I have returned to this reaction several times now just wonderful work you are doing Lara is such a gift to the world of music and you do her reactions justice.
Hello surely one of the most beautiful concerts I have seen, a Lara refined without artifice, an incredible stage presence and the voice that envelops us. In the same concert, Lara sings an excerpt from Verdi's La Traviata that I really advise you to listen to 😌👌
Lara is just outstanding. Her musicality blows me away, and her ability to evoke emotion brings me to tears in every song. Thanks for a great analysis, as always.
Beautiful film ! Beautiful song…the song is peculiar indeed, but makes total sense in the context of the film. The pace, the strangeness of the situation the main character is facing, the solitude and quietness of the desert, the very odd characters she meets, the sadness, the kind of surreal situation actually. Lara’s rendition is of course another level…
More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Aretha, Shirley Bassey, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 10,000+ attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. She has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for 200+ songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. She often co-composes the music, and is at the source of the melodic line. • she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none • she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens. A quick background on her and her career: She is belgian, her father is flemish and grand mother on father side is dutch, but she also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia) and American roots ( the father of her mother is from Detroit). She had been raised in Sicilia first for 7 years then in Belgium so she speaks both italian and french as native languages. She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is still having vocal lessons and training several times a week today. She only moved away from opera to pop because she is first and foremost a songwriter. After her Eurovision participation in 1988 (4th), she really started her career in Canada in the early 90s, more precisely in Quebec, the french-speaking part of Canada. She had been living for years in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship. She moved to Sicilia end of 2022. She became very famous in Quebec in the early 90s with several double platine records and then conquered France in 1996/1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music). In 2000, she was about to penetrate the US Market, with a lot of media initial interest. Her first english song (I will love again), a pop dance song, stayed number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart for 58 weeks in a row and was number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. This concert is legendary, packed with masterpieces (covered by many great vocalists later on). But a dispute with Sony on artistry directions, and the will from Celine Dion's staff to block her progress in the US, completely broke this plan. She thus refocused back on Europe and made huge success there, extending her reach to Eastern Europe and Central Asia where she became an absolute superstar through her collaboration with Igor Krutoy during several years. She is absolutely massive in Russia for instance. She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace", used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera, topped the charts for months and become a recurrent in the local singing contests since then. Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban (they are friends and he told she is a role model for him), Linda Eder, … With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there. Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her. She is Dimash's idol and probably his main inspiration in the way he sings and performs: I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep. He covered many of her songs, most of these were composed by Igor Krutoy and written by by Lara. Out of my mind I can list: ○ Adagio (She wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Mademoiselle Hyde (she wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Love of Tired Swans (she wrote the song in French under the title "Je t'aime encore" and was the original performer of the french then the russian versions, Dimash covered the russian version) ○ Ascolta La Voce / Vocalize (this was a pure vocalization and she was the original performer, then lyrics were added for Dimash and it was rebranded as "Know") She also wrote the lyrics of Dimash's song "Your Love". And she covered "Love is like a dream" before him (song from Igor Krutoy originally performed by Alla Pugacheva). Finally, they also performed "Ti Amo Cosi" together, in trio with Aida Garafulina: this is a song that she performed originally with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Sumi Jo then again later with Dmitri and Alina Yarovaya, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy: Igor and Dimash connected after his Adagio cover, also endorsed by Lara. Igor came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him after it. Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs, some have Lara as a role model and big inspiration (singers from every region in the world: from China and Taiwan, to Philippines, Indonesia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Netherlands, Greece, Israel, Lebanon, Italy, France, Belgium, Norway, UK, USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Central Africa, …) ○ Floor Jansen (Adagio), ○ Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime), ○ Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie), ○ Morissette Amon (Broken Vow), ○ Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace), ○ Cakra Khan (Broken Vow), ○ Charice Penpengco (Adagio), ○ Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow), ○ Regine Velasquez (Broken Vow), ○ Dmitri Hvorostovsky (Adagio), ○ Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade, Je t'aime), ○ Forestella (Je suis Malade), ○ Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow), ○ Gigi de Lana (Broken Vow) ○ Julie Anne san Jose (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Rimar ( Adagio, Broken Vow, Know), ○ Il Divo (Adagio) ○ Daria Bentsa (I guess I loved you), ○ Sarah Geronimo (Broken Vow) ○ Laura Bretan ( Adagio, Caruso), ○ Jackie Evancho (Je t’aime, Caruso and Broken Vow, BV rewritten as « Imaginer » by Lara for Jackie), ○ Harrison Craig (Broken Vow), ○ Amir (Je t’aime), ○ Pauline Aguirre (Adagio)), ○ George Peris (Broken Vow, Humana), ○ Vitas (Adagio), ○ Wanessa Camargo (Love by Grace), ○ Anastasia Luna (Adagio), ○ Jeck (Je T’Aime), ○ Evgenia Fanfara (Adagio), ○ Anne Sila (pas sans toi, Tu es mon autre), ○ The Canadian Tenors (Adagio), ○ Anna Eriksson (Je suis malade), ○ Choi Sung Hoon (Je suis malade), ○ Soprano Turetsky band (Adagio), ○ Sarah Naura Irbah (Mademoiselle Hyde), ○ Elisabetta Rinaldi (Adagio), ○ Alyona Yarushina (Adagio), ○ Marie Payet (Pas sans toi), ○ Laurh (Immortelle), ○ Inger Lise Hope (Adagio), ○ Håkon Sønsterud Tollefsrød (Broken Vow), ○ Flora Tandi (Bambina), ○ Cindy Chao (Yeliel My Angel), ○ Majda Roumi (Adagio), ○ Abraham Mateo (Adagio), ○ Petra Berger (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Russel Watson (Adagio), ○ Katerina Maslova (Je t’aime, I guess I loved you) ○ Annointed (Love by Grace), ○ Sevara Nazarkhan (Je t’aime) ○ .... NB: Lara did cover Caruso , Je suis malade, and Love by grace, these are not her originals, but I mention these here as the related artists were attracted to cover it again after listening to Lara’s version. Today, Lara still has an amazing voice and tone and can still reach the 5th octave with resonance ; she still offers these emotive renditions that are her unique signature. In June 2022, she kicked off a WW tour and stunned her fans once again with 5 magical concerts in Canada. She completed the europe part in September/October 2022 and I attended a concert from this tour. It was packed and she was again spectacular. On April, May, June 2023 she had again some wonderful concerts in Tbilissi, Georgia, then in Ouzbekhistan, Kazakhstan, Romania. She is about to release a new album and just completed another popular tour in eastern europe (Czech Republic, Moldavia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkiye, Hungary) and in Canada in april-june 2024. She also appeared as a guest in some big events such as Hauser’s concert in Royal Albert Hall (May 9th 2024). Then, after some rest and a few TV Shows, she will tour France in 2025. The first song of her new album (titled "Ta Peine" - Your Sorrow) was released late January 2024 and is a success in France. Tomorrow her second song will be released and her album is expected to be released within the next weeks. She is also the most requested vocal coach in France and Quebec and will be for instance coach at the final of The Voice Kids France 2024 this saturday. Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.
Your comments are always so much accurate, and we all can enjoy the real value and technique 's skill of this amazing artist. She really has a baggage full of virtuosism and belcanto ❤
Intentaré traducir mis palabras más tarde, pero no quiero dejar pasar este instante para decirte que el concierto entero es una auténtica joya, digna de ser oído con mucha atención. Me encantaría que lo escucharas entero, pues tus análisis son también auténticas joyas
I'm not a coach of any kind..but..I do see a ... " Masterclass " in music theatre in sooo many of Lara's productions.." not a singer, not a musician, A magnificent talented Performer"...IMHO!! Thanks for sharing your talents and artistic skills today...I learn, everytime I partake in one of your classes/sessions!! 🎶🤙🐺🧙♂️🦊👍🎶
Your reaction is so insightful, thanks a lot. The whole concert is just a piece of art th-cam.com/video/NMHym4N4UXo/w-d-xo.html Even the transitions between songs are incredible pieces of acting or deep connections moments with her audience. Here the transition to Calling You was brilliant and the video just starts with the end of it. This song is one that best exposes Lara’s insane resonance : she is nicknamed The Ring for a reason after all. If you attend one of her concerts, you will be even more amazed. Also The way she keeps the same vocal tone while navigating throughout her whole register is kind of unique. Side note: tomorrow she will release her new single, 2nd song of an upcoming album, 2nd she co-wrote with Slimane, the french chart topper who was 4th at last Eurovision contest (and should have won). And both Lara and Slimane will be present this saturday as coaches in the final of The Voice Kids France.
