i wouldn't live in any of those places. Even if scientists could prove me there are no ghosts or anything like that, my mind would drive me crazy. it's not the ghosts, it's not the monsters, it's not the picture frames looking at me while i sleep, it's not the forniture moving by itself, it's my mind! i would start imagining all of these things i listed before and i would pee my pants, afraid of my imagination.

Whenever I'm home alone I turn on all the lights and the T.V. and pretend I'm not alone. I am really scared of a lot of things like link o_o
Reading and I'm home alone.
I do the opposite, if im home alone i'm just going to lock myself up in my room (meaning the only room you can see light into). Because there is a higher chance that a ghost will come out then turn of everything if you do that

My old best friend's house is haunted af. I wouldn't even go in there anymore because so much stuff had happened to me there. Like the water would turn on by itself, doors would lock and open by themselves, when I was spending the night the blanket would by ripped off of me, etc. Creepy as hell.

In our house died a friendly old man. My mam knew him and he loved kids. He had three or two kids. So when we moved, my mam was happy, because she thought, the old man protected us :)

Lol I'm just like link! I cannot be alone and whenever I'm home alone I get really scared and turn on all the lights. I always have to run back upstairs when I go downstairs in the middle of the night.

I was a pretty hardcore skeptic until about 7 years ago. I had just moved into my aunts home, and was up till 3 am reading, because I wasn't adjusted to the timezone change. I had my music on, and I heard three knocks at my door, as if my aunt was telling me to turn my music down.
I replied to the knocks with a "sorry, I'll turn it down", and continued on reading. I heard another three knocks 15 minutes after, and this time I turned my music off and said "What is it?". No one answered me, so I thought maybe they just went straight to bed. Another 15 minutes exactly passed, and three knocks again. This time I jumped out of my bed, and threw the door open because I was irritated and convinced that my cousin, who had a room right next to mine, was playing a trick on me.
I got up as soon as I heard the knock, but when I opened the door, no one was there. I felt a knot in my stomach, because the hallway was pitch black, and the house was in complete silence. I turned on the hallway light, and made my way to the other rooms. Both my aunt and cousin were completely knocked out. I so scared that I ran back into my room, and didn't sleep until sun rise. I told my aunt about it the next morning, and she laughed. Apparently I was staying in the "death room", where my great aunt, and great great uncle both passed away. She told me that was her room before, and also her fathers, and it happened to both of them around my age.
Needless to say, when I visit, I stay in a hotel. Even now as I type, I feel that uneasy knot in the pit of my stomach.

I noticed that
I believe in ghosts. When my dad was still married to my devil step mom, I would stay over there every other week. There was a very weird vibe in that house. It always felt like someone was watching me. I stayed up late watching tv one night. There was a bathroom at the top of the stairs. That was the weirdest room in the house. It was getting late so I decided to go to bed. I got about halfway up the steps and froze. There was something sitting in the bathtub, staring right at me. It was like a black figure. I have never felt so scared in my life. I literally feared for my life. I sprinted down the steps and hid under the blankets on the couch. After that I made sure to go to my room early or stay downstairs if it was late. I did anything to avoid whatever it was that I saw. I was afraid to even take showers over there. I know that what I saw was real. I wasn't even tired. It spikes my anxiety just thinking about it.
Me too! One time I was in my house and there were dolls in the hall way and one fell and I jumped and the doll was stable it haven't fell in a year it was 12:00 at night i was playing call of duty black ops 2 and at the end of the game my screen turned black which happens all the time well I saw a ghost in that reflection and I turned around and it was gone I almost had a heart attack

