Hi BPRC and camera crew, Love your videos, I've used them before they are great, thank you both so much. I too had a hard time getting the spinner to fit but eventually it got there. I also had four small self tapping screws left over, looked at the manual and your video but couldn't see them being used anywhere. I'll report back after the maiden flight. Keep up the good work👍 EDIT, maiden flight went well, great aircraft. Looking forward to more flights and more great build videos
Hi Brian and Camera Crew.😊😊 It’s ironic that you just put this out because mine comes in this Monday! Thanks for the video. This is going to be my 2nd plane because I crashed my Turbo Timber Evo for the last time. However I am feeling a little nervous now because I might have bit off more than I can chew. I don’t know, but at least it wasn’t that much more than the TT.
You will be well advised to enjoy the build, and then get something a tid-bit-easier, if you'd like to improve your odds at success. This plane has a lot of gremlins on the ground, and the P-Factor doesn't help, as is typical on warbirds...you gotta really be "on it" to keep her going straight for a dragged out, beautiful takeoff, but since it's such a power-house, you can just JANK it into the air - she is powerful!
Oh man, im definitely watching every minute of this bad boy. Just a tad under 4 hours on a HKing plane? Yes please. I've gleened so much rc knowledge from watching UBRS's on planes i may never have. Now, that i fly at an RC club, instead of the park behind my house- (thanks town Karens 😢), the other rc pilots think im a friggin' expert. It's pretty funny. I just started flying rc planes in May '23. 😊 I'll tell everyone that asks," I picked it up from Brian Phillips RC". Check out the Camera Crew, watching YT videos about LockTite breaking down plastic! Awesome😊 Great feature length Yak build, guys 👍
That's crazy - you've only been flying for little over a year!??!?! You're a BPRC success story!!! We need feature you on our channel Al!!! - We could call it "Weird Al Yanks His Sticks - with Brian..."!
I had multiple issues with the build as you experienced. Additional issues with the main gear toe-in. The port main gear was far worse than the starboard side and not fixable. The spinner needed to be cut down for the prop to fit. On the third flight the ec5 disconnected mid flight from the Xt90 leading to a total loss. I did open the battery connector bullets from the esc but apparently not enough to keep a solid connection. So much for my Christmas present.
DANG IT!!!! Sorry for your loss. The XT90 pedals need to be pulled out again on mine, after the three flights I have on her. Wonder why the pedals are so soft on this XT90 - maybe this would be one of the rare occasions where I'd put on a EC5 (one of my LEAST favorite types of connectors).
@ I just ordered a 4.5 inch cf cnc backplate spinner. Something that will fill that nose up a bit. A bit overkill for a cheapish model but why not? Gonna paint it red of course.
The flap on the right wing is traveling further than the left wing flap and this is as if you were sitting in the cockpit. I bet the holes on the servo arm or the control horns arent the in the same holes on both sides.
So, no shade Camera Crew. But, the FMS models that don't have the control horns installed are shorter build videos than this one. 😊 I know, it still bugs ya. Just sayin' 👍

I've been jonesing for a BPRC build video. You have to watch it all, it's never not wild, you never know what you'll find out about the hobby.
Thanks so much! Glad we've worked our way into your RC desires that way ;)
Glad you're doing some hobbyking planes. Try and get the little nugget. Great little plane. Very glad to see an unboxing. 😊
You are the best crew in RC, 2025 will be "Yougeee"
Thank you!
@@BrianPhillipsRC Merry Christmas!
Oh! I like the Christmas over there, near the foyer, instead of over by the TV. The planes definitely belong around the TV. 😊
👍
NICE - We've made it big time - AL's TV!!!

It's good to see you doing a review for HK. They have some really cool planes in grumman hu16 albatross. And others.
That's a great option, we need to do it, especially with our pond!!! Can't wait, and hope you'll be here to check it out when we get our hands on one!

Thanks for the in depth CG explanation!! I appreciate that!
Keep doing what you are doing, Brian! RESPECT!!
Thanks for watching and for the support!

Yes.......I for one, love your long form videos. Just saying..........
AWESOME! Glad you love them - thanks!
Thanks for this video BPRC. Just ordered one. I may get a bigger spinner. I think the stock one is too small looking.
That spinner was a pain to put on too....maybe the new one you find will work out better?
@ I just ordered a 4.5 inch cf cnc backplate spinner. Something that will fill that nose up a bit. A bit overkill for a cheapish model but why not? Gonna paint it red of course.
manual calls for glue on the wing spar and wing joining surfaces. Don't feel it would help this model?
Interesting. I probably should have known this!
The flap on the right wing is traveling further than the left wing flap and this is as if you were sitting in the cockpit. I bet the holes on the servo arm or the control horns arent the in the same holes on both sides.
Did you not use any glue on your wing spar for wing?

LOL - you noticed?!?! LOL
