@@mudababy7896 When i said miracle , i just meant to say it was a huge and somewhat shocking result , considering Ding is number 2 , i expected him to be at least competitive but Nihal outclassed him. By so i admired the way Nihal is playing and expect him to be on the Top at some point in his career.

It would go up as the long hand approaches 12 and then fall if the hand went over 12, so when you lose on time, your flag would literally fall. Now chess clocks are digital, but they still show an icon of a flag when you run out of time

The thing is after British rule, a large population of India was left under poverished and fighting for survival. Though we are out of that, still mentally an average Indian still has to worry about a lot of basic things to keep his family running. In such a scenario, if any Indian achieves something at world level, alongwith being a matter of pride, it also gives a sense of confirmation that India is finally becoming developed enough that individuals can pursue world level dreams, and not be only worried about day to day problems.
