Happy 7th Anniversary!
And so we begin anew!
The new animated season Meropos is officially being developed. I'll be working on animating the episodes' intro and subsequently Episode 1.
The episodes will be around the same length as the glitchtale episodes except now it will be fully voice acted and we got extremely talented people to help me work with the backgrounds.
Very excited to share this new journey with everyone, hopefully this video serves as a taste of what's to come
For now you can enjoy the official written content available, it's a written series that's being worked on by Devour and I, he's writing them and updating every chapter that comes out, so far there are 2 out so give them a read if you wish! (I highly recommend you do so ♥)

This video was meant to be larger but I realized that the later half of this story is spoilers for the upcomming animated series "Meropos" so I made this video but the story is 'incomplete', the second half of this story will be animated when the time is right, for now this first half DOES give a lot of food for thought and intense theorizing.

I always thought HATE's death felt... off. As far as we knew, it was a being of absolute disgust evilness, but the way it reached out to Asriel and looked down as it seemed to accept defeat...
Turns out, HATE is not just made of hatrad, but also sorrow and regretfulness. It is every negative feeling in one out of place trait, feeding on your well being just like a parasite.

@@Zorathefox Betty didn't understand hate, her entire purpose was not allowing peace between humans and monsters, so she didn't really understand hate's reasoning behind wanting to kill all the humans and monsters, it didn't fit her plans, and she KNEW it didn't fit Chara's/Gaster's plans either, and everyone being dead is a lot worse than just the monsters and a lot of humans being dead, so, even though she's pretty evil herself... technically Betty WAS holding it back.
So it’s pretty obvious that since hate effectively came from the red haired guy (forgive me for not knowing names), and hate took his form in a sense (big red sword) so it probably contained his lingering emotions. As the red haired guy once stood in front of a goat monster to protect it from harm, once Chara did the same, the hate remembered that it too knows what it’s like to almost lose something it wanted to protect, so it gave up
Makes sense now, the parallels to the past and present are very clear

Idk the banes either, but yea it does mirror Chara’s story with Asrael. But what I dont get js this: Is determination the source of all powers? Red guy is clearly Determination, and he gave healing to a different person. So determination wielders can give powers?

@@j.corbygamingThat's what it looked like. Determination has always broken this world's limits, having none of its own other than its wielder.
It makes sense to me. Chara made lots of shields with their Determination, and that's normally a power that Kindness has. They also had accelerated healing, and can create weapons, which so far we've seen Perseverance and Integrity do. Apparently Determination is like the "parent" trait of humans, which also ties in nicely to canon lore about how ALL humans have determination regardless of their trait.
I think that if your soul contains the power of DETERMINATION, you are effectively a god in some sense. That’s what I think anyway.
You've portrayed hate as a pestilence on a tree so well. Just as in reality, our brain rots, eaten away by hatred like a disease, here the tree slowly dies from the disease on the leaves. nice shot

@@matiasmagresso7308 While not rotting litteraly, strong emotions can physically change our bodies and brains. Strong negative emotions, especially when experienced over long periods of time, can cause people to become ill more often and have decreased brain activity.

It’s quite interesting. I remember, camila said that every person with a dt soul always wants peace with the monsters. For me, it’s now understandable where that came from.

True. It also explains why every soul trait has a little determination and why determination is considered to be a perfect balance of all traits. Since determination is the origin of all traits.
HATE is probably one of the most important characters in GT. This origin story is probably going to be my favorite. (Edit: It is 😊)

What's sad is, it wasn't anybody's fault, the man who attacked the monster was simply trying to protect his family from what he believed to be a threat, it's kind of upsetting if the determination trait had just gotten there a few minutes earlier he might've been able to explain the situation and how the monster was harmless.
@@adamelkadi2098 He was not doing it out of hatred, the scene was trying to imply that humans FEARED monsters and that's why it showed his family behind him, he was actively defending them from what he perceived as a threat, the reason he still tried to attack despite Irral interfering was because he probably saw him as some sort of traitor to human kind for defending a creature that he genuinely believed to be a threat to him and his family.