Excellent comments, as always. 👍This beautiful song (like many others) is a masterclass by Lara. From my memory (not very reliable anyway 🤭 ) I don't recall any singer who can put all the fundamentals of singing into a single phrase at the same time, and she does it in an easy way, always relaxed. These are evidently skills that are part of her and that allow her to dedicate herself exclusively to interpretation. The entire concert "En toute intimité" is a musical pearl 😍. I would make it mandatory to watch in music schools (dear young aspiring singers, don't go to talent shows thinking that everything is easy without hard and constant study, having autotune won't be enough 🥱).
I’m just a Lara’s fan and have none musical education, but I must say that your analysis is so entertaining to me. I really love all your Lara reactions! Thank you so much for reacting to her and making me appreciate her artistry with so much more propriety. 🤎
Brilliant analysis Sir H! I love Lara's performance but adore your explanations of the vibratos, discords, tensions, even Laraisms, mic and breath control, it's just fascinating! Thank you for that and for the education - such a genuine, heartfelt reaction, so good, very much appreciated 👏 ❤⚡️⭐️
This was absolutely mesmerizing and I thank you very much for your amazing reaction/analysis! You and Lara had me nearly entranced by the end of this unique and beautiful performance, even though in the beginning of the video you cracked me up with your confession that you had goosebumps towards your ‘derrière’ (first time hearing the use of this French word in such context and I loved it!). You’re the best, Sir!
@@elizabethwhite1068Hello! :) Thank you for sharing the info on the use/pronunciation of the word derrière in the US as well! I love learning how some foreign words can be ‘adopted’ by different languages throughout history - it’s a fascinating subject! Kind regards from Brazil (here we also ‘accommodate’ the pronunciation of most imported words)😊
Tour is called " En toute intimité" which means "In all intimacy" so her nightgown goes with the theme. She changed into it halfway into the show. Imo, this is her best tour and it's Lara's favourite. You should react to her "Je suis mon coeur" song from the same concert. Whole show is pure masterpiece so any song is a great choice
Thank you very much for this reaction to Lara. En Toute Intimite is a wonderful concert. If memory serves I think Calling You is the only English-language song in the concert. I think Lara walks away from her audience so she can have a dramatic re-entrance! My most favourite song from this concert is Comme ils disent (As they say). Her voice and her acting skill together pierce my heart every time. Please consider giving this song a look. Thank you!
en écoutant une fois de plus je dis quelle technicienne quelle présence quelle sensibilité!! bluffant superbes instants de violon et encore une chanson qu elle s' approprie totalement

I appreciate how you commented on her stage performance as well as the singing itself. (Pro tip: Your partner probably would prefer the word "lingerie" to "nightie" ...)
Since it is about Lara, I would love to hear what you have to say about the song " I am A-Wa." it's also a very different song and melody. Giving you mixed feelings, supposed to be an introspective song, but sounds so dark... Your reactions are so insightful. Make us understand more clearly the music, the lyrics and the marriage of both. This particular song is such an enigma that only you can deconstruct
dear Sir Hairless, I tried to post a response to your pinned comment about Requiem pour un fou. But apparently it disappeared. So here it is as a separate comment. These are additional videos around this legendary perf and I hope it will add some background and make you appreciate it even more (Don't know if this is possible though). First, Lara and Johnny met and sang this song for the first time in February 1998 for the most important Music TV Show in France : Les Enfoirés. After this performance, that left Johnny stunned by Lara, he asked her to sing this duet again in his upcoming 3 gigantic shows in 80,000 stadium "Stade de France" (planned for Sep 1998). These 2 videos show the perf on the TV Show then the rehearsal of it th-cam.com/video/O09p9gTCfhE/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/6hSWTKOyhfQ/w-d-xo.html You know that the perf you reacted to, the best one, where they are more dramatic and connected together, with a pouring rain that add drama, was for the 3rd and final concert. The first 2 concerts, there were no rain and so the full stage setup was visible. It is impressive. You have to understand the context: this stadium, the biggest in France, had just been built to host the soccer world cup final in July 1998. After the world cup and before Johnny, only the Rolling Stones had performed in this stadium (1 single concert). Nobody had held such a big concert in France otherwise. And to