I really don't mind people using guides, and you should make use of whatever tools and weapons the game gives you but I don't see why one would make a long video of their entire 'epic' journey of perseverance and growth while you literally just look up whatever is the most powerful thing on the internet, and then cheese the entire game. It's like making a video about how you became 'gangster in San Andreas' and the entire video is just you looking up cheats and using them.
This video makes me so upset with Dice, your passion in creating wonderful content shines bright when you are given material worth dedicating to. This was beautifully done and masterfully told. Thank you Jack. I really wish Dice gave you the tools needed to do this for battlefield like you once had, in another life perhaps.

On the same boat, I could sink hundreds of hours in Monster Hunter (which is little by nowaday's standards, still huge for me) but I never could stand From Soft games. Probably because the non linear style, which means no clear progress - you just play however you want, that if you went in without a guide, finishing the game could mean few hours or a few days.

I hate when you could just be under or over leveled for an area unintended, with no way of knowing except just going at it head on. But this game's visual and mechanic more than make it up for it. I'm downloading it as I write this. Can't really say the same for older From Soft games tho

I've been a fan of yours since the early days of BF4. I love your content and your love for the games that you cover, but nothing beats your videos in which you narrate your experiences as a grizzled man aged by fond memories of being beaten to the core and overcoming the odds in a glorious triumph. Tbh this gameplay really seems like he looked up lots of things online, like how to beat the bosses, where to find certain strong items etc... don't do this guys, it spoils half of the fun, and there is only one first playthrough.
I was extremely dubious of this game and came in with negative expectations. Safe to say I’ve played it every day since release and it keeps getting better. What a masterpiece
I had negative expectations because i absolutely hated dark souls 3, but elden ring is just that much of an improvement. Those negative expectations made the eventual experience even better.

Lovely video. I’ve got about 150 hours into the game now. It’s one of my favorites of all time. But I do think we could ask them for more…just a bit more direction and story for the quests would have made this game even better in my opinion.
i actually love the no direction, it forces you to learn and the satisfaction of victory is so much more when you finally win. they want you to suffer and suffer so when you finally win it feels amazing.

And they just patched so arcane scaling actually works on weapons lol This game is Fucking Massive! I spent a ton of time in the first couple areas only to reach another whole god damn massive area! Followed by at least 5 more massive areas! Christ! It’s intimidating! I wish I had this game when I was in high school!

I've beaten Elden Ring once already, but I still keep coming back to this video every so often. The sheer variety of weapons, magic, strategies, and the amount of exploration stitched into these clips is an absolute masterpiece, and even though it's only 19 minutes, it feels like an incredible series of overcoming obstacles, discovering new things, and splashed with occasional humor. And of course, all of it is voiced over by Jack's good narrating voice, making this definitely a pleasant use of 19 minutes every time I see it. Thanks, Jack!

This is your stereo-typical first run in elden ring, start out with bloodhounds fang and use royal remains armour, then switch to dual unchigatana with seppuku, of course the +10 mimic.. and switching to moonveil for the final fight, and of course….. rivers of blood
I’ve played the game through and loved it all, I have watched 100’s of Elden ring videos, all with different TH-cam’s but Jack, this is by far the best, can you do other videos like this?
I couldn’t kill maliketh for hours but after farming runes leveling up and getting the mimic tear I was able to kill him. Took me a few tries with my mimic but I got him and for some odd reason I just walked through the last 3 bosses. My build was just a straight up strength build and a maxed out Greatsword (guts greatsword). No casting spells or drinking stuff. No bleed no elemental. Just all out wack em till it dies build and I walked the last 3 bosses. Lol idk why but maliketh was the toughest boss for me in the whole game. This is my first souls game btw.

It is crazy how watching you play this from beginning to end you started the game off with expectations of not struggling the bosses being somewhat easy and overall a cheery attitude I like how over time all the struggling and triumph that you experienced made you sound more mature and serious in your later fights

This game is Fucking Massive! I spent a ton of time in the first couple areas only to reach another whole god damn massive area! Followed by at least 5 more massive areas! Christ! It’s intimidating!

I like it on how he said "Now that I've beaten Melania, Im ready to take on the end game bosses" pal, If you can manage to kill Melania you can kill anything 😂, also for new players of anyone who doesn't know this, Radagon and the elden beast is immune to virtually everything, what does a good amount of damage to them though is fire. Also physical damage/strike

I've beaten Elden Ring once already, but I still keep coming back to this video every so often. The sheer variety of weapons, magic, strategies, and the amount of exploration stitched into these clips is an absolute masterpiece, and even though it's only 19 minutes, it feels like an incredible series of overcoming obstacles, discovering new things, and splashed with occasional humor. And of course, all of it is voiced over by Jack's good narrating voice, making this definitely a pleasant use of 19 minutes every time I see it. Thanks, Jack!

This is your stereo-typical first run in elden ring, start out with bloodhounds fang and use royal remains armour, then switch to dual unchigatana with seppuku, of course the +10 mimic.. and switching to moonveil for the final fight, and of course….. rivers of blood

I couldn’t kill maliketh for hours but after farming runes leveling up and getting the mimic tear I was able to kill him. Took me a few tries with my mimic but I got him and for some odd reason I just walked through the last 3 bosses. My build was just a straight up strength build and a maxed out Greatsword (guts greatsword). No casting spells or drinking stuff. No bleed no elemental. Just all out wack em till it dies build and I walked the last 3 bosses. Lol idk why but maliketh was the toughest boss for me in the whole game. This is my first souls game btw.

It is crazy how watching you play this from beginning to end you started the game off with expectations of not struggling the bosses being somewhat easy and overall a cheery attitude I like how over time all the struggling and triumph that you experienced made you sound more mature and serious in your later fights
