    For all those saying the East / West are backwards, one thing to keep in mind - when viewing the star maps, the E and W are often reversed because you are looking up to the sky, not down to the earth. Perhaps that was part of the design?? I'm just shooting from the hip here.

    I would love to do some inlay work (not at your level, of course) but am confused about the inlay and pocket depths. I see so many conflicting opinions and you obviously know what you're doing. Would you mind telling me what depth you cut your mating components at, typically at least?

    As beautiful as always! You may want to cut out medallions at the 4 points; to rectify the transposed east/west. Unless; of course; they are a wayward family!! Lol

    Just curious at the end why you use a 1/4 endmill to surface the board instead of a 1" or 1-1/4 surfacing bit? Love the videos you do on these!!!

      Tends to shatter the grain on impact.
