Thank you so much for the guide! Currently in year 12 and I've been struggling with essays for a long time. Turns out, after finding this video, my problems have almost disappeared. Another thing that helped me a lot was to write multiple versions for each paragraph. Since I was always trying to make each paragraph perfect in one go, I was struggling to come up with an argument, however, after writing at least 5 versions for each paragraph, this problems were no more. I cannot say how much you have helped me in my essay writing. Thank you so much Lisa.

What if we've been taught to have like an ending sentence to our introduction, thesis statement(?), maybe like CAT acronym I'm pretty sure, Contextualise, Arguments, Thesis???
Gizmeow The Cat that sounds good too! This video isn’t preaching one perfect structure, but just one way you can go about it. I’ve seen great essays end with a thesis statement at the end of their intros!
Hey Lisa, I'm studying a book that I dislike this year and I was thinking that after my text response SAC on it, I can opt to avoid it for the rest of the course - just write on another text for the exam. Do you think that's a good idea, especially if I prefer my Year 11 book over this years?

Hi Lisa, for my macbeth text response essay we are allowed to bring in one A4 sheet of quotes. We are allowed to include who says them, as well as the essential questions (questions used in my class generated by teachers) and themes. How would you recommend organising my quote sheet as I'm aware that it's best to have quotes that fit into multiple themes? I don't want to constrict my ideas as well by putting it under one theme but I feel it might be helpful to maybe just list the themes/essential questions on my sheet? I don't know please help! thankss

in a higher level essay, jumping straight into the argument is advised, as the examiner us likely to know the context of the essay already
