Here after Future Redeemed
Apparently there’s a massive explosion near the beginning of this game, and now with Future Redeemed (XC3 DLC), we have a cutscene that, through a radio, reveals a lot of information. Namely:
Dmitri Yuriev from Saga is namedropped
The Radio’s design features the logo of the Vector company from Saga
It talks about Project Exodus from X
It talks about several arks, one of which implied to be the White Whale
if anything is "set up" from this it'll just be more annoying retconning.
@@MeowBanti Not really, this is told from the perspective of those one the White Whale. It's like the XC1 vs XC2 experiment cutscene where we only really got one perspective from Alvis, while Klaus told it from his perspective in Xc2

@@catalyst539 well, 2 did retcon a couple of things from 1. They would also need to change some things either from 1 or from X to make a connection between the two. Mostly because Earth gets destroyed in X, in 1 it's only implied that the planet is earth (with the whole memory space section), in 2 it's never called earth and in 3 they just don't say anything about it except for "Klaus' World".
@@XenoVis Is most definitely Earth. They can explain the destruction of the planet as that is probably the way it looked from the outside when Klaus did the experiment.
XC: Earth changed because of a guy with god complex

If I am understanding this right, they are one of the lucky few that could escape before Klaus used the Zohar.
There is no Low orbital Station in this cutscene, no artificial ring arround the earth, no sirens... Also in Klaus world, it was a rebillion who attacked the Gouverment, not an alien race, also the earth blowes up in X while in Klaus world it is still there and became alrest...

@@Annishark Planets are big we only see less than half of it, it's very clear that the later games are trying to retcon XBCX to fit in with the timeline the same way they did with XBC1.
@@Missiletainn The ring is arround the hole planet (and according to the art book there are multiple spacelift like the world tree), Sirens and all the other stuff are intredouced after XCX and we see the debris of the planet... Its nothing more then fans trying their hardest to put to pieces together who just dont fit at all
@@Annishark There was also no Conduit in the space station, a space rebellion, or Alvis core crystal in Xenoblade 1 but they did a few retcons to make it work with Xenoblade 2. For a while Alvis being Ontos was just a fan theory until definitive edition and future redeemed made the proper connections.
There's many ways they can retcon Xenoblade X if they choose to tie it in to the trilogy in the future. From Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade 2 we see how the events slightly change based on the perspective of who's recalling the past(Alvis in 1, Klaus in 2). In Xenoblade X most of the people were in stasis during the White Whale's voyage and we know the government was lying to the people about many things so Earth blowing up could have been one of those lies.

The technology is differend, the Lore is differend, everything is differend, its just fans who want to connect something wich realy isnt and They made it clear in XC2 that it is not the same universe, there is nothing to diskus

@@yagirlada Oh was there Saga stuff in Future Redeemed? I haven't played any Monolithsoft games earlier than Xenoblade 1. Gears and Saga are definitely on my list though, along with Baten Kaitos [the English dub specifically lol]

My theory is that the mainline games are the humans who escaped earth from London. They ended up in a completely different section of the Universe
now that the numbered games are complete garbage im sure it was all worth it, even then, they didn't really connect, since X's event on earth and 2's event on earth don't match

It does, colors and format match. Thinking about it, we dont actually know how origin was created, exactly. Who made it specifically, and gave the knowledge to melia, nia and tora to help build it? Maybe it was an alien civillization, just like how Elma in X warned the humans beforehand that they should do something about the incoming disaster that would happen.

I don't know how, but I'm sure they're going to merge Saga and X lore into one whole Xeno galaxy.
They'd have to do several retcons like what they did to Xenoblade 1 with Xenoblade 2 and 3 but it's definitely possible.

+Deus Blade Ah, thought so. I'm quite pleased at how this dub is shaping up to be. The so-called "censorships" (which are really very minor compared to the rest of the game) ain't gonna stop me from buying it.
Turnajon one is lyn(which is alright since shes 13)
and the bust slider which is kinda controversial since most character creators always have breast sliders and none are censored. but at least some of the more revealing costumes for other characters are untouched
+Deus Blade Honestly, it's not a major big deal to me, although I can understand why some would be upset. Hopefully the game will still do well in America, though; it's been a long time coming and I can't wait for it. The English voice acting sounds great to my ears.

I'm pretty sure she's also Airi from Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Overclocked. I love that game/series. She's a damn good voice actress. Elma also sounds alot like Makoto from the same game. Happy to know they used stellar voice actors for X.
I was half hoping that it would start out with "In the begining, the world was nothing more than an endless sea."

Well, there may be a little bit of referencing here. I mean, the purple ship certainly looks very organic and free moving, whereas the other ship looks much more mechanical, calculated, and organized. Except at this point we're being killed by both.
This one's more like, "In the end, the world was nothing more."

It's downright criminal that this game is relegated to the WiiU; I love when people would tell me "There are no good games on the WiiU", I'd just stare 'em dead in the eye and say "If there aren't any good games on the WiiU, then why are they all being ported to the Switch?" Besides, I'd also point to this gem. I know the creators said that a Switch port is not likely to happen, but I can only ever hope. This game NEEDS a port! It is TOO good to ignore! And I'm not just saying that because this game hits all the right notes for me.

