Another awesome episode! I know I'm going to sound like an old record but got to say it, your soundtrack choice is truly amazing, so spot on! Also, thank you for the map, well done you Matt & Hayley!! 👍👍
Haley seems to have her priorities sorted - food first! I can relate to that! 😄 Again an interesting and enjoyable episode, amazing scenery, not the dramatic spectacular 'adventure' thing, but just traveling overland with all the mundane day to day issues. Have fun, stay safe.
Hayley consistently prioritises food 😂 Agree, not everyday is off-road adventures but the everyday mundane struggles keep us busy! Thanks for watching 😊
¡Excelente! You do a great job with the videos & editing. You have quite a bit of gear that needs electricity & you do a lot of camping. How are you charging all that? Via bike while riding? I stopped at many of the same locations you did including that cafe for lunch. That wind is intense, gets to be a nuisance, spooky leaning way over in gravel. It’s the Roaring 40s! Yes, the bicyclists are the true heros. Que le vaya bien.
Thank you! We use a usb charger and the quadlock charger on the bikes whilst we're riding, and also power banks for off the bike. Such a wild part of Argentina. The wind, the landscape... so crazy! I dont know how the cyclists do it!!! Proper heroes
You guys were lucky crossing the "Los 73 malditos" (the cursed 73km). This is the worst unpaved stretch on Ruta 40 because of the surface and the weather/wind. You forgot to visit the glacier in El Calafate! 😢
Oh really? The weather was very tame when we were there compared to other parts of Route 40 we were on. We will be going back to El Calafate when we go back up north to visit the glacier 😊😊
@@tworidewild make sure to check the wind before crossing the Strait of Magellan. If it's too windy, the boat does not cross and you have to wait until the conditions get better.
Hola Desde Rio Turbio (Arg.) están a 30 km de Puerto Natales (Chile), ciudad con todos los servicios de una urbe moderna y es la entrada a la 8a. maravilla del mundo: Las Torres del Paine. Buen viaje y lindas aventuras.
I remember looking at old maps of Middle Earth. At the far edges of the known world was simply: "Here Be Dragons." It's this fascination with the unknown & unexplored that motivates us to explore. Surely El Dorado must exist just over the horizon we think to ourselves. However, when it comes to Northern Patagonia -at least on the Argentinian side - it's actually just a whole lot of nothing. Will it pay off in the end? Spoiler alert: Yes.
Yes, unfortunately we heard a few stories about bikers getting blown off their bikes. It's very serious, and somthing we didn't think was too bad until we felt the power of the wind.
The main route is the R3 (south to North). These 73km of gravel are the infamous "damn 73". just a extrange tourist point of suffering...Argentina style. Sorry 4 that.
hahahah very funny 😂🧡

Another super episode, cheers from Filandia 🇨🇴
Thank you so much! 😊😊
South America has incredible landscapes. Cool video.
It's such an incredible continent! So excited for the future and what else is yet to be explored! Thanks for watching 😊
Much Enjoyment 👍😎
Thanks for the visit
You are very sweet and good people so.....Good Luck be strong and carry on leaving The DREAM 🧡
Ahh thank you! That's really nice of you to say. We are really living the dream. So grateful of every moment 😊

Thank you! That's good to know 😊
Crossed Magellan Strait twice, on the return it felt like a hurricane! Unreal.
I disagree, I walked between Chos Malal and Malargue, 81 km on the same route 40 and believe me, it is worse.

Buen viaje y lindas aventuras.
Thank you very much for the advice. We will visit those places when we ride back up. We definitely don't want to miss them. 🙂
When you get to Alaska the road will be that way too.
Apart from the wind, we're really looking forward to that 😊

Very well put. That's exactly how it is. Amazing.
My wife follows a Facebook page of Argentine bikers. There was a posting last year about a biker blown off the road and died.

It was tricky at some points but we got there in the end! The trickiest terrain are the moments you remember the most! Thanks for watching
Welcome to the 73 damned, it is well known by motorcyclists all over the world.
It's a fun little stretch!