And they're not wrong I mean the AMOUNT of things determination is able to do is almost the exact same as a god. refusing death, capable of dealing with GODS. Damn. I don't know if this is supposed to be seen as a legend or a fairy tale, with the red-haired guy being the one who created the traits and monsters and the HATE, but you absolutely nailed it in delivery. Really excited for this series ^^
I love this way of telling the origin of magic. the original determination soul give the 6 others who find him their own branch of magic ( In order. Kindness, Integrity, Bravery, Patience, Perseverance, Justice). and then it seems that he starts to either regret or lose interest(?) in the others in doing so his magic goes haywire and creates the monster category of magic creature. the humans are fearful of the monster and attacks him. the DT soul jumps in saving the monster and threatens the humans. the monster askes the DT soul to kill him. afterwards he is filled with sadness and regret that the "trunk of the magic tree, AKA the DT soul, gets consumed with hate that it starts infecting the leaves, others with magic, causing the aspect of HATE to be created.
I love the Glitchtale universe so much please keep expanding this world more from this point to give us as a community some lore that way we can go back and rewatch the series and feel more in tune with the world of GLITCHTALE!
I don’t think many noticed but it seemed like while everyone seemed to get older, Irral didn’t (as if he’s like a god or something). So when everyone left to live their own lives, he was alone, and the feeling of being alone forever ended up him unconsciously creating monsters, because when you think about it, monsters literally don’t age (unless they have children) unlike humans.

regular monsters age.
a boss monster ages up to a certain age, and then they stop i guess?
(i mean, asgore and toriel had to have aged some amount to become an adult before having children, THEN have children... but... eh, ill just skip over that part, the logic is confusing)
the boss monster will only age (or resume aging) when they have children. if the child no longer lives (or exists), then the boss monster will stop aging... Which is why toriel and asgore have stopped aging.
but regular monsters age normally, boss monsters do not (under very specific conditions).
If that's the case then all the other determination souls like Cooper, Chara, and Frisk should also not age too I think
This entire animatic changes a LOT within Glitchtale.
Not only do we get a better understanding of HATE, but how the people interacted during this time in Meropos, specifically monsters and humans. This was a beautiful animation that answers a few questions, and leaves us with more. I'm really looking forward to the next projects, Camila! This world has a lot of potential in it, and I can't wait to see further in!
As you can see at 9:35. There're exactly 6 branches on the tree that represents the monster race, which is the maximun number of Pokemons you can bring to your team at a time. This is alluding to the fact that Irral had been building his Pokemon team. The attention to details on this animatic is crazy.

So, as far as I could tell, the main determination user was (possibly) the creator of soul magic, and had a similar role to Toriel from S2, as he could awaken a traitless human soul's magical ability.
He also was (possibly) the creator of monsters, and upon realizing that humans and monsters couldn't get along, along with having to kill the monster he created, HATE began to take over and corrupt the magical souls that he had awakened.
I don't know if soul magic and traits besides DT existed prior to this, but if they didn't, the determination soul is essentially Jesus. Lol.
Irral didn't awaken the magic he gave them the magic you can see with their hair and eye colors and all human traits could react with monster magic and yeah Irral is the person who made magic, monsters, and Hate

After losing his friend he literally just corrupted The whole tree!-Bloodline I wonder if we'll get another Part cause I feel like that didn't really explain it to me that much. Or maybe I'm just dumb

This explains allot, so my theory as of right now, is that hate began to form after the main branch, DETERMINATION was very hatefull too the human who tried taking the life of his monster friend, so if thats the case does he control ALL the souls? or is that the result of monster soul coming into contact with human souls creating HATE? so many questions i have after watching this!
I’m guessing that’s how Bete Noire was affected by Hate’s Wrath altering her Perseverance, into Fear (The Opposite of Perseverance)

This AU has gotten so complicated to the point where every single time a new installment to it comes out, I literally have to rewatch the entire AU to even comprehend what's going on.

So not only did Red MC make Hate, he made the other soul traits and the race of monsters?
The tree symbolizes the humans. The trunk was Red Mc. While the branches and leaves were the other humans. The banches only appeared on the trunk after Red MC gave them their trait. He also made monsters, hench the new white tree appearing.
This animatic quality are amazing! Look at the details in every frame you've really improved ! Can't wait for this series to make new core memories for me

I never thought about the relation between determination and healing, like, isn't it kind's job?
But then I realised.
Determination is usually the one controling the [RESET] or [SAVE] button.
They can interface with the timeline.
Even the time itself.
So, his ability to heal, is not just psychic recovery.
It's the ability to [reverse]
I love how you show the story of hate, it kind of ties in with reality, kind of like whenever someone you love is hurt or even worse, you feel hatred towards the person who did the damage.
I love the feeling im left with after watching every animation of yours. Can't wait to see your future animations

All this stories and all this lore is based on the simple genocide route, that Frisk changed. And because of the glitch that Frisk created, all this Glitchtale story started to grow more and more.
It's still very exciting to see how it's transforming into something more greater than just "Story", "Lore" or "Alternative Universe/AU".

