I have a cat who turns into a concrete statue of himself at the vet, with octopus suction all over her belly and legs. She becomes incredibly heavy and can cling to the carrier even when upside down. I’ve got top opening carriers so she can be lifted out as if by a crane. This takes care of the suction but she still weighs about 50 lbs more than usual and comes out as a solid unmoving lump 😅

Haha, that sounds like quite the challenge! Cats definitely have a way of turning into solid lumps when they’re not thrilled about something. The "octopus suction" clinginess is so relatable-it's like they have an uncanny ability to make themselves as heavy and immovable as possible.
