the six cylinder engine. It is not screaming in my ears.
Screaming? You should hear it at 8500 rpm. That was purring. Love my K1600 B. Heia Norge, hilser fra staten Washington, USA.
@@joffe1983 Hei. Takk for hilsen. Så den ikke før nå.