organize 3 concerts in a row like this, and to pack the stadium, it was a first for a french artist. He did it again several times after it, and so did Mylene Farmer, another french legend. She just did it with 3 concerts last week. The stadium has just hosted the athletics competitions and the closing ceremony in the Paris 2024 olympics. Here are the videos of these other Requiem nights with the impressive choir and orchestra setup. th-cam.com/video/Gdq4kIpN6C4/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/5L2F-XfdsPc/w-d-xo.html The duet is legendary in France and many documentaries have been produced for the french tv channels, to explain how Johnny and Lara met, then to give some hints on the behind-the-scene preparation, musical decisions and challenges they faced with the pouring rain. Here are some of these (last 2 ones also include interviews with Lara). th-cam.com/video/SbAAO8cOhv0/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/Psrb7zFugjw/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/XuVDw6kN8ws/w-d-xo.html It's in french and I intend to spend some time adding English subtitles to these. The first one is the best IMHO and in the first part you can see and listen to an interview of Ivan Cassar. He is a french classic pianist and orchestra director. He erupted as a young prodigy, quickly became Vangelis' assistant. Then he was hired by Johnny Hallyday when he was only 31 yo and made arrangements of some of Johnny's most famous hits for the series of 3 concerts. It worked so well he became the music director of Johnny until the death of Johnny. And he also has been the music director of Mylene Farmer that I already mentioned for her own gigantic shows. In his interview, he explains he is the one who proposed Johnny to transform "Requiem pour un fou" into an opera rock masterpiece, that 150+ choir and grand orchestra would add much more dramatic effect, and he made the arrangements for it. Johnny really loved the idea and was excited by the result. Just a side note: the first video also starts with Ivan conducting another hit of Johnny: "Diego Libre dans sa Tête". FYI this other hit was composed by Michel Berger for Johnny. Michel Berger is a legend, as a singer/composer/songwriter, that died too young (44 yo), who also composed the most famous french musical ever, titled "Starmania". I am sure you know at least one song from this famous musical: "SOS d'un Terrien en Détresse". 😄 I hope you will love this additional info.
Great analysis of this extraordinary performance of a very unique song. Lara is the only singer I have ever heard who can seamlessly include so many variations and affects, that in any lesser hands would sound like an indecisive car wreck. I'm always so amazed by how many things you can pick out and explain to us when there's so much going on. You should listen to the duet of this she and Jevetta performed, just for your own enjoyment. th-cam.com/video/AfAzK85Si64/w-d-xo.htmlsi=KAPEvrimp_g2fL4I
Sir Hairless, thank you for all of your understanding and clarity- I always learn SO much with each video of yours❤ Lara Fabian and Diana Ankudinova are 2 of a handful of vocalist/performer/Muses that give me goosebumps and every emotion each time they sing. Your assessments add yet another layer of wonder and appreciation with every song. Thank you.
❤ beautiful ❤️ please react to Comme I'll dissent cover from the same concept 😂 Lara and Pierre Grimaldi 🎉🎉 it's a Charles Aznavour song❤ Love all your Lara Fabian reactions ❤
Oh yes! I love this song and I clearly am not the only one since it has been covered by a long list of amazing singers: Jeff Buckley, Celine Dion, George Michael, Barbra Streisand and many others. They are all great! The chords are haunting and mysterious, it creates such a mood. You have to be a good singer to hit that chorus’ first note. My favorite version is from Holly Cole and her jazz trio. Her pianist and counter bassist are soooo good. The piano solo and the last verses build up give me shivers every time. Thank you SH. I always love your R/A. 🤗
Will you please react to Lara Fabian & Mario Frangoulis cover of Cole Porters So in Love from Kiss Me Kate? I would love to see your thoughts. Mario also have an amazing voice and is classically trained and has a beautiful cover of Knights in White Satin in Italian! Also to hear Lara Fabian's lyrical soprano side you need to listen to La Traviata!

You’ve still missed her biggest and still probably to this day most famous song Je t’aime. Still being sung by even the youngest generations of the French and French Canadians. So many live performances to choose from but watch the one where the audience takes over the performance and she just lets them sing the song. Not a performance for you to review but just to get the understanding of the magnitude of the song. I think you would probably pick the performance from Lara with love again or Madam Zhivago for analysis. ☺️ N

Thank you, the first time I heard this song.
