you have great video quality, insane for 19 subs, another one :)
Thank you so much, friend. More to come!
This video has been very entertaining and well done , good job!!
Kind of you to say my g. Thank you!
I knew that... Same for BMW. The 325 was a 4wd, 4wheel steering, inline-6 military truck. They had Kubelwagen, Gelandewagen, and many other versions, but it's what all of the X-Drive vehicles get their heritage from. Would love to see a video on BMW X-Drive
In due time my friend. You’re quite knowledgeable.
@@CrackedPistons I bought an E46 325xi AWD manual Touring wagon, nerded out, wondering how far back BMW made AWD/4WD, and when the first 325 model was made, because I love the 326 (origins of Z cars from BMW), and the 327, 328, etc... but I was laughing aloud to find that the "325" was basically a German Jeep 🦾 explains why the engines are so strong for a "regular passenger car"
That is awesome.👏
the Quattro Coupe you shown the pic is not the Q Coupe it's the Sport Quattro and it was developed for homologation for Group B rallying and only 224 are made and only this was the turbocharged 2.1 engine, the regular Coupe was naturally aspirated and had longer body.
In the thumbnail? Good to know nevertheless 👍
@@CrackedPistons no, I'm talking about the one at 2:07
I see. Good to know g. Didn’t dig deep enough I guess.🙏🏻
@@CrackedPistons it's okay bro, you made a really good work tho so no worries :D
The regular coupé was a standard front wheel drive (if I remember rightly AWD could be ordered as an extra) and naturally aspirated but the Quattro Coupé ("Urquattro") had definitely a turbocharged 5 cylinder with about 200 horsepowers and of course the signature "fat cheeks". The shorter wheel based "Sportquattro" had 306 horsepower and a hefty price tag. It did cost more than a 911 turbo and wasn't a commercial success at all. But it didn't matter, because it was the base for the soon to come group B monster and of course a unique publicity opportunity to establish the famous subbrand "Quattro" which still is synonymous with high performance Audi cars.
Amazing videos and insane video quality. What editor do you use to edit your videos?
Thank you! I use After Effects and Premiere.
There's so much wrong here...
Could you please list some of those things? Would appreciate it!
@@CrackedPistons First of all Audi adapted the allwheeldrive system from VW (in this case the Iltis driving performance on slippery surfaces was superior compared to the then current 2WD Audi models), not the other way around. That led to a black project (almost no budget) with some quick and dirty cobbled together AWD Audi Prototypes, these confirmed the projected better performance and then again triggered the decision to create the Audi Quattro Coupé. The Italian word quadro (for four) is written differently, so Quattro is an artificial word creation made by one of the engineers involved in this project.
Dkw munga was first... Dkw is one part of Audi...
It was indeed ‘a vehicle with AWD’ but did not directly impact the development of Quattro like the Iltis did.
@@CrackedPistons yes oke, but audi made the iltis....
You could say that for sure. It was, however, a VW.
Too many inaccuracies in the story. You fail to highlight that the fundamental difference between the Iltis and the quattro system is the lack of a center differential in the Iltis. You also fail to mention that the Iltis was developed at the request of the German military who needed a successor for the DKW Munga.
Failed to mention what you mentioned is true, just didn’t want to put too many
details in it and make it 20 minutes long. I could explain every single part in the system and that would be great…..for enthusiasts, not necessarily everyone watching the video. I’m still learning my audience and the platform.
As you can see, I do have ways to go before being considered a competitive automotive TH-camr. (One of my first videos, isn’t it) Appreciate the info though g. 🙏🏻
If guess the word "failed" is a bit OTT, this clip is from my point of view still enjoyable but there's room for improvement. Don't worry too much about inaccuracies, because you're willing to answer questions in the comment section and that's part of a good work ethic👍!
I subbed, because the videos are good, but you're not popular. When popularity rises over 50k I might unsub again, because I'll find your vids in my recommended by that time.
Appreciate the kind words g. Truly 🙏🏻