I've lived in a house that's haunted for all my life. Gotta love that when your house used to be a funeral home back in the day.
I've never lived in a house that wasn't haunted. Up until I was 11 I lived in a small town house where I saw a man standing in front of my closet, and later on saw a decapitated head float behind the stairwell in the basement.
Then I moved into the house I'm at now, which has significantly more activity, though I have seen a confederate soldier tower over me while I tried to fall asleep, and I still see shadows dart here and there. I get this strong creepy vibe from a certain room in the basement, and a few times I've woken up from something shouting in my right ear, (I sleep facing the wall, which means I'm laying on my left side)
I've had model horses fly off of my shelves - one even landed on my lap and there's no way that could've happened if it simply fell from its previous location. I've had model horses move (they'll change directions), as well as their riders (which are articulated so it's 100% creepier than seeing the horses shift) since I keep them all together on my shelves, and I'll wake up to my computer turned off, or my music paused, or my closet door open. I keep an eye on my mannequin especially (the wooden articulated artist's one) because he'll change poses as well. He's behaving though, since I've had him standing in a very effeminate sassy pose for the past week with no change.
In the spring I'm moving to my dad's, which is right down the road from a Cherokee burial ground, and notorious for activity. My aunt, who lives next door, has seen Native women dancing in her living room, her movie case opened (and it's heavily magnetized which takes quite some force to open) and her horror movies only flew out onto the floor. She was sitting on her couch when two confederate soldiers walked through her kitchen and asked "What do you need two horses for?" She suspects they were talking to each other, but considering she has two horses of her own, she assumed they were talking to her. Next door to the left of me is a demon in every sense of the word. The man breeds puppies only to sacrifice them, as well as harm other animals (he tossed everything that was glass at the base of the gate to my paddock, which is where my horse always stood waiting for breakfast.) My brother in law, sister, and aunt all said that they were standing on my aunt's porch, when they heard a saw start up and the pained cries of a puppy. At the same time, the streetlight started flickering, and they all got a very strong, evil vibe. Not too long after, the man walked up to his truck and looked at them, and they said that a black figure stood at the base of the light and when the man looked at them, his eyes were red and he was expressionless. I have no reason not to believe my sister, and even less reason to not believe my brother-in-law since he hates horror things and wouldn't come up with something like that.
Onto the house that I'm actually moving in to, last time I visited Dad I saw a Cherokee chief standing at the gate of my paddock, and he watched me as I walked inside. My aunt has seen the same chief, and my cousin saw him standing in their kitchen window at three AM when he went to get a drink, and peed himself. In my room is a Victorian boy about 8-10 years old, whom my dad has also seen. My bed started shaking once (it felt like an unbalanced washing machine was shaking the house, but Dad wasn't doing any laundry to support that) and ever since , I've slept on the couch. Though that didn't help me, because the boy has woken me up multiple times by giggling in my ear, and when it's not him it's the same screaming thing that wakes me up occasionally here. Needless to say, I stay up all night until dawn lights the room before I fall asleep.
We have large mirrors hanging on the wall above the separation to the kitchen (It's an island counter and the cupboards above it make the wall to the living room, so there's a space where you can see into the kitchen between the counter and the cupbaords) that reflects the complete wall opposite it, and a couple times when I walk up the hall to go into the kitchen or living room, in the far right corner of the mirror I've seen a person standing in the corner of the wall closest to me. They're never there whenever I actually enter the room, but I have a fear of mirrors as it is, so it still gets to me.
My dad has said that a couple times he woke up and literally IN the pillow next to him would be a woman's face. This happened both at home, and a couple times when we went camping, which was when I first heard of it. I later saw the same woman illuminated onto the front door in the living room of my first house, and there was no way light could reflect onto the door with its location.
I can't sleep alone. I have to have an animal or person with me in order to feel safe. I can't take my dog with me when I move since mum insists he's hers since she pays the vet bills (fair enough), so I'm getting a cat. Or three. Because of my history with the paranormal, I heavily rely on animals. My logic is; if they're calm, I have no reason to worry. Dad doesn't have any animals of his own, so I always feel anxious when it's time for me to go to bed, so hopefully the cats will counter that.

I feel exactly like Link does! I just get soooo scared when i'm home alone, because your mind just wanders as soon as you hear a noise your not used to. My parents nearly bought a house that I'd already told them was scary and haunted 'cos the door opened and closed without anyone being there it was so so so scary!! Even sometimes in the evening when i was walking the dog I would see the curtains get moved to the sides by a transparent gost - ish hand. And in the living room there was an empty wheelchair that would randomly move around the house - both me an my best friend has experienced this and we are convinced that it's haunted, and the worst part about it is that me and my best friend and her littlebrother discovered this while trick or treating at Halloween!! It's SERIOUSLY CREEPY!! Luckily they didn't buy it!

one time I was alone at my two story house and I went up the stairs nothing happen but when I went down stairs and still alone and something pushed me off and made me brake my foot and my arm

