1964: The year I got my first acoustic guitar at Ernie Ball's very first store (Tarzana, California) after seeing The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show on February 9th, 1964. Then came The Rolling Stones, The Doors, and everyone else. The Doors and Jefferson Airplane played at my high school (Birmingham High School Braves in Van Nuys, CA) in 1967 when I was 16.
