I like your comments greatly because we can tell that you really know what you're talking about and you comment, not only about vocal technique, but about stage performance and emotions. Thanks for reacting to Lara! A fan since 2001! When she talks about "an angel" she looks up and she just looks down after that. When she sings "but I can hold you in my mind" she rises her tone to show her will to do so and then she lowers when she says "over and over like a melody" to show tenderness and romanticism. I don't know much about music but I think that this makes sense!😊
This is my first time watching this performance by Lara Fabian and... WOW... how can she be so gorgeous and talented like that?!? There couldn't be a better way to discover this beautiful performance than following your lovely reaction and masterful explanations on it. Thanks, Sir, you rock!
I am already a huge Lara fan so I will spare you any more fawning comments about her super talent. What I wanted to say is how much I appreciated your commentary. I watch a lot of reaction videos and I can say your insightful comments around the song construction and orchestration were unique and refreshing. I look forward to watching more of your reactions.
I think the "rock motion" is both a calculated rendering of an emotional escalation and a technic for a better vocal support (offloading the body weight to free the vocal chords)
Well said, Eric. You can't really tell a story standing or sitting still, especially not at this level, and she certainly can't limit the expression to just her facial muscles. Singing is full body exercise.
Thank you for your brilliant analyzes of Lara Fabian's performances. Because every song is a performance. If you want to see one of her most beautiful VISUAL performances, LOVE BY GRACE AT THE JUNO will satisfy you. And if you want to see THE ATTACHMENT of his fans, there is JE T'AIME LIVE IN PARIS. I wish you good listening and see you in the next reaction on Lara Fabien. Thank you from Montreal.
Lara has a talent for using all her heart to sing the songs . You’ve highlighted those other things us mesmerised folk haven’t spotted but have enjoyed 😊
The emotion that comes from her is what I love about her. Yes she’s an amazing singer but also a great storyteller. The orchestra is pretty amazing. ❤R/A! 🎼 I hope you are having a wonderful holiday!
I am a huge fan of Lara and I watch these reactions and no one has ever said anything about the piano in Adagio and I think that that little note that the piano does when she sings "And all that's left is the piano that plays" and the piano does this little trickle (beautiful).
You're right! I've never heard anyone mention it either. What a great detail to point out. It's a little piece of what gives this song it's deeper meaning. That it isn't just a love song, but a love song to the god of inspiration, begging "him" to never abandon or stop believing in her. That she'll always be at the "piano that plays", waiting. When you know she does everything with an intention towards telling the story, the details become fascinating.
What a great analysis of this song....and Lara. Not sure I have seen a commentator do both this well. Lara is my Queen so there is little that has not been said. Long may she reign.

Thanks, Sir Hairless, as always, during your analysis I hear a song as if I was listening with new ears. Lara has an enchanting voice and her musical interpretation of the lyrics is unique.
There is so much to be said about “all in” performers, Lara is beautiful, of course, but her commitment to the song makes her riveting. How marvellous it is to hear this huge orchestra back her up without drowning her. Lovely performance. 🤗