She's great... As usual. 😊
Lara's mic control is outstanding. Many times when she is belting she lowers the mic so as to not blow it out with her insane resonance.
I have returned to this reaction several times now just wonderful work you are doing Lara is such a gift to the world of music and you do her reactions justice.
❤️
Love your reactions!!! Please continue with journey called Lara
This entire concert is brilliant. She wanted a more intimate feeling. Comme ils disent and her Voire un ami pleurer from Brel is stupendous.
She is total master of her voice, breath and singing. Not to talk of exprecions. Just genious. Thanks for great analyse again.
Love this reaction. In this concert her mise en scène just before the song is integral.
Hello surely one of the most beautiful concerts I have seen, a Lara refined without artifice, an incredible stage presence and the voice that envelops us. In the same concert, Lara sings an excerpt from Verdi's La Traviata that I really advise you to listen to 😌👌
Thank you for bringing Lara again to your channel. I learn so much with your analyses... Love it! 🙌
I love Lara Fabian when she sings de Yentl Medley.
Lara is just outstanding. Her musicality blows me away, and her ability to evoke emotion brings me to tears in every song. Thanks for a great analysis, as always.
What a great reaction 🤩 thank you! Love your video about Lara so much!!
Brilliant once again. Thank you!👍👍👍
queen lara x
like Dimash Lara has so much emotion when she sings . Yes, yes SH definitely her performance is"chill worthy". 😮😮😲😥
❤R/A🎼🎶🎶🎶💧
Beautiful film !
More information on Lara Fabian:
Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Aretha, Shirley Bassey, Lisa Fischer, ....
So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence:
• she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. She has sung in 12 languages in total
• she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for 200+ songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. She often co-composes the music, and is at the source of the melodic line.
• she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none
• she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens.
A quick background on her and her career:
She is belgian, her father is flemish and grand mother on father side is dutch, but she also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia) and American roots ( the father of her mother is from Detroit).
Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban (they are friends and he told she is a role model for him), Linda Eder, …
With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there.
Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her.
She is Dimash's idol and probably his main inspiration in the way he sings and performs:
I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep.
He covered many of her songs, most of these were composed by Igor Krutoy and written by by Lara.
Out of my mind I can list:
○ Adagio (She wrote it and is the original performer),
○ Mademoiselle Hyde (she wrote it and is the original performer),
○ Love of Tired Swans (she wrote the song in French under the title "Je t'aime encore" and was the original performer of the french then the russian versions, Dimash covered the russian version)
○ Ascolta La Voce / Vocalize (this was a pure vocalization and she was the original performer, then lyrics were added for Dimash and it was rebranded as "Know")
She also wrote the lyrics of Dimash's song "Your Love".
Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs, some have Lara as a role model and big inspiration (singers from every region in the world: from China and Taiwan, to Philippines, Indonesia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Netherlands, Greece, Israel, Lebanon, Italy, France, Belgium, Norway, UK, USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Central Africa, …)

❤
great reaction as usual, Lara is enchanting
I think you would find her 2002 live performance of "Tango" very interesting. Her performance and sensuality are amazing.
Like always, factual, accurate and perfect reaction :)
I'm not a coach of any kind..but..I do see a ...
" Masterclass " in music theatre in sooo
many of Lara's productions.." not a singer,not a musician,
A magnificent talented
Performer"...IMHO!!
Thanks for sharing your talents and artistic skills today...I learn, everytime I partake in one of your classes/sessions!!
🎶🤙🐺🧙♂️🦊👍🎶
Thanks for introducing me to Lara Fabian. This was a stunning performance. Your analysis always adds to my enjoyment of the music.
Cheers!
Concert lara "En toute intimité" 👍👍👍👍
Again you bring me back to the absolute glory that is Lara Fabian. Thank you for such a wonderful reaction.
❤
Your reaction is so insightful, thanks a lot.
The whole concert is just a piece of art
th-cam.com/video/NMHym4N4UXo/w-d-xo.html
Even the transitions between songs are incredible pieces of acting or deep connections moments with her audience.
