    I have watched almost every other review of the supro delta king ten. This is the first one that shows the unique vintage sounds you demonstrated! Great demo. Thank you!

    I totally agree. I have and prefer 10". If Supro put a send-return on this model it would be perfect.

      100% agree on an effects loop. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!

      Regretfully, I’m nine months late. This is only true for the Delta King 12, but the Power Amp In and Line Out will function identically to an FX Loop. Line out is your “FX Send” and Power Amp In is your “FX Return”. I have this setup and it works perfectly!

    Tip for anyone buying these, the eq section is subtractive and each one is a separate gain stage so "noon" or a flat eq would be with all the eq controls cranked. You take away frequencies to taste. Try cranking those eq controls and it'll make these sound huge even at low volumes.
    Edit: I actually just got mine (the dk 12) today not long before stumbling across this video and I absolutely love it

    Thanks, Brad! Very helpful video. I’ve got a Vox AC-15 and Supro Delta 12 in my studio trying to see which to get. I found the Vox has got tons of sound variety but you have to keep the volume and Master high to hear the beauty but unfortunately lots of extra amp noise. I found this Delta 12 not very noisy at all and generally a beautiful tube sound, tighter, warmer. Vox is more jangly but unique in its own right. Then I put the Universal Audio Dream pedal in front of both and realize the Dream with the Delta 12 can help the Delta sound more jangly if needed. Next off to try the Laney Supercub against these.

    Always get a 12" combo if you can. But I'm now seeing a few 8" Supros on reverb for as little as $200. That is such a deal if you are in that area.

    I was at my local GC the other day in May 24, and got some great jazz and rockabilly on a supro DK12 with a D'Angelico archtop and low end Squire Tele.
    I pulled off a mean Luther Perkins riff for Johnny Cash's "Wreck of The Old 97".

    Thanks 4 the review . I appreciate the in the room sound ! Gives me a better idea of what I'm going to hear . I do have a question and was wonder if you could help . I have a fender gtx 100 . If i run from the line out on DK 10 into the front of the fender , would i be able to use the fenders looper ? Thanks !

    Love your review man! Good to hear a pedalboard through the delta king. Would you run this with a twin reverb? Looking for another amp to go with my Twin

    • @Bradjohnsonmusic
      @Bradjohnsonmusic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you liked the review! The Twin is a different beast than the Delta King. You're going to hit the sweet spot of the Delta King at much lower volumes than a Twin, so if you're looking for something that is more "bedroom friendly" that can take pedals and stay clean, then the Delta King will give you that. You also get the added bonus of the boost/clean channels for more coloration and tones.

    I really love my 10" but even in this video I hear a thuddy-ness, like it's not open and free, I think it's the speaker cone but absolutely a great amp.

    • @Bradjohnsonmusic
      @Bradjohnsonmusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the 10'' sounds more focused with the drive and the boost engaged. The cleans sound great as well, but yes you aren't going to have as much headroom as with the 12''. They are both fantastic amps though.

    Thank you for your comaprison. As I am more after clean tone, wold the 12inch still be perfectly usable at bedroom volume levels? Thanks

    • @Bradjohnsonmusic
      @Bradjohnsonmusic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you liked the review! Yeah, you can still get great clean tones at bedroom levels with the 12''.

    Ive always get the jist that this amp may be , or may not be the sounds your looking for if you're after a 5f1 champ tone ! But they never elaborate on it. Guess ill have to plug into one n' find out

    A used DK12 and a decent tremolo pedal would make a fine combination for my hillybilly style of playing.
    I don't do distortion.....hate it unless it's the overdrive sound that Robben Edsel Ford gets out of his Dumble.

    May I ask if it is possible /after adjusting the EQ on the 10 inch/ to get pretty close to the high end definition of the 12 inch? Thanks

    • @Bradjohnsonmusic
      @Bradjohnsonmusic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment. While adjusting the EQ will open up the top end, it doesn't change the headroom. In fact, because you're adding gain with the EQ you may reduce headroom, causing the amp to compress/distort.
      The clarity of the 12'' comes from the higher wattage and tubes used. So, there is inherently more room for the sound to breathe, and it takes more to push the amp into overdrive.
      That being said, the 10'' is still a fantastic amp with great clarity at lower levels. My two cents: if you aren't playing with pedals, go with the 10''; if you have pedals in your rig, go with the 12''.

    New to electric guitar. Can you use a tremolo pedal with the 10?

    • @Bradjohnsonmusic
      @Bradjohnsonmusic  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, you totally can. Just be aware that you may get a bit of squish from the tubes (not always a bad thing!) if you are running the amp hot.

    10 is always better for studios more dialed in if your going to go big then go big 20 watts or more.
