  • Vetiver grass makes a beautiful chop and drop plant and is a sustainable source for carbon to add to your soil as mulch or to your compost pile.

Propagate some of it, and uproot it. The roots are full of sweet, earthy fragrance. South Asian countries use this fragrance a lot ! It's called "khus" over there

it's a great plant. glad that you're growing it. the vettiver root can detox metal from our body.
simply put the root in the drinking water container after cleaning it and drink the water. can add the water as the water level low.
can keep the root in the container up-to a week.
    best is earthen vessel.

Vetiver is a good choice for those in frost parts of Florida. The grass can take a freeze and stays green all year.

You're welcome! I think grasses are underrated and should be a part of every sustainable landscape.

@@KaloBtzzk Vetiver can survive -10C, so grow it, maybe when the real cold comes mulch it heavily. It will come back fast in the spring.

Where did you get your vetiver grass?

I propagated it from a friend. Its very easy to propagate or you can look for one from an online plant nursery.
