This game was a lot of fun with the combat and acrobatics, however it was too easy as you can never die because Elika will always save you whether or not you fall to your death or get hurt too much.
At times I accidently jump of an edge a lot because sometimes it is hard to tell when way I am going to jump from how the camera is positioned, or at times the jumps get delayed so I press jump again and I jump off a cliff because of it. -

I have this game for almost 15 years from its release and only now I realise there is a DLC 😱
Ok. I went for about 4 years never knowing this dlc existed, and honestly the ending of the original left a huge impact on me. Then I hear there's an epilogue dlc, and search it up, and find this. t h I s. I'm going to do everything in my power to wipe this from my memory.
Same. Even though I didn't like the original game, I still liked Elika, Prince and the ending. This ruined even that little bit of what I liked about the game.

The Prince brought back Elika proving that he is willing to sacrifice whatever he must to save the person he loves. Even for a second, he wanted to be Elika. The closing shot of the game was them walking away from the collapsing temple with Ahriman chasing behind them.
Why ruin such a perfect ending?

Ubisoft is more evil than Ahriman.
Probably not even Ubisoft have an explanation as to why this DLC even exists... It not only ruins the atmosphere of the game's ending but it kind of just leaves the story on a cliffhanger as if setting up for a sequel which we all know didnt happen
There was definitely a sequel in plan with a happy ending but was somehow dropped.
Thank God it didn’t. They clearly paid no respect to this franchise after AC.
There happens to be on Nintendo DS game called PoP: The Fallen King. It follows the story after the epilogue but it's probably not what we're looking for.

It was a gorgeous and a fun new take on the Prince of Persia franchise. Hope they revive it in some way, maybe a new game or a rework.
They made an ending that left a bad taste in my mouth, then they made an epilogue DLC that made the ending even worse. I accept that happy ending is not always an option, but THIS?!
Yeah, warrior within had the best ending, (if you got the water sword).
The original ending was very good imo, this dlc just ruined it.
@@pierce-franklin That's not exactly an ENDING, coz it's part of a series of games with connected story. I would have said Two Thrones had the best ending but it's ruined by that unnecessary mental realm stuff. I would have preferred of it just ended with te vizier battle or if we had a proper boss battle with the dark prince.

Is it me or somebody else too find out that the new prince is fun. The old prince(pop trilogy) was way too serious. I still like pop 2008. Even though I played a lot of warrior within & two thrones, more than 8-10 times each. But pop 2008 is still hold a soft corner in my heart. Hope ubisoft will bring back prince once again.
And i agree, years years years i still remember this beautiful game. Opinions!
I like both in different ways. Would love to get a sequal to the 2008 one.
For everyone not satisfied and even disapointed with this ending (like me), how about this:
Prince watched Elika fly away. Given the choice - death at the hands of incoming Aryman or in the depths of the abyss, he chooses the second one, hoping for a miracle. He jups out and when he is nearly collision with the ground, Elika saves him once again. She calls him idiot but he repeating his faith in her and her power. And when she doubts again he kisses her (finally ;p), grabs her hand and, using all 4 Ormazds elements, whose power also influenced Prince after this jurney they together defeat Aryman. Everything collapses, Prince loses consciousness. When he wakes up he lies on the desert, Farah the donkey is standing next to him and he starts thinking that everything was a dream. He takes the donkey and start walking. Then on his way he finds an unconscious woman covered in sand. She has brown hair, a swarthy skin, and a familiar voice. When the woman woke up she does not know who she is, but Prince recognizes her. He turns back, where a moment ago was a huge palace and beautiful lands with the temple, now the endless desert stretches out, and he decides not to say anything to her. He invites her to his journey. And so they walk towards the setting sun - Farah, Elika and Prince who will finally have his carpets. The end ;)