I recommend a Spanish singer, her name is Diana Navarro. She is a very versatile singer who sings different musical styles with a very particular voice and incredible melismas, she always transmits when she sings. The song is "El perdón" official video clip. Best regards
Not a song many people look at so appreciate the breakdown. I appreciate how you point out the instrumentation and how it relates to the artist in the moment of the performance. It makes me think that about how, yes, the singer is a large part of how good a song/performance is (which Lara is top notch), but the instrumentation, song itself and composition of it has a large impact on how we as listeners interpret the song and walk away with an opinion of how good it was. Yes, powerful singer indeed.
Caruso would be a good one, for many reasons. The song by Lucio Dalla, was written overnight in a hotel in Sorrento. Apparently, Dalla stayed at the same hotel and room as Caruso did. The song describes the final days of Caruso as he was dying of cancer, leaving behind his young wife and ten year old daughter. Lara, as expected does a wonderful and poignant performance. Caruso had to go to America to become famous, as apparently, italian and other Opera houses in Europe seldom if ever allowed him to perform.
When you hear Lara singing, you can SO clearly hear how she influenced Dimash!!! Seeing them sing together is magical - it’s called Ti Amo Cosi - with Aida Gurrifalina (spelling?)
Lara wrote the lyrics of this song when she fell in love with Walter Afanassiev, they both co-composed the music. Walter Afanassiev, an american/brazilian from russian descent, is a legendary composer and producer (he co-composed some of the greatest initial hits of Mariah Carey such as All I Want for Christmas is You and was the producer of the Titanic soundtrack that hugely increased Celine Dion’s WW fame). He is also now the producer of Dimash for his US career. Funny as Lara is the absolute idol of Dimash. Later he apparently cheated, Lara broke and wrote the lyrics of another masterpiece they had co-composed: Broken Vow. Broken Vow has been covered by al the greatests: from Barbra Streisand, Josh Groban (again Lara is a role model for him) to Cakra Khan, Morissette Amon, Gigi de Lana, Katrina Velarde, Almira from 4th impact, … Lara is an international legend who has been prevented to succeed in the US but has been very successful in europe, Russia, central Asia and Brazil. Many consider her on the same tier vocally as the vocal trinity but even better in terms of performing and emotions conveying. This is my case. And she adds on this package songwriting and languages mastery …
@@ildefonsobenitez6624 Lara said in an interview that she refused a contract in the United States because she was required to change her repertoire to a more youthful one with elements of hip-hop. You can watch this interview on TH-cam.

Please react to the final song in this concert “Broken Vow” a beautiful song composed by and lyrics written by Lara. It’s an incredible song which many amazing singers have choosen to sing in the big TV Talent shows. One of my most favourite performances from Lara!
I loved your reaction and analysis, as usual. I can't vait your reaction to her Caruso. And maybe some of her duets with Johnny Hallyday, Michael Bolton, Josh Groban etc....
I literally squealed with joy when this notification appeared lol. An incredible song and extraordinary performance. Every time, without fail, when she hits "fly" I feel my soul damn near leave my body for the ether. I LOVE your reactions to Lara and the way you break things down. One of the things that just blew my mind in the beginning of my discovery of her, was that I had never heard anyone incorporate so many tricks and affects, let alone with such seamless ability. You will never hear her do anything just because she can, and that includes the crazy runs that so many do for entertainment and ego. Every single choice she makes has a purpose and a place. In lesser hands it would sound like an overwhelming mess of indecision. But she turns all of it into an orchestra of sounds, all working together for the sake of the only thing that matters, serving the story of the song. My guitar teacher taught me to make every note and choice count, and I took it very much to heart. It was some of the best advice I ever got. So I have a deep appreciation for Lara's musical intentions and choices. I don't think I will ever get over my frustration at not learning of her in '99 when she came to the US. This wasn't my genre, but her skills would have very much influenced me to be a better songwriter and singer. Up next: Caruso or Perdere L'amour in Italian. 😊

🇨🇦 You focused a comment on the words 'those eyes of yours' and I would suggest to you that Lara got your attention ! Her rocking motion is always there, like she can never be still ! In three reactions from you, this one has had the most smiles from you, so far ! And the look of real astonishment on your face on that final note, told us a lot ! My suggestion is to now react to her duet with Johnny Hallyday called "Requiem pour un fou" ! 🇨🇦
I don't know if anyone else has thought about this but I imagine Christina singing this amazing song in Phantom of the opera. Thanks again for your fantastic reaction
Great reaction. It is interesting to rewatch and notice the nuances from the perspective of your analysis. Adding to some comments I read here, please react to Broken Vow. Great song, great performance.
Yet another masterful and insightful analysis from Sir Hairless - I appreciate Lara Fabian's performance here all the more thanks to your excellent reaction Sir Hairless!
I was really astonished when Lara sang into the audience instead of her microphone in another concert - strong as an opera singer - and the sound came clear through the room mic. I think it was a newer one with je suis malade - the more I see from her … Maybe it is her determination and a kind of artistic rage that pushes her to the edge and what her fans appreciate.
Today my comment goes to you, Sir Hairless. The way and knowledge with which you give us your reactions can only be reciprocated with deep Gratitude to you and the Universe. Technique, extreme sensitivity, analysis and high vibrational frequency are Master attributes and you are one of Them I belive, because you reach Multidimensions. I believe the World is changing.

