The best tutorial on YT about neon effect ❤
Just a perfect tutorial like all your videos just perfect thanks 🙏🏽
No matter how basic one thinks a PS task is, You allways come up with something usefull. I never thought of shadows as a neon glow! 🙂
Thank you, Carl!
Over the years I have watched several PS tutorials on neon, and this tutorial presents the most realistic version I have seen so far. Those small potent details you present in the tutorial give the overall composition that extra realistic look and feel. Great tutorial! Thank you, Jesus.
Thank you, MWRoberts!
Hi, amazing, thank you 👍 very useful
Have a good day everyone 🙏
Thank you!
this tutorial covered glow effects and shadows so perfectly
i teach PS at the college, and of all the videos online, i keep coming back to yours. You are a teacher i like learning from. thanks so much.
This video contains so many shortcuts/hacks that I've been looking for in Photoshop but hadn't found yet. Thank you!
Once again, Jesús has hit the nail. Thanks for this and all of your great tutorials.

I did it, thank you. Really easy to follow. I'm a beginner
Wow! Amazing and I'm definitely using this. Thanks Jesus!
Thank you, Christine!
這是一個非常完美的教程,我也嘗試做一次練習發布❤
Great tutorial! How do i avoid that the rectangel gets affected by the shadows from the text layer? With the red shadows the rectangel becomes sort of pink instead of blue
Very nice Tutorial 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😀
Pretty cool. Thanks for sharing.
amazing as always - you rule!
Thank you, J C!

An excellent tutorial, very helpful as always...........keep them coming! Many thanks.
You're welcome, Ady!
Thank knowledge
You're welcome!
This is a great effect! Could you go further & animate it to make it look like it's blinking off & on or shorting out? If so, that would make it look really cool.
Richard, Thanks! You animate it with the Timeline panel. But if you want to animate something like this, After Effects would probably give you better results and it would be easier.
I give up. You talk so fast, I had to keep rewinding to see where you were clicking and then what number you were entering.
@@marthayahoogillespie9567 Pause and rewind is what you're supposed to do. If I waited for everyone to catch up, the video would be 3 hours long.
@@marthayahoogillespie9567 you can always slow down the frame rate/speed of the video in playback settings, too. It really helps.
@@richardmendoza4389 thank you, I will give it a try.
Great!
Thank you
Lots of great ideas here, thanks!
You're welcome, Karsten!

Thank For Tutorial,
👍🙂
Thank you
You're welcome
Your tutorials are great but I would like to know how would you make a modern day portrait look old
Great video! When doing the background....what is the clipping mask and what does it do?
A clipping mask makes it so that the adjustment layer only affects the layer below. In the background it makes no visual difference. But it's a good habit to get into.
@@PhotoshopTrainingChannel thank you!
Great
Thank you!
great tutorial🤗 but what if I want to make neon light effect with random objects from other projects? for example a coffee cup or a simple star?!
💥❤
Its very nice, just one thing....lights don't create shadows. Other than that it looks great
Hi!
Forgive me to ask, but do you take requests for a pic editing. Such as ppl removal? 🙂🤭
A neon sign dont leave a shadow as it is the light. But cool way of doing a neon sign :)
Another excellent tutorial. You are my "go to" man when I need a refresher course on a procedure that I don't use often enough to know each step by heart. One question: At about 5:56 in your video, you indicate Layer Styles doesn't allow one to duplicate the Outer Glow effect. You are obviously using a much newer version of the version of PS than I am (CS6). Doesn't the newest version of PS allow one to right-click on the fx effect and choose; "Create Layer" (which of course creates a duplicate of, in this case, Outer Glow on a separate Layer)? In doing this, you would still have the ability to bring up Layer Styles on the Layer you started with, thereby duplicating the effect.......and being able to make adjustments on either or both Layers. Not meaning to "up stage" your fine tutorial but rather trying to figure out some of the new features of the latest PS before "pulling the trigger" and signing up for a year's subscription (which I having to do).
Hallo thank you for this tutorial. However, my material feature is not active. It does not bring the material. How can I fix this problem?
There is no "materials" option in my version of photoshop. in which version is it available ?
I've run into a problem. When I go to blending options to add the "glows" etc, my control panel looks different. I have the latest version, I don't have the spread/size info come up. Am I the only one? Great tutorial though!
I despair of the materials. Whenever I create a material with the layer selected, it just creates a Smart Object copy of the selected layer, but no material has been applied. I can't find a solution to this problem either.
Nice Tutorial, However, the Materials Window won't show up when go to Window -> Materials! Any idea why?
I apparently need to install the Beta version to enable this feature. So is what I found out.
I don't have materials, using PS cc 2019
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👌🏼🍎😎
👍
I search and nothing comes up, it just saying "click to add your own materials" there is no "brick" material nor is there any coming up at all?
I'm not sure that achieved result is realistic. Normally the source of light always makes a background brighter in light color range. Also it casts the shadows when background is not flat. In this case, the blue neon light creates something like blue fog covering the background instead make in brighter in blues . Of course, many beginners will get this effect as natural, but it is far from to be real. Can you make this tutorial again explaining step by step how to achieve reali lighting effect?
I don't understand. Can't I just tell an AI model to make this image for me?
Great, mate.
Thank you, lllovegunlll!