Really liked this, I could feel the gravity of the situation much more with an English voiceover. Dec 4th can't come fast enough!
Dang. The premise of this game is extremely depressing.
I like that the first thing you see is the plaque from the pioneer spacecraft.
Damn.... This is suspenseful!
Is it weird to say that everything within the first minute of this video is my favorite part of the opening? Two foreign ships of unknown but decimating power approach the Earth, our home, to exterminate the species of vermin called humanity. The foreboding and haunting absence of music reminds you of the emptiness of space, whose darkness engulfs an artifact of the soon to be extinct beings of Earth. It's as if you're experiencing the last minute before staring death in the eye, before feeling your flesh succumb and decay to the burns induced by the radioactive explosions on earth, before losing bits of your body to projectile beams from alien species, before hearing the shrilling screams of citizens and children with widened eyes and hanging mouths as they stare right into and being engulfed by their demise, at the hands of those who cannot be touched by anyone. And people say Nintendo's for kids, when in fact, their kickass developers are making awesome cutscenes. Seriously, this is beginning to be up there with Earthbound's final battle in terms of unsettling atmosphere.
Actually they are fighting each other and it just happens we got all the missing bullets

It's an alien Ship, the World Tree only existed in the Original Universe, aka Klaus' Universe. In this Universe humans appeared out of nowhere
Now we have Future Redeemed. Specifically the Lore Radio cutscene in Chapter 5.

@@oux3456 that could still be true from his perspective. Keep in mind that only a few people (such as those on the Earthlife Colonization Project board) knew about the aliens coming. The Rhadamanthus tower/space station was being bombarded by the rebels (presumably the Saviorites). There was likely enough chaos and confusion on that part of the world that those in the tower didn’t even realize that there was an alien war in another part of the world.

Looks way more interesting than Xenoblade 1. Actually kinda reminds me of Xenosaga with its galactic politics and space opera action.
Did you play through Xenoblade? Xenosaga was great, but the story and narrative for this game pale in comparison to Xenoblade. They're still really, really good, but people who've actually played it consider Xenoblade a God among all video games. How far did you make it into Xenoblade?
I think I played about half of Xenoblade, about 30-40 hours. I'll definitely finish it someday, but I was a huge fan of Xenosaga and preferred the story and overall style of it.
Sorry to rain your parade friend, but 30-40 hours is nowhere near halfway through. Its much, much longer than that. I'll agree that Xenosaga was good, and this is too. But the story and narrative of this game are about a fraction of Xenoblade's. This game is much more focused on exploration and customization, whereas Xenoblade focused on story and narrative. Most people who drop it halfway through will always find it lackluster because again, it's a story game more than a combat based one. "I'll definitely finish it someday" These words killed me inside. I really think you're missing out by not finishing it, since it hooks you more and more the farther you get. In the end it's your choice though.

I agree that Xenoblade is more story-driven than Xenoblade X, but Xenosaga is also heavily story-driven, and I preferred its story over Xenoblade. It is true that I should finish the game before making a final judgment, but I feel that I experienced a large enough sample of the game to make a judgment. If the story doesn't hook me after 40 hours, then it's not as good as Xenosaga (or Xenogears), which hooked me from the start.

I personally found it better than Xenosaga, but that's just me. I'm surprised you weren't hooked in 3 hours to be honest. Xenoblade's flaw though was how enormous it is (story and map wise). Sad to say, most people don't end up dropping it, but a lot do end up simply not having enough time to finish it. I hope you put more than 40 hours into this game though, considering that's the average time it takes to get a Skell.
Once you experience Xenogears you will compare every other game to it LOL

@@UCu5gjzXvp21vqXJOFrSiJkBXuw because its kinda is, monolith software is part of team that making Xenogear, but its because of rushing job and they prioritize the FF 7 first then the workload become unimaginable.
But if they want to "merged" up to the lore, I think saga has more chances to be merged with the blade series, rather than gears.

This doesn't sound as interesting as I hoped. The first one drew me in a lot more. This just seems like pretty standard alien invasion stuff. There's not even a cliff hanger or anything to make you wonder what's coming up.

I don't understand the story anymore all I understand is that a planet like earth was attacked by aliens that look like robots and the people on that plant have mechs just like the ones from the first game even though there from another planet and they crash landed on a new planet. How exactly is this Xenoblade Chronicles anymore ? And also is any of the old characters still in the game what? And finally did they land on one of the to robots from the first game?

