Amazing mod! I once did a sweet third strike mod with a big blue. It was beautiful. I’ve since sold all the 1ups but seeing yours inspires me to get back into modding. It was such a fun time! I usually bought them cheap and made custom game cabs out of them…multi-Williams out of a defender, third strike out of a big blue, mvc2 out of a big blue, gorf out of a tron to name a few! bravo!
Thanks! GORF out of Tron is a great idea! I’ve always wanted to do a DOT mod. Those Tron cabs are expensive though… for $299-$399 price range the HS-5 Deluxe is the perfect out of the box mod cab. And big blue, even though it’s on a riser is also a great mod cab at that price range. Having the proper form factor and decent hardware makes a huge difference. I’m a big coin-op fan, but I absolutely love modding these newer fighting cabs! 😆 I was recently on KLOV and found a list of all the original native releases on Big Blue! Have one more coming soon!
@@NEONBattleBitch the tron was basically given to me for about 100 bucks. I already had a pimped out tron at the time so I grabbed it and started the mod. I ended up selling it for a thousand bucks lol.
That cabinet is a masterpiece. Super clean!

@@starstarstar4643 I wish I had a Sega Dreamcast. According to TH-camr Rage Quitter 87, the Japanese version of the Dreamcast version of 3rd Strike had online play...only in Japan.
So great, my only fault with oneup are the new screens, I want a CRT monitor for that old school feel.But that screen with the scanlines looks good!

You can still play the original a1up games online, the extra games you install via softmod you won't be able to to play online

I painted the speaker panel and added the Q-sound speaker covers. Printed custom stickers, added an A1U molded coin door, and bought a 99 lives control panel. It has an A1U MvC2 PCBA in it. There’s a video on it too :)
Do you know how I could put a different graphic on the control deck? There is no deck protector to use as a template to cut out the holes for buttons and sticks. Would I have to unscrew the bottom plastic cover and take out all the buttons and put the graphic on, cut the holes out and rewire the buttons? I didn't build the cabinet yet, and I want to make it a Final Fight including putting FF graphics on the control deck and the piece that angles out. I have an FF plexi bezel and marquee from Escape Pod to use as well sized for this cabinet. They sell them on their site. I used black vinyl to cover the SFII Champion Edition logos on the sides, and put FF side stickers on the black vinyl.

If it's online capable I'm all for it the transition looks amazing but if you can't play third strike with people online it's pointless even modding it might as well hook up a PS4 and run 25th anniversary and pray people are on lol

Do you sell any of these cabinets? I’d love to buy one of these Street Fighter II cabinets with a Raspberry Pi or Pandora’s Box installed in it so I can play a bunch of old school arcade games.