My friend told me a story about living in a haunted house. The house was a typical Victorian house that you would find anywhere here in UK. He was about 6 and he was always hearing voices and weird noises, the typical stuff. The point that stood out was how, for a few weeks, he would wake up in the middle of the night every night because of these strange dreams he kept having. After he woke up, he saw a woman who was in a sitting position in the corner of his room staring at him (there was also no chair where she was sitting). He started screaming for his parents while the woman kept staring at him, not doing anything. His parents entered the room but the woman was still there. His parents looked and couldn't see anything and the woman disappeared after they turned on the lights. Now my friend is interested in strange stories. Evidence of this was how he explained the entire Russian Sleeping Experiment from the top of his head.

A really long time ago, when I was really little, I walked into a room and say what looked like the bottom of ( clear-ish) legs, walking across the room. I got really scared and still remember it. I was really young so my brain may have been playing tricks on me so it might not be true. I was really scared of ghosts back then and I still am now.

I live in a haunted house too. He has turned on saws. He has said my name. One time we were gone on vacation, and our neighbor was watching the house. He was going to open the door to our house, but a voice said, "Stay Out," Also during that time he kept opening cabinet doors. Last year a good friend of my mom's wanted to keep order of our house. Every time she would turn off the lights the ghost would turn them back on. Finally she got really ticked so she shouted, "keep the lights off!" and the ghost stopped turning them on. You can also hear is footsteps at night sometimes, super creepy. My dad used to believe ghosts were fake, but one night the ghost turned on the treadmill in their room. My dad turned it off, but the ghost kept turning it back on. Finally my dad unplugged the treadmill.

the Villisca Ax Murder House was actually in an episode of Ghost Adventurers, so was the Winchester Mystery House. And believe me, haunted houses are one thing, but what about restaurants, shops/stores and hotels? Here in Ontario Canada, there is a lot of places haunted, not just here in Ontario but other parts of the Provinces and the Territories of Canada. Newfoundland, though, is very popular for watery grave ghost stories. But in america, one place that is known to have the stairs to heaven and the gates to hell, Bobby Macky's Music Store. that place has a real possession and exorcism happening, and the demons are still there
Ashley Salmon There is a show called "The Dead Files" that airs on the Travel Channel that also went to the Ax Murder House. They also go to places other than homes, but they stay in the states. So if your into the paranormal check it out.

When I was younger, we moved into a house in France which was built in the late 1800s (like a lot of houses in the neighborhood). We thought it was a nice house at first until we experienced things like footsteps, doorknobs twisting and untwisting, constant coldness and at night the sound when we open the front door kept occurring etc. We moved out 5 months later.

I inherited the house that my mother passed away in (2015) and her cremains are here. I have never felt uneasy about living here nor have I ever heard or seen anything unusual. Everything has been fine. My brother passed away in his home where his wife still lives (2012) and his cremains are in that house. His wife told me she has never felt weird nor scared and she hasn't seen nor heard anything unusual.
I believe that when we die, that's it.

I spent my childhood living in a haunted house. The house was around 20 to 30 years old when me and my family moved into it. It was a big and nice home, and my parents rented it from an old man. Shortly after we moved in my mom kept seeing the spirit of a little boy standing behind the couch. Me and my brother were too young to notice that there was someone there, I was still a baby while my brother was still a toddler. When I was 8 I had my first experience with the ghost alone, 2 years later I had another. 1 year later we moved out after living in that house for 11 years. No one else that rented that house after my family moved out, and it's been 4 years that house has been empty.

I would NEVER live in a haunted house, nor would I visit one. I had a friend who always wanted to go ghost hunting. I was like, "Have fun without me!" But we often shared paranormal experiences with each other, and she used to tell me about frightening experiences she'd had in her room, and she was like, "What did I summon?!" After that she had no desire to go ghost hunting.

I myself am a firm believer in the paranormal. I do live in a haunted house and have myself experienced paranormal activity. I am not the only one. In the house it was said an old woman whom was the previous owner of the house had died in the house. She was a small old woman with white hair, i have personally not seen her but, complete strangers have come over and have reported seeing her in the attic window looking down at them. I may not have seen her but, she used to open the door of my bedroom a few times, and my name has been called as well when no one was home. Now you may or may not believe all this but that is completely up to you. But i for one love the inexplicable