The story we know so far is the Earth was caught in a crossfire between two alien races, and during the battle Earth began rotting away. To preserve their species, the humans built ships carrying the people of Earth along with cities, in order to find a new planet to rebuild on. Unfortunately, the aliens caught up with them, and many were destroyed, except for a few; one of which crashed lands on the alien planet Mira. You're one of these people, and your job is to find the others, and repopulate the planet. But the aliens forces have found you and the rest of your kind, and are prepared to destroy them. That's all we really know so far.
At 3:49, who do you think the lone hero is, it might be Elma, but that is just a guess

I've heard from some people that THAT Ares Skell actually has a dual cockpit (According to art book). So, in theory, that "lone" hero could've been Elma and one mysterious person.
Oh yeah I remember someone saying that now that you are mentioning it. Do we know for certain that Elma was one of the operators in the dual cockpit skell? Or is it possible we have two unknown "lone heroes"?
YolmzWelra Could also not be Elma, but in a cutscene (The one where you obtain the Vita) Vandham mentions something about "Your [Elma's] Skell, the Ares." Can't remember the exact quote, but I remember Vandham, or one of the others important guys (Nagi, and the Director), mentioning something about Elma's skell being an Ares.
YolmzWelra Okay, I got the quote "If you ask me, that's time better spent studying that Ares of yours, Elma Ah right, you wouldn't know what I'm talking about, would you? The Ares is what Elma..." Chauson interrupts him with "Vandham" and Elma looks away, stopping discussion.
SPOILER/POST-GAME REWATCH BONUS:
You can spot the Ganglion's Vita in the fray at about 2:30 in, SMASH-DUNKING A HUGE CHUNK OF A SPACESHIP INTO EARTH WITH ONE STRIKE. Just as well that thing was 'crippled' during the game itself, otherwise it might have been close to impossible to beat (except maybe as some kinda special bonus boss). Damn thing was STILL a huge pain to deal with!

***** no, other ships. And yes, according to the narration here others made it. Which to me seems like a natural path for a sequel. Following other ark ships on their fight for survival, each on its own strange alien world. Perhaps one or two even still have their ship in tact, orbiting. That would be sick. And of course, have the arks slowly reach out and find each other. Would be another interesting source of potential conflict as they may not all agree on approaches to survival and negotiations.
Well, I'm not sure about you guys, but my hand would be full trying to hold even one of those ships, so maybe it's the only one that makes it?

Watch gamexplains video on their impressions. Andre played 40hrs and one of the first questions he answered was that it is only in english. No japanese option.

Literally you kinda predicted Xenoblade 3 plot. However it's impossible because the war around rhamadamus was a conflict with a rebel faction called Saviorite

@@catalyst539 It doesn't disproves it. But the rebel part might have happened at the same time because of the chaos and panic as the aliens attack each other. And that would cause even more chaos. Fed up with this war nonsense, Klaus accidentally destroyed the universe and ripped it in two.
By the way you never see those purple aliens in the game ever again because plot holes

This narration reminds me of Other M. Nintendo needs better voice actors and they need to learn to "show, don't tell" with games like these.

Mark my Words: *XC3 is gonna be a prequel to the entire franchise*

Are they just gonna continue in the XC1 universe? Or the second? And probaly ruin them?
ORRRR, are they going to give us a prequel and go more into detail on this "Saviorite Rebels" that were mentioned in XC2? And the ongoing war at that time. More of Klaus and Meyneth! Explore the land of Morytha before it was destroyed by war and Klaus! I'm predicting that XC3 will be the story of the events leading to Klaus' actions.. And a reveal of a 3RD alternate reality of when Klaus was STOPPED!
What if there was a 3rd universe? WHAT IF Klaus made 3? The 3rd one being an exact copy of the original. The ONLY difference was, Klaus disappeared from THAT universe, and was in the other 2? An alternate reality where KLAUS DID NOT DESTROY EVERYTHING! But instead, sent himself and Meyneth to the other 2!
And bcuz Klaus FUCKED with the universe in the 3rd one, PURPLE ALIENS GOT MAD AND CAME TO WIPE OUT HUMANITY AND DESTROYED EARTH. The beginning of XENOBLADE X! And XC3 CONNECTING XCX TO THE MAIN FRANCHISE!
I remember in the XCX opening cutscene mentioning an invasion they saw coming and prepared colony ships ready to leave Earth.
It was bcuz of Klaus' experiments! The "Saviorite Rebels trying to stop him, know the consequences! He tampered with that Meta Universe Manifold thing (Disappeared along with Meyneth into the other 2 universes) and the Aliens didn't appreiciate that and came to wipe out humanity and destroy the planet. XC3 ends where XCX begins!
That'd mean XCX happened *A long time ago in a Universe far, far away*

Note: I haven't played the XCX. I only saw the beginning cutscene. Which is why I made this theory. And pls don't spoil. Just tell me if the aliens had other reasons or whatever. And don't say why. I'm waiting for X to come to NS

Thats kinda stupid, makes the land of morytha and the monsters there a bunch less impactful, as they're just copies and not the actual aftermath.
Love this theory. I wonder how they gonna approach the fact that XC3 is a 3rd univers. Because if we see the scene with Klaus and Meyneyth, everyone is gonna know what will happen. And if Klaus is stop, everyone would go crazy, and will need some solid explanation that explains the univers splitting in 3 at that time.
May be, Kosmos in Xenosaga who can jump from univers to univers, research the zohar find by Klaus, and stemble across different univers where Klaus use the power of the zohar, and finally a version where Klaus is stopped, and the Zohard goes with the lifehold.
I've not finish XCX sooo, don't know etheir. But yes, it would be sooo cool to have a XC3 with Klaus as the protagonist.
