Why do you need XL candy to play Master League? I do just fine, no legendary hundos, all level 50s participated in MLP last week. I go 3-2 most sets, never feel overwhelmed. I'm not particularly good, either. 2100 ELO in almost 2 seasons of serious GBL play.
@libradawg9 no, its not necessary to have maxed out legendary XLs to play master league, but it definitely helps. Especially if you want to get higher up. What team are you running?
@apexarms5737 Leading Gyarados 100, swap is Rhyperior 97 and I also run Ho-Oh 97. Obviously Palkia-Kyogre is a top-left Ho-Oh is level 45 and since last week when I finished Rhyperior the other two maxed out.
@apexarms5737 That's the really terrible thing about XLs, you can have hundreds without even trying on spawned Pokémon but need raids or rares for everything else. They make sure you can't walk them off like the half km and 1.5km with Gyarados and Rhyperior with poffins. I wonder how much Niantic is going to make off of RRPs from Into the Wild raids by people wanting strictly candies.
@6:12 Ra Ra Rasputin? :D Fingers crossed for a few rare candy XL from dynamax drilbur, and hopefully get a few more PvP candidate pokemon in case they become more useful next season. The wild spawns are mostly pretty meh sure, but I'm eager to do a few more palkia and dialga raids. Didn't get any roar of time dialgas last time(only one spacial rend palkia with poor IVs). The adventure effects are more relevant to me since I'm not going to be able to power these up for master league play anytime soon even if I get a hundo.
Amazing content ser! You are right, moves might change, but overall stat products won't, right? So we could look at that to kinda know what pokemon could be good if they got a move change and those who are unlikely to become meta if they have a very bad stat product?
@@tylerf6583 The reason they don't need nerfs is because they are already "worse" than Hydro Cannon since they need more energy. While Hydro Cannon is the worst in terms of damage per energy, it only costs 40 energy which allows Feraligatr for example to get to one in only 10 turns, or Greninja in 9. Frenzy Plant is 45 energy which mean Venusaur, Chesnaught, and Serperior take 12 turns. Not a lot, but enough to notice it. Then Blast Burn is even slower, taking 50 energy, making the fastest to get to one 15 turns for Typhlosion or Charizard (although Typhlosion does get to the second one after only 10 more turns, but by then it's already behind. It also has Shadow Claw that lets it get there in 14 for the first and 12 for the next three, which is still noticeably slower). So a good nerf to Hydro Cannon imo would be to do something like 5 more energy but also 10-15 more damage to make it slightly worse than Frenzy Plant but still very good, just slower than it is now to make it more similar to the other moves.
"Enhance your experience with paid... NOPE" 🤣
The sequence of “I’m not a shiny hunter so I don’t care” into “paid tickets will - nope!” As he moves on.
This is why you’re my guy.
the canadian came out so heavy with the "out and about" Love the video Dan!
Just had a hilarious thought. Maybe someday Niantic wont be so stingy with XL candy. Then more people will play master league. Good one right?! 🤣

@@libradawg9 Thats fair. But you still need XL candy if your there maxed out right?

I think this event is not bad.
Many good B tier mons. Perfekt for beginners

12:15 I like cussing Dan lol
Icl these spawns are better than the actual wild area spawns lol (besides mighty pokemon)
I wonder if it’s finally Hydro Cannon nerf time.
I doubt they would change HC without changing FP and BB too since they're all the same idea of moves, but FP and BB don't need nerfs so