Because Ubisoft ruined the story
her father sacrifices his soul to make her alive, releasing ahriman in the process. Ahriman, capable of destroying cities is on the verge of being released and finally she sacrifices herself to trap ahriman, save everyone, dies honorably. Then my dude goes on to undo everything. Entire progress of the game lost technically. I say she has every right to be angry.
Unfortunately, I played this game again after 10 years because of the new DLC. But the site lied about the DLC and it didn't exist. After watching this clip, I realized that it has a horrible ending. Ubisoft is not making games like it used to and is just ruining them. I hope you continue this series as before

That fun moment when they did make a prequel. It was a DS game called
Prince of Persia: The fallen king.
It starts with the prince and Elika splitting up and the prince going away to try and summon the light god. He doesn’t but gets told that HE may to be able get a new power to win! :)…. In the next game!!!! That never came out

I didn't even know this DLC existed until about a year ago I remember playing this when the ps3 was new and think how that was such a wierd ending to the game.

God in heaven this DLC is a dissapoinment for the game and the Story.
Gameplay is ok bit the fight are scripted to be long and "challenging".
The story has the baddest end that nobody wanted to see. And IT WAS A PAYED DLC NOT A FREE UPTADE OR IN THE GAME

This is some disgusting ending..And here I was complaining why epilogue was never ported to PC. Surely, they knew that the epilogue was devastating. I should have thanked the folks who decided not to bring this corrupted epilogue to PC. Damn Arhiman corrupted the ending lol.

I finished the game and I was shocked at the finale . I didn't had or knew about this dlc ,l watched it and it was ok but not perfect like the game. This ain't one of the worst dlcs ever but it could be better l guess. Nonetheless I loved the main game so much!
Iam really sad it got scrapped, it was my first bigger game I played (and could not understand 90% of dialogues) but even after all those years I wanna see how story continues, cmon Ubi give us comic, book, smaller game or something because Fallen king sequel ended with even bigger cliffhanger in hope for sequel

They don't. There is always an alter-ending.
Not for this one, even if you clean the game with collecting all the lights sphere and find all the fresco : the end is still the same

Just completed this epilogue for the first time 2023. Overall not worth it, the ending was not good at all. Worse than the normal game. Missed the banter between Elika and the Prince as well. Left a bad taste in my mouth.
I would have rather let them die because of the prince's decision then whatever this was supposed to be

It's an incredibly broken dlc - movements are off, clipping issues everywhere. I think they actually apologised at the time but never fixed any of it.

For me the ending of the base game was perfect and should be left as it was. This "epilogue" is just garbage

I understand that this video is old but, is this the DLC that they have been talking about that are exclusive to consoles only? What a pathetic waste of time. Cause, take main game. You have different locations that you can visit and change them. And they all look cool but here, you simply stuck in some cave, running around boring mazes until it all ends. Like WTF were they thinking?! And they say that this is exclusive to consoles? Some poop a$$ exclusive if you ask me! No wonder they didn't ported it to PC, cause they knew that their DLC is a wack.
Also, watching every time the author of this playthrough f-cks up every time, falling in to a trap and replaying same segment for few times is so boring. Like, come on man, can you get better or is the controls on gamepad are so bad? I mean, I thought that on PC controls were bad, because they didn't show you actual buttons that you have to press but a freaking icon of a hand, or foot or sword, but I never thought that it is worse on consoles lol. Like, seriously! Nobody wants to watch you mess up your playthrough by loosing every 5 - 10 seconds. And thank god that you can skip those moments in video by rewinding the video forward. Otherwise, it would be painful to watch.
About the game in general. Maybe back in the days it was a great game, but now, it can't even work on Windows 10 properly! I mean, it works but it stutters and lags so freaking hard, man. And there is no fixes for that anywhere. Sure, there is some advices but they don't help. So playing this game now, when suddenly it drops FPS very hard, is making this game unplayable. Well, at least main game is not boring looking, but the combat is pathetic. I didn't thought of that back in the days and were playing and, kinda enjoying the game but now, after replaying Sands of Time, Warrior Within and Two Thrones, I feel like this game is a waste of time. And then Ubisoft keeps killing Prince of Persia franchise by their new PoP game called Prince of Persia The Lost Crown. Yeah, right. More like The Lost CLOWN lol. And why do they never learn anyway...
