    Having had an amazing mattress that was simple in design but of good quality lasting 17 years this makes good sense.
    The problem I have now is knowing where the get a good mattress that doesn’t sag.
    Having recently bought a Sealey pillow top that has sagged badly I was appalled at what I found when I removed the pillow top. Poor quality foam and plasticky panels everywhere.
    I don’t mind spending good money but I have lost faith in mattress retailers and am a bit lost as to what to buy.

    What do you make of Harrison Spinks? I'm looking at some of their premium lines and I'm seeing the spring counts you mention, 16500 springs with their patented design? A load of tosh or something to their premium efforts?

    • @JohnRyanbyDesignLtdWythenshawe
      @JohnRyanbyDesignLtdWythenshawe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Josh, Thanks for your comment. Harrison Spinks make good mattresses. However, the advice still stands that the more layers of springs you have the less space you have for other necessary upholstery. So it's a balancing act. There's only so much space given the max depth of most mattresses is 35cm. Hope that helps. John & Ryan

    How would you compare the two brands hypnos vs VIspring matress? We are looking at your site, and theres a good amount of options

    • @JohnRyanbyDesignLtdWythenshawe
      @JohnRyanbyDesignLtdWythenshawe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, You've need to be more specific with the mattress models for a comparison I'm afraid. Vispring is one of the more luxury mattress manufacturers but again you'd need to specify which model for a accurate comparison. Alternatively look at our online mattress compare tool where there are hundreds of Hypnos and Vispring models to be compared in just a few clicks! johnryanbydesign.co.uk/comparison-table Sleep Well John & Ryan

    Hi, but Ryan, why would sub 1000 be bad? Could you explain why say a 700 count mattress is not ideal? I feel like in that case, they would make each of the 700 coils thicker, making it just as durable.

    • @JohnRyanbyDesignLtdWythenshawe
      @JohnRyanbyDesignLtdWythenshawe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, the problem with sun 1000 is the spring size has to be bigger meaning less progressive movement. Ie fewer larger springs vs more slightly smaller springs which can accommodate body movements, impressions etc far more readily. Sleep well! John & Ryan.

      Hypnos are fine at the entry mattress level burn it depends on how much you have paid and which model. Have a look at our free mattress compare tool here to compare your bed against others. Sleep well. John & Ryan johnryanbydesign.co.uk/comparison-table/

    I need to buy a mattress, I need one that will last and can support my weight which is 16 stone, I also have a budget of only £400 and nothing more. Is it possible to get a decent mattress for this . I'm struggling with my health as it is but now I'm becoming worst with a painful mattress and poor sleep I'm getting pains in my back, hip and back if my neck and head so I'm rather desperate. Could you possibly suggest a mattress please ? Thank you.

    I know this is an old video. But I'll ask anyway. I'm looking for a new mattress. I am looking at the Dreamcloud as it's in my price bracket and it seems really nice. Do you have any experience with those. If so what do you think? I'm looking for anything up to £750. Side and back sleeper. And more for a heavy person. I have an all foam one at the moment and it's REALLY dipped and giving me some issues.

    • @tornero5898

      He clearly stated that the sweet spot is between one thousand and two thousand springs although what it counts is the number of layers, craftsmanship and the process of making the mattress.
