- In a criminal case, a docket call is a status check to see if both sides are ready for trial, and if not, then the case will be continued, whether it's defense continuance or a state charged continuance.
If you got a notice for a docket call and you want to know, do I need to be there, well, that's going to be something that you're going to get from your attorney, and if we're representing you, we will let you know ahead of time whether or not you need to be there.
In most instances, you're going to have to have a written waiver of appearance for that particular court date. So if you want to know more what a docket call is, or if you have a case in Martin County, then give us a call at 561-671-5995.
