After going down the youtube golf rabbit hole I found your channel. This is the best instruction so far. As a 30 year basketball coach, I appreciate the attention to detail and the simple drills that can be used. Your focus on the takeaway and backswing are something simple and easy to focus on. Thank you. Would you consider some simple videos for getting kids started in golf. Perhaps some drills that parents can do with their kids. I am often at the range with my kids and I would love some drills that we can all work on together. Just a thought. I will not be going to any other golf instruction sites from now on.
Really like the third golfer in the video so you have both (bell curve) golfers going in opposite directions of the Pro ideal backswing. Covers all the bases. Great video.
I'm 37. Athletic. Long story short. I can hit the ball decently elegantly. I don't play a lot but when I do I always want to quit working and enter a tournament and win! I've never had a lesson. And I just wstch... this all makes sense. You guys want to sponsor a future Longshot masters winner... then you will have that clout! But I will compete and win and this just made sense
I’m battling this “too much info” issue right now as well. Thank you guys for all your excellent instruction. I hope to get down to Georgia for an in person lesson as soon as possible. I just started swinging the clubs again this month, after having quit playing 23 years ago. I was a single digit handicap back when I quit. I’m upper 50s now, and eager to get back in the game!
Hello- Thank you for all the great content. You all rock Quick video rec- A video about successful golfers who have strong grips and successful golfers who have weak grips. What elements do these player's have in their motions that make them effective?
Always enjoy your videos. Simplicity is the key 🔑 in ALL sports along with execution. I coached athletics for over 30 years, mainly football 🏈 and basketball 🏀 and that was my philosophy. Same in golf. Be an athlete and play! Keep ‘em coming!!!
Your correct when you say that there is simply to much info on the web concerning swing thoughts and theory. My question; Being a eighty, What really hits the ball the right hand or the left? Any videos showing details? Thanks
Amazing as always I noticed at the top of the backswing, the pros hands were much higher relative to his ball cap compared to the amateurs. Is that height of the hands some thing that is important and we should be using as a guideline for right arm collapse and positioning? On the exercise position two back and through, what is the timing on re-centering?
The title of this channel says it all. Its an athletic motion...sometimes its just "hit the ball to the target" no more no less, save anything else for the range "train it then trust it"
I just purchased the live view camera and stand. I find the concept is great but the product is useless because of reflections off the ipad. No matter how I oriented the ipad, I could not see my swing. I find it hard to believe that you could get a useful image off an iphone. Any suggestions would be appreciated before I have to return it.
How does this fit into the head motion video you recently posted? Can you move your center mass 3-4 inches without letting head drift to far forward? It seems that if your "lead ear" remains behind the ball at impact you couldn't drift that far forward? Is this all simplified with ball position?
Great video guys, love seeing all these together. Is there a way we could also see the Pro's club face at the top...I can guess but interested in comparing them all together, thanks!!
Solid info. as usual. 👌 Q: re plane. You use the elbow, some use the belt buckle even the shaft. Some say it doesnt matter. Whats the deal with plane? Looking trim Mike👊
It actually matter a good bit, but the camera has to be in the "right" spot or you won't have a chance to see it. 2 videos from now we have more coming on the plane and camera setup😊
@@AthleticMotionGolf 👍it would be interesting for your take on why some instructors use slightly different plane lines and why you use the elbow. Used drill to check t'away - helped on course.
@@geoff376 Can't speak for anyone else, but from having seen as many swings as we have on 3D now from many of the best in the game, no one swings on the shaft plane. The pelvis would have to do some negative things for that to happen. The elbow plane is very close the functional swing plane and an easy reference to draw. BUT the camera needs to be positioned correctly to see any plane accurately, and I'd say 99% of the swings out there are not.
This could be revolutionary for my swing. I've struggled with an inside move all my life and even now it's somewhat fixed, I simply take it inside later. After watching this, I believe I simply had the concept of the takeaway wrong.
I always like to think that yes, the blue one is always the best golfer, but the red one might, on occasion, thin an 8 iron in closer than blue and throw him a "see that?" look.
that's just it. a player comes over the top and they get told to try to swing in to out. enantiodromia never fixed anyone's swing. my old coach once said to me that his old coach used to tell him to stand closer to the ball one week and the next week he would tell him to stand closer to the ball; and, so on. it wasn't much better for me, either.
You should have let those 3 3D models finish their swings so that we could see whether they are shit players or actually good ones to rely on. Because if they are lubbers, there is no point in using them as examples.

That drill @ 12:00 is gold! Helped me to stop the sway and flipping at the ball. Thanks for the great drill!! Love your podcasts as well! 👍✔
Great to hear!👊
Great video - also really like the takeaway video where you start in motion. Very helpful

Best backswing drill ever!!! Couldn’t be simpler.
Been around a long time for good reason👍
Easily the best golf tuition on the internet!
Thanks Guys. Another terrific video. I was taking it Inside to much. Wow.

This was great. Love the good/bad snowball analogy.
It happens fast😬
This should help with the under 100 yard swings as well as the full ones. Good stuff. Thank you!!
Yes it does! It's a great wedge drill
As I am sure you recall, many years ago,David Ledbetter in a golf digest article, advocating using this exact drill on the course for all your swings.
We talked about that on our podcast recently. Think he called it the swing of the future.
Where can i find check point 2 back and through drill
Thanks guys 👍👍
You bet!

Both hands...but if you're a right hander I would focus a bit more on the right hand :)
It really is that simple ! First time out today with no practice and I saw immediate results. The second part, back, has to be done without lifting.
Great job👏
Amazing as always

I think you can get a "sun resistant" screen protector for it :)
Take a cardboard box large enough for the iPad and set it in there - cheap solution to block out the sun.
Thanck you
no problem sir!

Sean and Mike...how much does simple body alignment cause backswing directions, arm swing...???
It can start a nasty chain of events😬

No way for us to add that in now, but it's the classic neutral face angle matching his left forearm.

Does this work for all clubs in the bag or just the wedges?
All but the putter😉

my backswing is very simple!
great!!
is the blue pro rahm? lol
You guys switched position in this video? Nice swing Mike
We didn't know if anyone would notice 😊
Not that it really matters...but who was the pro swing? Great video, really well explained.
Were not allowed to speak about most of the pro swings...
Are those two alignment sticks joined together and if so what did you use?
Duct tape🤓

@@AthleticMotionGolf Oh, sorry you mentioned it! OK, thanks. But I´d still like to see the whole follow thru next time.
Alexandr Vasilenko the follow throughs are in there👍
