Ive been watching all of you morning tide boys for years and i have figured one thing out. I love your respect and care for the life of the fish. I dont see that in Brooksy anymore and I had to stop watching his channel. your absolute respect makes you so likeable. when you landed that tuna your first thought wasnt a photo, it was get him into a pool. You are a real one and I hope the kids who watch you look up to you and take note of how its supposed to be done
Same. No excessive shouting and always considerate to others. First guy to help someone with their fish and get his lure out the way.

I'm in Canada but travel to Costa Rica and Mexico to fish sometimes, I picked up a saltist hyper light Rock special , and a heavy as well....fantastic rods, super happy with them. What an AMAZING spot-especially because of the wide variety of species. It's a shame those tuna were so finicky, but the day was extraordinary anyway. There's just something special about fishing from the rocks as opposed to the boat. Best, Chris (Maine, USA)

I made a trip to Nicaragua. Delta "lost" my luggage, and later sent a driver to deliver it. They brought everything but my Saltigas. Never, ever let your reels get out of sight.
I always say that I would rather miss 5 fish on topwater than catch one any other way. But when I'm watching a video, I want to see one of those big bastids come in. I would much rather have seen you keep throwing the tops than reel in those juniors.

12:17 = Cheilinus trilobatus - Tripletail Wrasse. Close cousin to the Maori Wrasse, but don't get anywhere near as big.

Hi Mate, I've used a few spoons in the past and actually caught my first ever Yellowtail Kingfish on one, but prefer metals in general because they're easier to wind back in. These days I don't throw much heavier than 20g metals though so mostly use them with light tackle. That said, 65g-85g metals are pretty great on pelagics over here and a big spoon would definitely work too!

Hello Master Briggsy. I am a big fan of your fishing adventures. I also love fishing. Can you give me a light fishing rod and reel for my fishing.
The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel th-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.
