@Savita Godbole I have not tried without asafoetida powder. But in my opinion, there are certain combinations which brings more aroma and taste to the food one of which, in this case, is asafoetida powder.

Asafoetida is used fot digestion, some people after eating bajji,pakoda etc which are made vth besan vl suffer vth gastric burning indigestion that's y mostly Hindus vl use asafoetida i.e.nothing but hing in every recipes it vl give aroma as well as for easy digestion
