    The fuel low level ECAM alerts are still valid. These alerts are triggered by sensors that are independent from the fuel quantity indications

  • @널리사
    @널리사 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Because they use independent sensors. Thanks for good info.

    Very interesting video, but could you add to this video ATC communication and engine shut down procedure. I think that a/c can’t flight with OEI at Cruze flight level

    • @faizalhadifauzi-4290
      @faizalhadifauzi-4290 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes indeed as the pilots decide to shut down one engine, they need to consider their one engine ceiling. so its a good idea to coordinate with your atc and check your highest MORA/terrain around.

    Fuel low level ECAM alerts are valid because these alerts are triggered by the different sensors independent of FQI.

    Captain, but if you have a discrepancy for
    example, rh wing has less fuel than the lh wing, why would you turn on the Xfeed? Thank u!

      only turn on the crossfeed AFTER confirming leak from right engine/engine pylon, following the shutdown of the leaked side engine(ur example: right engine). since the right engine is not running anymore and not using fuel from right fuel tank, it’s better and resourceful to use whatever remaining fuel from right side fuel tank to supply the remaining left engine, instead of it being leaked away.

    Hi dear cap ! If we find that the FQ difference is already 1000kg between each wing BEFORE chrono ,do we still need wait until another 300kg leaking ? Or can we just determin that the leaking is from wing/eng/pylon at that time?

    • @Captain_SQ
      @Captain_SQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very good question. No need to wait, you already know which side is leaking. Constant monitoring of the fuel is required even before it reach such a large discrepancy.

    Hi Capt, Thanks for the video. How do you get the fuel quantity / the FOB in the first place to the ECAM? Is it thru manually inputting the fuel upliftment figures to flight computers or is there anyway that the aircraft itself could weigh the fuel stored in each wing and center tanks?

    • @Captain_SQ
      @Captain_SQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Isuru, when you are on the ground and refuel, the sensors will show you the actual fuel you have onboard. And in the MCDU, you will key in the fuel figures that is shown in the E/WD display.

      Hi Capt. You must have some of the best videos I have seen on the A320 for review purposes. You're cutting out all the redundancy and focus on what's important. So much appreciated! Two comments I would like to make. 1 Can you cover all the memory item's? 2. Sometimes you're speaking a bit too fast, and some of the technical pointe would had been missed if is wasn't for adding subtitles on the video. Otherwise definitely best I have seen so far!

    • @Captain_SQ
      @Captain_SQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Imran, thank you for taking the time to comment and your feedback. I do appreciate it. Sure I can cover the memory items soon. And noted on the pace. Will keep that in mind.

      @@Captain_SQ Great. Would love to give you feedback on improvements as you're doing a fantastic job in making a complex subject so easy to grasp! I am rated on the A320 myself but currently not flying due to covid. So instead of spending countless hours on FCOM, your videos are great where FCOM can be used in conjunction with them Thanks again!

      @Captain_SQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mindforsuccess Thanks again and you are welcome. Ah okay, hopefully with the mass vaccinations globally, you will be back to flying soon. Also in my previous videos, if there are some technical terms which I spoke too fast, there is a playback speed feature on TH-cam at the bottom right where you can slow the video down to 0.75 or 0.5 speed. In future videos, I will make the adjustments.

    Explain FOPP noise

    • @Captain_SQ
      @Captain_SQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Leon, because of the cavities, the fuel overpressure protector will create a whistling noise. Hence Airbus has installed air flow deflectors to reduce the noise. Basically it is a squarish metal piece installed near the cavity area of the FOPP. You will be able to see it if you are doing an external walkaround check.
