Bwana Mohamed MCA Kiunga Ward: Recognition of the Bajuni community is crucial, as language plays a vital role, and we as Bajuni have lost our identity. We were displaced due to land issues. When people are denied their right to their land, they lose their identity, which leads to other challenges. I would initiate a program to ensure people can own their land so that their history is preserved. In the 24/25 budget, there should be a focus on publishing all Bajuni books. All deserving teachers should receive training in this matter, a commitment I have taken seriously.
