@mathisp5143 it wouldn't let me post photos in comments but what I did is I soaked them morning and night for 20 to 30 minutes in water, applecider vinegar and Epsom salt and I wrapped it in cotton soaked with AC vinegar during the night and any other time I could. I wore open toes shoes as much as possible and bought tea tree oil nail polish for when I went out (at home I tried to not wear polish) if I had to wear closed toe shoes I dusted the insides with anti fungal powder and wore good breathing socks like merino wool or cotton. The fungal nail grew out. The healthy nail re-attached and I now have healthy toe nails.

I hit my big toe it had turn black and blue /discolored so after that the toe nail came off ...it grew back ..but it's still bruised is there anything I can do to bring back the original color of toe nail underneath
After your nail has been damaged by fungus, is there a treatment to restore your nail from minor cracking and the color? Also one of my nails is thicker and a little brittle.

I have suffered with fungus on my big toe for many years ( yellowy, thick, white powder like substance under the nail ) and tried most remedies except Rx oral meds ( too hard on the liver ) ....I have recently found a treatment that has worked for me .... I clipped off as much of the damaged part of the nail as possible and I apply OTC Lamisil cream daily ( being sure to get it under and around the nail as much as possible ) ...... I do this every morning, after first cleaning it with hydrogen peroxide...it's now been 3 months and my nail is still short , but the bed of my nail is growing in normal and clear again....I have not yet stopped this daily treatment.....any advise on when I can discontinue this regiment?...thank you

I’ve had fingernail fungus on my thumb for ~2 yrs now. I’ve been on Lamasil for 6 mo, and just started 30 min listerine soaks for ~ 6 mo or so now and have just started to get the pink of the nail bed back slowly on the bottom of my thumb😱😍Yay

My two big toenails have orange on the sides and it has been like that for three months now. I told my doctor and he seemed annoyed that I was even bringing it up. But then I said, what should I do? And then he told me to use Vicks vapor rub every day for two months, and he said I should file down the nail. I don’t even know why he said that. He didn’t even elaborate. My nail seems normal. But now that I think of it, whenever I try to clip my nails, I guess it is a little harder than my fingernails. So I guess they are thickening up a little bit. He didn’t Explain whatsoever. But I hope it works! Should I expect my toenail to fall off? I saw a video on here where somebody’s nail was falling off. Maybe that’s only if you have a bad case? And people say it takes a year for your toenail to grow out. Well, my doctor visit was two weeks ago. I trimmed my nails the day after the doctor visit. They were long. And already yesterday I had to trim them again because they already got long enough to do so. And I mean they were overdue! So, hopefully this nail grows quickly. I get excited because I was like yay maybe I get to cut off all of the orange part. But now it looks like the rest of it has some orange as well, even though I thought it was only on the tip. But now it seems like the sides of my toenails are getting dark. But when I lift up the nail with my finger, I don’t see any darkness. So, I’m wondering if the skin is getting dark, or maybe there is just gunk on the sides of the toes because I started using a toothbrush and putting the bristles underneath my toenail. Well, I think maybe by doing so, I was actually pushing gunk down into my toe. And when I say gunk, it’s not really that extreme. I’m sure most people have worth looking toe is but I try to keep up with my health. Like even From head height, you haven’t even been able to tell that my toes have orange on them. So they aren’t awful. But now I’m trying to raise awareness for my family and telling them to look at their toenails! Hoping Vicks does the trick. I also have bathroom cleaner, bleach gel. And I’m trying to do that like once a week or every two weeks just leave it on the toe for a couple minutes. Seeing if that helps because I heard people say dipped in bleach beer not sure if that’s really as good but that’s what I have.
My feet were smelling really bad. I haven't noticed it for a few days. Is there anything that helps. I do have fungus on both big toes.

Thank really great tips . Maybe for the more severe conditions it would be good to limit surgar and carbs from the diet along with the treatments for mote effective results. As much as possible. Also, for the mild conditions. I am taking also liver health supplements on an empty stomach.