I really HOPE you have watched the intevview before her pwrfor because she talks about how she made her father get to know about her vocal hability, plus, she did a great G5 in operatic style just effortless. ❤
Funny coincidence that after Diva dance you went to Lara as well. Never heard this song before. Somehow drew in my mind Igor Krutoy's composition "when I close my eyes" with it's melting piano. Also you got there before me, but I actually thought of her adagio movement as well, although in my case it was the sound of guitar what reminded of that, it just asks for it))
yes, I felt the same dichotomy about the angel. "Over me going" down as opposed to up... It seems to me that this underscores the painful separation? Separation... Abandonment..
As usual, a beautiful and informative reaction. Please react to another great song from this same concert: “Caruso” (in Italian) - it's absolutely phenomenal! Another absolute Master Class from the fabulous Lara. The stamina required to put so much into each and every song, in the one concert is awesome. Her finesse and micro-intentionality to every note and every breath between, and every gesture, as she transitions and transports us throughout the story is awesome. Yes, I think that 'rocking' is idiosyncratic. Not 'strange'! Very natural. She's flowing with the rhythm and maybe part of how she positions herself physically - gathers energy - as she builds towards her belting sections. There are parts where it becomes very obvious that Dimash has studied her very closely indeed! Which he freely admits, crediting Lars as a great role model. Given that many comment on her expertise at Word Painting, it's interesting where you point out how she deliberately does the opposite in some parts. It can only be intentonal.
From my experience in singing, moving without direction besides serving as a way of expressing yourself, you can quickly replace short pauses. It's like stopping to take a quick breath. But of course, involving breathing, few can do this. It's imperceptible when you swing and it feels like you've automatically reset. 😂😂
Great review. Would love to see you react to Curuso and Love By Grace and especially Yentl Medley live from the Molson Center in Montreal which is stunning.

