I have to change the battery nearly twice a year, but it gets extremely hard, daily use. Nice review, I like your take on it!

Good to know how long it would last with heavy use... Still way better than any current smartwatch. That will no doubt change, but not in the nerar future.

@@geeksgooutdoors I don't know if smartwatch is the right way to think of it, compared to any other, it has far fewer overall functionality, but for the rigors of outdoors use for extended periods it has more to offer.

@@SpaceDave3000 Correct, no installable apps means it isn't a smartwatch in the true sense. However if you were to use your smartwatch outdoors, you would add the compass and barometer apps. The only thing it is "missing" is GPS tracking, but that would kill the battery life. If you know how to use your compass and map you don't need GPS anyway ;-)

Little point in doing a watch review with the camera pointed at your face. A tech review should be showing the tech. Fail.

Cool features but the negative display absolutely sucks!!! Very difficult to see in low light!! I don’t care how cool it looks. If you can’t see it, it’s useless!!

People seem to have very polarised view of the display. Personally never had a problem with it! Using the backlight obviously helps in some light situations...

Use it in the field, you will have a completely different opinion. This is not a 9-5 office watch. Extremely useful if you go dark and have to use NVG protocol. Only downside is battery life. Get a Casio Protrek or G Shock if you’re a jeans and casual shirt guy/gal.