I’ve been cutting my toenails back and after I shower using a blow dryer since fungus doesn’t like high heat to dry the nails, I will be getting a toothbrush to scrub the nails while I shower , perfect size brush for the job.
File the top of the mail to scratch up the surface and apply clear iodine.

Thank you for this video, I got toenail fungus from nail salon last year....I didn't think to check TH-cam for suggestions. I started using hydrogen peroxide which helped but I will also use the Listerine and ACV together. I am not sure how much to use when you say 1 part to 2 parts is the part equal to cups?
A “part” is whatever unit of measure you are using. If it’s cups, it would be 2 cups of one thing and one cup of another. If you’re using quarts, it would be 2 quarts of one thing and one quart of the other. Same with teaspoons: 2 teaspoons of one thing and 1 teaspoon of the other.

I'm using rx cream which doesn't seem to be doing anything. So I'm incorporating other things.
I heard another video say, if your feet sweat, to use antiperspirant on feet. Also disinfect shoes, if you can't replace all.
I use vinegar and baking soda daily and when I shower and spray bleach and then scrub them w a brush and I can see it look brighter and before bed time I apply over the counter medicine. But I can’t wear pretty Sandel anymore until is all cleared.

Dilute clorox in a droper and apply at night or after shower. It takes a few months but it works.

No I think it works best when in straight contact on the nails

If you stop using it for a while keep a diary write it down when you stop using it. Most doctors do not have a clue on toe nail fungi. Or what are the causes of toe nails coloring.

Use Vaginal yeast cream. Seriously my husband had it bad on his feet. Our doctors PA told me to buy him ladies vaginal yeast cream you need to buy 2 percent or higher. I got 4 percent and killed it in one week. Then got a tube of 2 percent for maintenance when it is hot and he would ride his bike where his feet would sweat. It's the same type of fungus that's why it works. You can find over the counter at any drug store and Walmart. If you can not find the 4 percent get the 2 percent it will just take longer. Rub on clean dry feet morning and night. Make sure to bleach wash your socks. If dark socks iron them the high heat will kill fungus in socks. Clean shoes too. Start from scratch .
@@theflyfootdoctor Hello I have a friend who has a ulcer fungus on one foot between two toes. I haven't seen it but he said it looks like a crater and it's been diagnosed as a fungus. I think they gave him antibiotic but it's still there. Is there a cure?

That means the nail cells are dead and that prevents the nail plate, the hard part from attaching to the nail bed
Mine reattached as I treated. As it grew out it reattached.

Do you think it’s true that you really shouldn’t worry about this spreading to other parts of your body? Somebody on here said that you need to dry off your feet with a separate towel. From the way, I am understanding this, we have fungus and bacteria over all of us all the time, but the immune system fights it off. The reason why it persists on our toes is because the toes are so far away from the bloodstream, and they have socks and shoes on them so they stay moist. Also, I’m thinking it’s just because we don’t wash our feet all day every day like we do with our hands. Also, who knows. Maybe we transfer fungus from our hands to our mouth when we eat and then our stomach as a destroys it. I don’t know.
The point is. If I was going to get fungus on my face from my towel, I’m pretty sure that would’ve already happened wouldn’t it? And the fact that I’m working on getting rid of my toenail fungus, I feel like my towel would only get safer and safer. Like after I wash my feet, I wash my hands with my shower gel. I think that’s fine. I’m starting to get paranoid and whenever I walk barefoot after a shower, I’m trying to walk on my heels and keep my toes up a little bit but I really think I don’t need to worry about that right?

I am wearing a different pair of socks every day now though. Honestly, I was wearing the same pair for like three or four days in a row lol. I mean even after work yesterday I felt ridiculous, taking off my socks and putting them in the dirty hamper. I mean they are perfectly fine socks. In my eyes. but I guess they can start to harbor fungus. Especially while my feet are infected.
A toenail fungus only strives on the toes because of keratin, since it what toenails are made of. However you should try to use aseptic techniques when cleaning parts of the body since microbes can always mutate to develop properties to thrive on a different part of the body.