Love your reaction!
Love all of your reactions and analyses!!! Another great one is Broken Vow by Lara too ❤
You are one of the best reactor out there ! Eric Sicard will guide you through your queen Lara experience ! And Ill watch !!
Isn’t Lara marvelous?! Just wonderful. That last note!!
Another BRILLIANT reaction and analysis, Sr. H. I always get so excited and click immediately when I see a new video from you - and I'm *_never_* disappointed. Thank you!
Listening/watching people react to my favorite artists makes me super excited to see the artists live. April 30th for Lara and May 4th for Dimash. Will be a week to remember. Thank you so much for your wonderful reaction.
Have a great time in Budapest! 🎶
Hello,
You should watch Ti Amo Cosi. Dimash, Aida Garifullina and Lara Fabian. You will love it. Thank you. I love Dimash and also Lara Fabian!👍💐🌹❤️🥰🇨🇦
I'll be at her Montreal June 10 show. I'm so excited ;)
Great reaction! Lara the best! Broken Vow next please
Interesting, insightful, and informative reaction! Lara is like watching a Master Class in singing, performance, emoting, and connecting; all tied up in outstanding skill and control.
I like your reactions on Lara 😌love from Belgium 🖤💛❤️ please react to ‘Broken Vow’
I would love to see you react to her Je t'aime - Live in Paris, 2001 performance. It is one of the most emotional performances I have ever witnessed, by anyone. She has AMAZING fans!!
If you haven’t already seen it, look for the video version for “Autumn in New York.” It will break your heart.
Yo conoci a Lara por Dimash, por su admiración hacia ella y ahora veo porque ❤ canta muy bonito. Gracias por reaccionar y explicar tan bien. Me encantan tus reacciones ❤❤❤
Sir Hairless, I feel lucky to have found you here a week ago. You're a rare gem among TH-cam reactors. I enjoy watching you & listening to your analysis. You keenly observe everything about the MV such as the singer's voice quality, tone, rendition, stage presence, breathing, enunciation, story-telling, dynamics, musical accompaniment, etc. I can tell you're well educated & you not only love what you're doing but you keep on top of your game. There are thousands of TH-cam reactors who are here just to get views to monetize on them but you're an extraordinary reactor. Bravo!!!
May I request your reaction on "Broken Vow" Lara's own composition based on her personal experience. Thank you.
Thanks so much
By the way, the subtitles, in Spanish, work perfectly, the translation is very correct.
Just watching your face as you listen to this beautiful performance is revealing. I listen to your detailed analysis afterwards, but words are superfluous - you (and we) love Lara’s powerful voice.
🌇🌇 ..... Hello Sir ... I am very glad that you approached the lyrics of this song before you witnessed the performance. They are powerful on their own. Then the performance......... hmmm , ... here is what I have to say about the emotions on your face..... " ... 🎶 .. la luce che hai incontrato per strada.. 🎶 ..." ......... 💡
She’s really amazing singer! What a voice and emotion! ❤
Sir Hairless analysis wonderful as always. Send us to the deepest sense of the song’s instrumentation! 💙
This is by far the best analysis of a Lara Fabian song!
Ultimately not so surprising from a classical musician !
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed
Tremendo análisis Sir, en ese concierto hay mas joyas, Lara es fenomenal.
Thanks you for your perfect explains so Lara Fabian sometimes she like a rock star for the singer it's a big energy when she move in live you know 😉 hello from France.
I really HOPE you have watched the intevview before her pwrfor because she talks about how she made her father get to know about her vocal hability, plus, she did a great G5 in operatic style just effortless. ❤
Yes I did! I just didn’t include it in this video
@@SirHairless Thank you 🤩
She has just recently released new music! As usual just beautiful.
Funny coincidence that after Diva dance you went to Lara as well. Never heard this song before. Somehow drew in my mind Igor Krutoy's composition "when I close my eyes" with it's melting piano. Also you got there before me, but I actually thought of her adagio movement as well, although in my case it was the sound of guitar what reminded of that, it just asks for it))
After many years watching Lara , I’m finally going to see her in Budapest on 30th April ❤
Have an amazing time!
@@SirHairless thank you 😊 I will , and I will be seeing Dimash 4 days later !
yes, I felt the same dichotomy about the angel. "Over me going" down as opposed to up... It seems to me that this underscores the painful separation? Separation... Abandonment..
As usual, a beautiful and informative reaction. Please react to another great song from this same concert: “Caruso” (in Italian) - it's absolutely phenomenal!
Here's the link with a high quality video (restored from DVD to HD) that has both Italian and English subtitles:

When you have time, thank you in advance!
Caruso!
React to Lara and Dmitry Hvorostovski " Toi et moi" ( composed by Igor Krutoy). I must say: you realy know your music. Your musical analysis are something else... Regards from Romania!❤
Great, Great, Great reaction !
From my experience in singing, moving without direction besides serving as a way of expressing yourself, you can quickly replace short pauses. It's like stopping to take a quick breath. But of course, involving breathing, few can do this. It's imperceptible when you swing and it feels like you've automatically reset. 😂😂
Excelente reaction Lara Fabian es una gran intérprete y con una hermosa voz, porfavor reacciona a Caruso
the first time i heard this song, i saw the image of Lois Lane in the arms of superman... 😲
I would like you recting lara singing caruso
Great review. Would love to see you react to Curuso and Love By Grace and especially Yentl Medley live from the Molson Center in Montreal which is stunning.
