  • A look back at the film and digital cameras I've used - and how they shaped my photography - over almost a lifetime. From an Agfamatic in the 1970s to a Canon professional dSLR in the 2010s, which is your favourite? As well as looking at the cameras I show some of the images I've shot with them over the years, explaining how camera technology has advanced...and my own technical ability too!

Thanks for the great video.. You are welcome to do a more detailed video on each camera :).. I just love seeing old cameras being used and seeing the results that others get.. I buy up cameras that I find at second hand stores and then deals I find around the internet for sale .. I fix, Calibrate and clean blah blah and then take them out and shoot with them .. Its very cool to see what each camera does and what makes them better or worse then others and if the photos turn out good its a bonus and I often end up shooting with the camera again .. I think as quirky as they are my favorite cameras are the really old ones.. I love my Exakta cameras I own (Currently only one of them is usable at the moment) but I just love the simple fact its two spools of shutter cloth and delayed roller that trips the second curtain.. Same with my old Zenit E with the original 44-2 and its leather case I got from a guy that bought it brand new when they was a teen in high school :). Heavy bulky metal cameras but simple and when working properly just have some kind of magic that my more fancy cameras like my Nikon FE2 just seem to lack. I do not have quite as many cameras as you seem to have but I have quite a few lol. And each one has something kind of special about it and I love the experience of being able to try them out and see what kind of style I enjoy the best .. And as you probably can tell I enjoy the slower manual cameras that make me take my time to set up shots and actually turn dials to set the camera up .. Most people laugh at me and pull out there cell phone and snap away photos while im standing there fiddling with light meters and setting up the camera but sometimes its not all about the pictures you get back but the entire process of taking them and developing the film and scanning and editing them all yourself , That is what makes film photography so exciting ..
