The Mito was & still is the 1st car for my daughter. Her boyfriend has an A3 & now prefers the Mito for its lightness & handling. I’m a good dad I think getting my daughter straight into an Alfa ❤
Next street to me an old gent late 70s early 80s had an 08 Mazda 3MPS sold it & bought a brand new Cupra Ateca with almost 300bhp. He said this wipes the floor with my Mazda 3MPS. The Cupra dealer wouldn't offer him what he wanted for it. The Mazda he bought brand new & when he sold it last year it only had 14,000 miles he had people from as far as Australia wanting to buy it. In the end we live in the leeds area someone from Scarborough bought it. His wife has a 17 plate MX5 lol.shes also in her late 70s.
Since the two Italians are basically the same car, I'd suggest replacing one of them with the 2004-2006 smart forfour Brabus. 1.5ltr turbo engine making 177bhp in 1,094kg gave a 0-60mph time of 6.6seconds, 6.9 to 100kph, quicker than all those in the video bar the Mazda. And it's also rare, fewer than three hundred were sold in the UK, while prices today start from around two thousand quid. I absolutely adore mine.
Not sure if it's counts as it's a diesel but the Alfa Romeo 147 Ducati Corse is a fantastic drive! 1.9 JDTM turbo engine with 170bhp. Torque is insane too. Only 200 made for the UK I believe
a hot mazda hatch doesn't exist anymore for us in the UK but america has 2.5 turbo in gen 4 mazda 3, I don't know any details about them though, I'm a UK watcher
The Mazda is dead. Best car here and My personal fav of many. But it's dead. They're all rusted underneath. The red one in the video shown on AT. Rust bucket. Go look at its MOT history. It's such a shame.
I've managed relatively rare...I don't think most people would say it's "cool" especially with the decat though 🤣 I get genuinely excited when I see the top 4 on this list at least, the Ignis after a 2nd (or 3rd) look to confirm it's not modified, looks a bit aftermarket. I always thought it's a shame that manufacturers didn't do slightly tuned versions of kei cars for other markets. I'm sure many of them could handle a tune to 100hp+ and they'd surely be insanely fun with that. Edit: Forgot to answer the question...yes, very much so, sadly. Ford and Peugeot have given up on hot hatches entirely, Most others, like Honda and VW, are only interested in "but it's faster bruh" which is great, but if I'm going to die young, I'd rather it wasn't of boredom 🤔
@@shabba890 Suzuki claimed 107, buts its actually 115 (didnt hear 120 tbh) on dyno. Ignis is not only faster in straight line, but also drives better in corners - it has 200 kg less than the Yaris! @kapucakapuca all Ignis were very thin and coarse. The 5 door 1.3s were the same. Would love to see a proper head to head stock vs the yaris. Probably nothing in it at all.
This is a 5k budget video and some of yall are complaining that he did not include a type r, a swift sport etc. like do any of you actually know how much these cars cost? like a swift sport, even the first gen, is at least 8-10k and lets not talk about type r 💀

Great video! Been waiting for something like this for ages

They Ignis Sports usually make 120hp on the dyno’s if they’ve been taken care of properly. They are sharper than the T-Sport in all aspects.
They gained 15bhp over time? Nonsense. Yaris all day. These Ignis were rough as hell to drive. Cheap and nasty
