Our last stray (dumped in the woods near us) snuck in our magnetic screen door, and ate bread, bag and all. Poor thing was starving. He hid under our couch and as I was having coffee, getting ready for work (4:00 a.m.) he darted out and damn near gave me a heart attack. He wasn’t chipped, so we took him in. 2 months later we had a house fire, lived in a camper in our driveway for 9 months. He was there for all of it but shortly before we moved back in he went out one night and never returned. I always wondered if he was a spirit sent to help us cope. Yeah, that is hippy crap, but I’m old and seen some shit. God bless.❤

Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt and moving story. That stray truly seemed to find you at a time when both of you needed each other most. Whether he was a guardian spirit or just a soul in need, the bond you shared was undeniably special. You gave him love and safety when he needed it, and he gave you companionship through such a challenging time. Sending you love and peace-he’ll always be part of your story. ❤

My husband left about 2/3 of a tri-tip on our kitchen counter. I had already gone to bed but was woken up by a strange noise. I got up & as I walked into the kitchen our dog Luci came strutting out carrying the roast in her mouth. She had a very slight bit of guilt when she dropped it at my feet. She’s also helped herself to a fresh pizza still in the box waiting for the oven to heat & chicken off plates.

Luci is living her best life as a professional food thief! 😂 The guilt drop at your feet is her way of saying, ‘Look, I could have eaten it all, but I’m generous!’ Sounds like she’s got a talent for timing-and a nose for the good stuff. Pizza, chicken, tri-tip... she has excellent taste!

When you own a pet you quickly realize they are worse than children when it comes to unguarded food!🐕🐈

So true! Leave food unattended for even a second, and it’s game over. They’ve got stealth, speed, and zero guilt-an unstoppable combination!

Cats and dogs are opportunists when it comes to fud being left unattended even for a millisecond.

Absolutely! Cats and dogs have a sixth sense for unattended food-they're like furry little ninjas when it comes to snagging a snack the moment your back is turned!

My boss had a cat that stole peas off of her plate, but ignored the shrimp. That cat also stole a 1/4 cantaloupe and ate it under the table. Is this a crazy vegan cat?

Sounds like your boss's cat has some very unique tastes! Peas and cantaloupe over shrimp? Definitely a quirky little foodie-maybe a pioneer of the feline vegan lifestyle! 😂
