You should definitely continue into releases, especially while you still have this much enthusiasm for Minecraft, it will continue to bring in new viewership like me for example, I came to your channel because these videos are unique and informative. Also for many of us Minecraft players, nostalgic, as these releases (alpha and beta) are the ones I used to play as a kid and love revisiting them again.

The motivation and ideas just come as you go. As someone who mainly plays Minecraft Beta 1.2 for simple Survival, I must say that once your big projects like your giant wood houses with the occasional cobblestone accents start coming along nicely, you just really want to continue building it because of how rewarding it feels and how it just overall spices up the overall world by it just standing there. The challenge of having to make your stuff look good by actually thinking about which details are where is also a lot of fun, the game makes you think a lot more about what you're actually doing in those early versions.

Yep, I discovered Minecraft in this version, and it's crazy how it's "close" (in some way) to the modern Minecraft that we know today. This update really built what Minecraft is today !

Man this video gives me immense nostalgia. I started playing the game during the Beta days and it's crazy to me that I still remember exactly what was added in each version. I consistently played Minecraft from 2011-2021, but I haven't found myself playing the game even a single time in 2022 which is the first time in over a decade that I've taken this long of a break. No, It's too much work, he doesn't like at all mining for stone for small parts of his bridge, If he had to search for iron, Wood and redstone to build a railroad in an bridge that's this big he would go insane... Maybe when farms would exist, but there's still a long way to go

I started playing back in release 1.3 and man was that update fun, talking about all the updates and getting info on them is very informative and entertaining to watch. The Xbox 360 Edition was my very first exposure to Minecraft, I'm glad they started with the beta versions of the game, I really liked the old balance before they added hunger and stacked food. I remember when 1.8 came out, it felt like I was suddenly playing a different game. It was very exciting but there was this feeling like we just crossed a line and never going back
I started playing minecraft in Beta, I don't fully know when I started. But it was very least Pre Pistons and such. And I just spent so much enjoying the game, seeing this one and the Alpha video really stirred up joys of the past. Thanks.

Detail: Beta 1.8 is a big version because it was the last one before the Oficial Minecraft Release in 2012, so they took all efforts to fix giant errors like the Far Lands, and to add critical necessary things like a new lightning system and sprint as walking on beta was slow, the hunger system is to make it fair. (1.8.1 is a little last fix, not a new beta, as it only changed the build number) Another point: There was never a far lands FULL removal, they only moved the far lands from the 32 BIT limit, to the new 64 BIT limit (some quintrillions away), and mojang is fixing the long distance effects to this day, like the old weird movement you had when passing by 400k blocks, today this don't happen, you can check how they are planning to move the 1.8 release Border from 30M to at least 2 Billion by the update logs of versions like 1.16.5.
Why do they move unreachable border even further? also it is not completely impossible to reach 2 billion blocks in modern versions cuz u got elytras and insane launchers
I think it's crazy that I watched through the whole alpha video and beta video trying to remember when exactly I started playing Minecraft myself, only to get the very end and realize that it was beta 1.8 when I started playing. There were a lot instances that made me think "Oh it was this version!", but kept being reminded that I knew for a fact that food could stack. Although I suppose that it should have been pretty easy to figure out because I never had a PC forever, and so I first played Minecraft on the Xbox 360.

I still make myself feel that when I start up an new world or go back to an old one. It's my favorite game of all time. I must have about 20,000 hours in the game since 2010. You could play b1.7.3 with betatweaks(mod that optionally brings older features such as minecart boost, wool punch etc.) with texture pack for old cbbl and bricks. I also reccomend glsl shaders. For legacy mods check out mango pack
@@rtm6679 A lot of the sounds are different, and skins don't work. I personally use the betacraft launcher, it's designed specifically to work well with old versions of the game and it works great.

The squid milking feature existed because Mojang initially used the cow model to make the squid and forgot to remove the milking feature

I started on Alpha 1.2 in Minecraft. And boy, was it fun and more simplistic back then.
I really enjoy old versions of Minecraft because of the nostalgia so I'm glad I'm not the only playing old versions of MInecraft.

Hey man, you could try the Mango Pack or Better Than Adventure mods for your next video. They’re like mod packs for old Minecraft versions. Keeping the nostalgia touch while adding a few things.

@@jasonthesmarty I still remember that feeling when I first played MineCraft. My first cousin show me it in September of 2010. When I was 13 years old. I still make myself feel that when I start up an new world or go back to an old one. It's my favorite game of all time. I must have about 20,000 hours in the game since 2010. The first TH-camr I watch on MineCraft was Ethoslab specially his Let's Play. I think he is my favorite TH-camr ever but, since I started watch your two 100 days videos today you bring back those great memoirs of the old MineCraft. Thank you man for that. It was the started of the Golden Age of MineCraft.

I like watching these kinds of videos while playing on my own survival server, and hearing the minecraft music from my own game and your video as well threw me off a little hehe

I know alot of people like betas 1.7.3 cause it's just before the adventure update.
What would be the best version to really feel nostalgic and maybe little of the alpha scary + holding the awesome terrain generation?
You could play b1.7.3 with betatweaks(mod that optionally brings older features such as minecart boost, wool punch etc.) with texture pack for old cbbl and bricks. I also reccomend glsl shaders. For legacy mods check out mango pack
@@wypas17you could just play beta 1.7.3 from the launcher instead. It would be a lot easier.

@@rtm6679 A lot of the sounds are different, and skins don't work. I personally use the betacraft launcher, it's designed specifically to work well with old versions of the game and it works great.
