The name Scotch egg comes from William J Scott who used to make & sell them . Over the years the name morphed to what it now. Great Scott I hear you say 😊
The M&S gastro ones are amazing . Best I've had. I get them as the starter in the meal deal they do for a starter, main and side. I'll have try these ones
(5) When I was living in New Zealand, I would occasionally get a Scotch Egg, but they were always cold (you would get them from the lunch meat counter). Fully-cooked egg. I thought they were good.
Holly Meteorites Pappman. Definitely ATM at £4, but worth it. A very nice treat the runny yolk. I wonder what it would be like between 2 slices of buttered toast 🤔🤤 Cheers John 👍😀
You're right Papp... They are all the money... But having a couple of these Asda Bistro Runny Scotch Eggs as a treat every now and then... With perhaps some Chips and Baked Beans... And with some Bread & Butter too... Would be okay i guess... By the way Papp... I tried the Nissin Cup Noodles Spicy Hot Chilli flavour yesterday... I added a decent splash of Henderson's Relish and Salt to it... And although it wasn't blow your head off spicy hot... It was very very good indeed... I've got to say though... That they're probably the best Noodles I've ever had... They were so moreish... That if i had a second pot in the cupboard... I probably would've made that second one as well... Yum!... 😋 When they were on offer... Asda were charging £1.25 each... But they are regularly priced at £1.70 each... So i'll probably only stock up on them when they're on offer pal... I haven't yet tried the Nissin Cup Noodles Seafood Japanese Style that i bought a few weeks ago yet... But i'll let you know my thoughts on that one... Probably within the next few days mate... Anyway Papp... Many thanks for the review... It's very much appreciated my friend... All the very best... Cheers mate. 🍺
Sainsburys just brought out a limited edition All Day Breakfast Soft Set Scotch Egg. Maybe give that a try. Reviews are a hit and miss between love and hate 😅 . It's got some sort of tomatoes and bacon mixed in the meat
The extra money has got to be for the outer coating, which seems a lot different than the usual scotch eggs. Still expensive though, as they haven't used so much energy producing a softer egg.
I dunno but find the yolk on all these soft set scotch eggs to be a bit weird. Almost like a jelly and sticky gloop. I’m guessing they must be cooked a different way or maybe even something used to get the yolk runny. 🤷🏻♂️
The smile on your face as you were eating the first taste just told me that it was going to be an emphatic ooh yeah papps. I've still not had a soft yoke scotch egg so maybe a trip to Asda is in order 👍👍🐷🥚
Kept us in suspense there. A real poker chew. Well played Papps.
Great review really enjoyed
Oh yeah!
I remember the good old days of buying Asda Smart Price Scotch Eggs for about 40p each, they were pretty good as I remember
I love a good ol' chin dribbler!

Lucky you they haven't got these in my Asda the gits.

I had these and thought the sausage meat was a bit plain, but it could have been a bad batch. Wasn't bad tho!
Nice one Papp partial to a scotch eggs
2 quid is pricey but to be fair most scotch eggs are crap quality so if these are that much better theyre worth it! Thx papp.
Name and number for the governor.

Real Men eat these in the car park at Asda. (Other car parks are available)
I got some from tesco and they gave me the shits
These things happen, I had the same from a frozen curry once
