That said, I'm buying one as my first 5.7 firearm (and if I get this thing you can bet a Rock is coming soon after).
I think the reason the MP7 gets brought up so much is because there's really nothing like it even though it's something literally everybody has wanted for years and can't get. This perfectly fills the gap in the market where the MP7 should be. It's actually better IMO because of the 5.7 round, it has a lot more punch than 4.6.
@@chadmains9636 IMO that reflects problems with how ballistics are measured, not a lack of distinction between them. 5.7 is a significantly better round.

Why do you assume he was speaking about the pistol and not the sbr? They even mention stocks….that you can’t put on a pistol but you can put on an sbr. Why would you assume that?
@matthite2437 please tell me if im wrong, but i have never seen psa ever sell a sbr rifle. They either sell the rifle version or the pistol version. They do sell 14.5 and 13.7 rifles, but the muzzle device is pin and welded to make the 16" length. So when psa sells this, they probably are gonna only offer it in a pistol form with a brace. If a customer wants to do an sbr, that would be up to them. So that is why i assumed the psa "mp7" will be a pistol. As far as I'm aware, they don't sell sbr's. In fact, they dont do nfa items at all. They don't even sell suppressors. So it's a pretty safe bet this is gonna be sold pistol version only.
Rumor has it, that with the importation of extremely inexpensive Turkish clones, the idea has been tabled indefinitely. Which would make sense; It's currently impossible to build an MP5 correctly with American components and American labor for under $1,000.

Yeah, it's a whole different gum in a different caliber. It probably doesn't work the same way at all. I don't know why everyone keeps calling it a clone.
I don't think armscor is letting people do much with it. Which is lame because the caliber would work wonderfully in almost all 10" PDW/smg systems with the ability to operate a gas system. A micro AR-15 that uses scorpion mags, and action would be awesome.
What is the point of this gun? The 5.7 is really fucking stupid, except how it was originally intended 30 years ago - as a full-auto PDW with light armor piercing capability. Almost all these types of weapons are built for the purpose of appearance. Unless it is full-auto, there is absolutely no benefit to this type of gun vs. a pistol. Accuracy is a joke vs. pistol.