@ 11:44 Lara is wearing a night gown because the concert is called: “ in complete intimacy “
Derrière is used in the US in this same way, though I'm sorry to say it's rarely, if ever, pronounced correctly. More like dairy-air. 😊
@@elizabethwhite1068Hello! :) Thank you for sharing the info on the use/pronunciation of the word derrière in the US as well! I love learning how some foreign words can be ‘adopted’ by different languages throughout history - it’s a fascinating subject! Kind regards from Brazil (here we also ‘accommodate’ the pronunciation of most imported words)😊
d'une chanson elle en fait SA chanson et quelle maitrise
Tour is called " En toute intimité" which means "In all intimacy" so her nightgown goes with the theme. She changed into it halfway into the show. Imo, this is her best tour and it's Lara's favourite. You should react to her "Je suis mon coeur" song from the same concert. Whole show is pure masterpiece so any song is a great choice
Thanks for the info
Thank you very much for this reaction to Lara. En Toute Intimite is a wonderful concert. If memory serves I think Calling You is the only English-language song in the concert. I think Lara walks away from her audience so she can have a dramatic re-entrance! My most favourite song from this concert is Comme ils disent (As they say). Her voice and her acting skill together pierce my heart every time. Please consider giving this song a look. Thank you!
Thank you! That one is already on my list 👌
As always, so far at least, a wonderful reaction. Thank you for bringing more Lara to us ❤
The best singer ever!! amazing analysis, great job!
en écoutant une fois de plus je dis quelle technicienne quelle présence quelle sensibilité!! bluffant superbes instants de violon et encore une chanson qu elle s' approprie totalement
Lara's incredible! So beautiful. So sexy... in the best and the deepest meaning of this word. A voice to die for!
i didn't knew she sang this song of "Bagdad café" that i liked. very nice interpretation.
elle est complète belle et généreuse et..... méditerranéenne tellement....c est simplement bluffant merci à vous et merci encore pour vos traductions
Concert lara "En toute intimité "❤❤❤❤❤

A new album coming soon!
I appreciate how you commented on her stage performance as well as the singing itself. (Pro tip: Your partner probably would prefer the word "lingerie" to "nightie" ...)
Thanks Haha oh I just google-imaged both terms and nightie definitely looks more like what she's wearing
Lara ❤
Lara Fabian is one of the amazing gems you've introduced me to since I've started enjoying your r&a's. Thank you so much! ❤
dear Sir Hairless, I tried to post a response to your pinned comment about Requiem pour un fou.
These 2 videos show the perf on the TV Show then the rehearsal of it
th-cam.com/video/O09p9gTCfhE/w-d-xo.html
th-cam.com/video/6hSWTKOyhfQ/w-d-xo.html
You know that the perf you reacted to, the best one, where they are more dramatic and connected together, with a pouring rain that add drama, was for the 3rd and final concert.
Here are the videos of these other Requiem nights with the impressive choir and orchestra setup.
th-cam.com/video/Gdq4kIpN6C4/w-d-xo.html
th-cam.com/video/5L2F-XfdsPc/w-d-xo.html
The duet is legendary in France and many documentaries have been produced for the french tv channels, to explain how Johnny and Lara met, then to give some hints on the behind-the-scene preparation, musical decisions and challenges they faced with the pouring rain.
Here are some of these (last 2 ones also include interviews with Lara).
th-cam.com/video/SbAAO8cOhv0/w-d-xo.html
th-cam.com/video/Psrb7zFugjw/w-d-xo.html
th-cam.com/video/XuVDw6kN8ws/w-d-xo.html
It's in french and I intend to spend some time adding English subtitles to these.
I hope you will love this additional info.
The name of the pianist is Pierre Grimard.
First time hearing this song, thank you it is indeed very interesting.
Thnx for letting me in on another great song...
Dorota Osińska did an amazing cover of this song on The Voice of Poland
Watch the movie !!! Def a good one 🤩
Greatings from an old Danish Dear and Angel 🌷🇩🇰❤️
Lara❤
Will you please react to Lara Fabian & Mario Frangoulis cover of Cole Porters So in Love from Kiss Me Kate? I would love to see your thoughts. Mario also have an amazing voice and is classically trained and has a beautiful cover of Knights in White Satin in Italian! Also to hear Lara Fabian's lyrical soprano side you need to listen to La Traviata!
Thank you!👍🏼
I suggest her Yentl medley - an incredible live performance. Also Par Amour - the live with just the piano.
Barbra Streisand released this song in 2003 on her album "The Movie Album". Lara is a big fan of Barbra and vise versa.
