কয়েক বছর আগে যখন ছাত্রদের ওপর হিন্দুত্ববাদী মোদী সরকার পুলিশ লেলিয়ে দিয়েছিলো, আমাদেরই মধ্যে কেউ বলেছিলো "হিন্দুস্তান এক খোয়াব হ্যায়"
সংবিধান বলছে 'India that is Bharat', আর হিন্দুস্তান গো বলয় বোঝায়... তবু বক্তব্য টা একই থেকে যায়।

দাদাভাই নওরোজী ছিলেন গরম রক্তের মারাঠা নেতা। বাঙালীদের পাত্তা দেননা। তিনি মুগ্ধ হলেন গান শুনে।
বিপ্লবী সুভাষ চন্দ্র বসুর আজাদ হিন্দ ফৌজ অফিসিয়ালি এটিকে ভারতের জাতীয় সংগীত হিসেবে গাইত জাপানে, জার্মানীতে।

১৯৭১ এর ৩ মার্চ রেসকোর্স ময়দানে স্বাধীনতার ইশতেহার পাঠ অনুষ্ঠানে এই গান গাওয়া হয় প্রথম অফিসিয়ালি। ৭২ এ জাতীয় সংগীত নির্বাচনের প্রশ্ন যখন আসে
দুইটা গান ছিলো চয়েজ "আমার সোনার বাংলা" আর ডি এল রয়ের " ধন্যধান্যে পুষ্পেভরা।".
বঙ্গবন্ধু এইচ টি ইমাম কে দায়িত্ব দেন আমার সোনার বাংলার পুরো লিরিক্স রবীন্দ্রভারতী থেকে সংগ্রহ করতে। সেখানে দেখা গেলো
৭১ এ স্বাধীন বাংলা বেতার কেন্দ্রে আমার সোনার বাংলা শুনে মুক্তিযোদ্ধারা সাহস পেতে সেই ভার্সনের সুরের সাথে রবীন্দ্রভারতীর মূল ভার্সনের সুরের মিল নাই।
বঙ্গবন্ধু বললেন " না মিল থাকুক। যে সুরে গেয়ে আমাদের মুক্তিযোদ্ধারা দেশ স্বাধীন করেছে, সে সুরে আমার সোনার বাংলাই হবে বাংলাদেশের জাতীয় সংগীত। "

Some people dislike this video because they didn't know these extended verse is really exist in original song. They thought that these are some kind of bollywood masala just like they saw in bollywood films to get sympathy or attraction. The composition of song, selection of artists and video of the song superbly matched. Each of the artists' voice carries separate expressions with their signature tones. Justified the immortal script. Srijit showed his character in making the song but he also made' blunde'r by not including the song in Begamjaan. At least with the song the Begamjaan could be more popular and the itself would be reached to more number of audience.

It either points to the Almighty or to Swami Vivekanada, because it was Swami Vivekanada who motivated the Indian freedom struggle and hence wake up the sleeping India.

Tagore thought and wrote this landmark song in Bengali just as Bankim Chandra wrote his Vande Mataram in Bengali. Both use Tatsama words and hence they sound like Hindi. Both Hindi and Bengali have been derived from Sanskrit, hence such similarities are expected

@Biswadeep Roy Well sanskrit is a far parent of bengali language, it's much closer parents are magdhi prakit which was formed from sanskrit and also gave rise to purbi apabhramsa, bengali's immediate predecessor. So yes of course bengali language derived from sanskrit.
