This is probably one of the nicest videos I've watched about the siphon pump for well water.
It is a very good experience and I am very grateful to you for putting in the talent and effort to make this film and share it.
So I have questions and will risk asking them publicly, maybe it will be of use to you or someone else for the next video on the subject.
The first is whether and how often the barrel needs to be refilled to compensate for the loss of head in the system and why, when filling a barrel from a bucket into a pipe, almost no one uses a wide funnel, because it takes about 30 buckets to fill it, which is not an easy job, and the less water that is lost, the easier it is to do. How often do you have to fill the barrel?
Secondly, it would be good if someone could show to others in detail where to put the check valve so that the water does not go back into the well, and when to close and unclog the tap in order to make the system work properly.
And my third question, these are already details to understand the hydraulics, what is the approximate temperature difference between the water in the well and the ambient air, and the temperature of the water in the barrel after it is heated in the sun, and does the operation of this pump depend on what time of day it runs or on cold and hot days.

After all your comments finally the drum is empty. No more water. Refill the drum and it will flow again. Straight forward -this will not work for real - only for youtube. Just my concern to everyone.

@@dennisfrancisco9659 This is a siphon. A siphon only works from a high source to a lower outlet. It is not possiple to lift water up from a well with a siphon.

Hello Friends, I tried your project with plastic blue color drum (but thick) with 1 inch pipe for both inlet and outlet, filled the water and open the outlet valve the drum started shrinking from 3 sides and stopped pulling water from the 16 feet well, After I saw TH-cam advice for 3/4 inch inlet and 2 inch outlet, I just reduced the inlet to 1/2 inch (ie., 1 feet from the drum I cut the 1 inch pipe and fixed 1/2 inch small pipe with both the sides reducer). Now after filling water if I open outlet valve the drum starts shrinking from 2 sides and stopped pulling water from well,. The output pipe length is 20 feet and a 3/4 inch valve and again reduced to 1/2 inch for 5 feet , is it ok, please advice to get this project success. Why water stops pulling. No leakage in the inlet and outlet pipes. Air pressure pipe also 1 inch in both inlet and outlet area. After the master valve the air pressure pipe is also 1 inch to the height of the drum.. Please help me. Immediate response will the highly appreciable. I spend around Rs.3500/- for this project but still no success and failure continues ...
It only works temporarily until balance is reached between the vacuum force and the maximum suction force from the well.

Very impressive invention, but builtup of pvc pipe is not clearly stated ie. Pvc size, the condition of valve CLOSE or OPENehen fill and HOW the amount of water require to get the pressure base on drum size....please disloce clearly and demonstrate...tq
Dimentions of tubes are not critical. Larger tubes more water, BUT, source, water level in he well/canal must be elevated higher than the output/exit. All tubing must be air tight

First check if you can use it! Water level in the well must be higher than the exit point. It is not possible to lift water from a well in a flat landscape.

Not with one drum. 5-7 meters (16-20 feet) max. Maybe many drums tied into one another you get deeper.

@@petermlonganile191 Sorry, no. This system is a siphon and a siphon can not lift any water at all. You can not add more drums, will not help anything. From 60 m you must either do it manually or with an electric pump. Normally the pump then will sit in the bottom of the well.