❤❤
I love this song so much. Laras version is so amazing. Maybe you should also have a look at Celine Dions version which is also very beautiful🥰
There is NO better Patreon Analyst suited to analyze THE RING. This goes far beyond "REACTION". You're telling us a story about the storyteller. The awareness of this lost treasure is growing exponentially thanks to YT and skilled, symphonically educated content providers like Sir H. J'ai hâte de voir le légendaire "Llora" de Lara, l'Amérique aime aussi Lara Fabian!
Cheers Kevin 🙏🙏
From the same concert there is a magnificent version of ''i'm sick'' je suis malade'
You should watch it
I'll need to check it out! I've done a video on that song but from her From Lara With Love concert
tout autre choses en d autres temps ...mais Lara avec serge Lama chantant 1chanson de Serge...le charme d un vrai texte et d artistes en osmose....❤❤
I want to know singer gives you chills on your butt lol. Lara is amazing. Thanks
You really should watch the movie. I'm pretty sure you will enjoy it.
Need to add it to my list!
You should react to Dorota Osinska on the Voice of Poland cover this song. She is insanely good
Personally I prefer the "bigger" shows from her than this acoustic, intimate setting, but it's still so good
If you like her it has to be watched, it's almost like theater, she's so talented
Will you please do a reaction on the genius twist on Nessum Dorma(official video) by Ralf Schmitt and his Ndlovu Youth Choir from South Africa.. 62 k views in a few hours is prove of how amazing it is. They deserve an award for this masterpiece.
Thanks for the suggestion
Lady Gaga on Jimmy Kimmel live. Another song for Joker "Happy Mistake." Highly recommended.
Thanks for the recommendation
I loved Baghdad cafe. So quirky
Beautiful but I prefer Celine Dion's version - check the video "Live a Paris 1995"
A brand new single from Lara Fabian just released on 4 October and the first performance on French radio

She did a duet with Dimash!!
This has become an ear worm I can't shake...
Oh I've not missed it, just haven't done it yet 😉 I have many songs on my 'Lara list'
@@SirHairless excellent but you should do it while she’s currently judging The Voice Kids in France and all the kids are singing it. It’s relevant now. Might boost the views. You deserve them. 👍🏻
She’s hosting with Sliman who sang in this year’s Eurovision for France. Mon Amor. Another one you should probably react to. Especially the part he stands 6 metres away from the mic and his voice dominates a 100,000 person arena. It’s pretty amazing. 😜
@@NicholasPapas-z8e It is actually going to be in one of my upcoming Patreon polls within the next couple of weeks! Hopefully it wins
As for views, they go down every week for me 🥲Trending videos don't matter
@@SirHairless going down? That’s because more and more people are doing reaction videos everyday without any musical knowledge but pull manufactured stupid faces when they hear a crescendo. Let’s get those views up. Polling is great fun. Gets your hard core fans involved but unfortunately views matter. Breaking away is important, throwing some surprises in. You want to do this full time. You can. You have a certain way of reacting that puts you at the top of most algorithms when reactions are searched. You just have to have reacted to them. 🤣
I think it would be interesting for you to react to THIS version of "Je t'Aime" that she sang at an award show in 1998 :
th-cam.com/video/H6dfSzFoRAk/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LesVictoiresdelaMusique (I think she won the award that year with another song but I'm not sure)
Then compare it to the version she sang in the show you just watched in this video : th-cam.com/video/RhEV8KA0gxc/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=MUSICEVOLUTION
Back in the day she was much more into pure "performance" as in a sports one that in the emotion that we've seen us in later shows.
The Victoires de la Musique one version of the song is the one she performed at the time and made he famous along with her hit "Tout".

(Excuse my English, I'm French and English is not my 1st language, hope I make sense)
I appreciate you brother. But could you do a reaction video. Than do a seperate analysis video ? The way you do it, with all the talking and stopping. I forget what I'm watching LOL
Thanks 👍🏽 For a number of reasons, no I can't We can thank the strict copyright (amongst other things) for that That's also why I offer you a timestamp to skip ahead to to skip the analysis
I realy like Lara but not for that song !
the lady who sing bagdad cafe is a lot superior in my book
her voyce is more warm ,big and envelopping then Lara for that song !
You need to react to the same song live by Celine Dion
