Hi sir , what difference between a trap and a reservoir ?

A trap consists of three main components:
Reservoir rock
Deformation (ex: anticline)
Seal rock (mostly called cap rock)
Hence, the reservoir is the portion of the trap that contains the hydrocarbons in place.

How can I locate new wells?
