My grandfather owned one of these rural stores, and it truly was the "walmart" of the time. But folks did a lot of visiting there back then. Nice video!
When I was a kid I enjoyed the visits of the ice truck because the driver would toss small chunks of ice to us kids when he delivered. Our ice box took about a 25 lb block of ice, IIRC, and it would last about 2 to 3 days, depending on how often the ice box was opened. We heated with coal in a big pot belly'd stove until I was about 10 years old. My job was to carry a bucket of coal from the coal shed to the house once or twice each day. The blizzard of 48 layed down almost 3 feet of snow. I was 7 at the time and had to dig a trench to the coal shed and then haul a bucket of coal into the house. as often as necessary to keep the house warm. When we switched to natural gas heating I was over joyed.
That unfinished structure, dubbed "Stone's Folly" by the press, was purchased by evangelist Charles Parham for pennies on the dollar, and was used as a Bible college. It is reputed to be the first place that someone received the baptism of the Holy Spirit during a prayer meeting at exactly 12 midnite, January 1st, 1900. The outpouring continued on a massive scale afterwards.
1:21 those "beautiful women archers" look suspiciously like the young, athletic and beautiful young volken that were filmed in 1930s Germany, but I may be wrong.

Watched 16 minutes so far. Although these photos are amazing but, deep down saddening. I'm sure I can find a photo of myself, a very.pretty girl age 15. Look what happens and we get old. I'd be surprised people 200 plus years from now will see the digital generation locked in rooms for months 😢
Tradition is a value…. It is offensive only when individuals are not willing to see the humanity held within the pictures, paintings, and sculptures of time past!
#1 that migrant family was legal #2 their American neighbors weren't any better off. Talk to some old folks, they can help you with getting your facts straight.
Got a laugh out of that manually operated traffic signal. Heck I have had jobs more boring than that, I've had jobs that were on the level of eating sawdust and sh***ng presto logs. That cop at least got some fresh air. (oh and yeah I bye and bye got jobs that carried more responsibility and more stress too)
My dad was born 1910 in Brooklyn, NY. Some tenements didn’t have toilets, they’d use basins to dump the liquid waste and wrap the solid waste in paper and take it down to the trash cans on the sidewalk. One very old woman would call out the window of a top floor for any kid going by and throw them a couple of pennies to dump her waste. She’d throw it out the window wrapped in newspaper. One day my dad’s friend went to catch it and it hit him in the face…..not good. Dad said they both decided it wasn’t worth a couple of pennies.
The guy who invented the frisbee looks exactly like I thought he would! 😂 You are starting to repeat, throwing in recycled clips with new ones. That's a kiss of death, as we pass up videos, not wanting to see what we've already seen...
I have a picture he would love to have. It is Mussolini, his girlfriend, and another man hanging. My father took it. It has been in our family for a long time. My father was general Eisenhower’s bodyguard.
This is really getting ridiculous - all you are doing is taking any old photos which are quite ordinary and not rare in any way and posting them with a bunch of lies as to their value.
"1890's Walmart"??? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!! Sam and Bud Walton didn't open the first one until 1962! Unless I am terribly mistaken discount retail establishments did not come into well after the turn of the 20th century! Aborting watching the rest of the video and down voting!
I was disgusted by the non historical picture portraying Muslims burning woman. That’s against Islamic teachings: Ibn Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in a journey when he drew apart (to relieve nature). In his absence, we saw a red bird which had two young ones with it. We caught them and the red mother bird came, beating the earth with its wings. In the meantime the Prophet (ﷺ) returned and said, "Who has put this bird to distress on account of its young? Return them to her." He (ﷺ) also noticed a mound of ants which we had burnt up. He asked, "Who has set fire to this?" We replied: "We have done so." He (ﷺ) said, "None can chastise with fire except the Rubb of the fire." [Abu Dawud].
Fascinating. The girl at 9.05 is truly beautiful. JFK and what he stood for, what happened to him and what's going on now is deeply saddening.

I really enjoyed the photos, the captions and the music. Thank you

At 9:30, those sunbeams emanate from all the cigarette smoke floating about!
I was born in 1954, so Im thinking the first 10 years were pretty amazing.
1:21 those "beautiful women archers" look suspiciously like the young, athletic and beautiful young volken that were filmed in 1930s Germany, but I may be wrong.
Fantastic 😮

I use rewind and pause
@@elizabethkelly8552
There were 100 photos, many with long sentences. It takes away from the enjoyment to rewind or pause, picture after picture.
That pledge of allegiance looks to be pre 1956, so before the "under god" bit was added.

You want more subs, start by not putting click bates on your vids.

Very nice. I must have missed the photo from your thumbnail?
Unfortunately, that is clickbait. A lot of misinformation in the captions of this video.

Nice photos but i had to watch at x2 speed as it was so slow
Some of those hardship photos appear to be repeating themselves in the 21st century!

Great photos! Sorry, don't care for the music, but I can mute it. :)

The pics are grand but the music is like toothache. Sorry, had to bail out.
You deserve to lose subscribers with your false thumbnail as clickbait. Big thumbs down!
thumbs down and a block channel
Your long holds on each picture with piano music will lose you subscribers. Competition is great out there.
Keine Erklärung zum Titelbild - schlecht - in Zukunft nichts mehr für mich.😊
Are you an AI? Just curious.

And shut up about your dreams! Get on with it!
I don’t like the music either. That’s why I turned my volume way down. Easy fix.