Can fear be the 3th tree? Like, betty is not a monster and not a human. Maybe a demon? Since she's the only one who can pick up a fight against determination and win.
Fear is the opposite of bravery, it happens when Hate takes over Bravery.
The reason it was as strong as determination was because of Hate, Hate empowers it's host.
Another reason may be because of the magic that was cast on the trait which turned it's color into pink.
i love how you have made your own story that started as the genocide route from Undertale to being at the surface and then turning it into something that has touched the hearts of so many fans and adding on to a lot of stuff from sea 2 and basically answering a question i had with this because i thought that determination was something else and i was shocked seeing this animation and it made me cry in a good way and i am happy to see how well your animations have come so far.?

This reminds me of a fandom I made a while back. It was another one of those, “if gaster got hate” sort of fandoms. This time it doesn’t fully possess him but makes him evil, dark, ominous and threatening. Mostly all the time he emits darkness where he stands and his face is shaded. He may stare at you, and attempt to interact with you. Getting closer to him will bring a static sound to your ears and a threatening presence to the mind. As soon as he speaks, he changes back to normal with a smile, introducing himself, but he isn’t all normal. He acts like he’s stressed a small bit, and he has a huge DEVASTATING crack on his head. It isn’t bleeding. Soon or later you’ll find out that he’s a child experimenter who kidnaps, tortures, and studies human souls by mixing the DNA of souls and making new ones. New human souls start off as a baby once you let them out of the vial, then they grow like normal. One of his experiments (0007) was experimented on and given a slice of monster soul, and the rest weak determination. This effected the ways on how she was able to use abilitys. She had learned the ability of telekinesis. She quickly breached with this ability and went to met her caretaker. She was a short, kind lady with the abilitys of a rabit and tendrils. She was near the power of a god, due to her pure insanity and determination to fight and defend. She also had a friend, or most likely more of a companion, West. He’s a strong tall man with insanity as well but in the form of rage that comes at random. He can be dark and western. Gasters friend, another scientist a extremely insane human found out how to clone himself. He made 12 clones, each a mixture of every main soul. There’s were the main clones, 3. Chroma 2. Hyperdeath and 1. Unknown. These three were the strongest out of everyone.
The scientist knew about the breach and sent himself to go and find her along with the secondary clones. They all failed to kill them due to the caretaker and west being too strong. Gaster had to go out there himself so he went. He did his usual emotions to threaten the human. But this seemed ineffected. He kept on failing to capture the human and then he saw the care taker. He got mad and decided to try and kill the caretaker. After a long hard battle he died, but due to the attention he drawn when he explained all the things that he has done, he drew the pity of (0007). She healed him and he teleported away. He went back to the lab and repaired himself with robotics. There used to be an old sans who used to come over there, he was also an experiment of Gaster. Sans was absolutely terrifying. He hunted the human and scared the human, but died to the care taker. Gaster recently collected the dust of sans and put it into a machine where it was reprocessed. His soul became stronger than before. Before he had tons of hate on the outside of his soul, but now it’s on the inside assisting with everything. The ability that came to sans was the ability to change the sky color and make illusions and reality bend, but there was one flaw to it. It could only be to threaten someone, not used for good. Gaster took the soul machine and put it in his coat, which is now where the story is presently.
Side notes: the caretaker isn’t toriel
(0007) wears a hospital patient outfit and has multiple cuts and bruises.
West in his early stages used to have a metal arm.
This gaster was made in 2022 near August.
The au name is THE HATE INCIDENT or originally Bloody!Tale.
Sans is involved with Shatter!verse.

After thinking out this animatic this is what i thought of, not sure if its what you were going for but its what came to mind after watching.

The fear becomes hate

So I noticed some people were confused on irall’s ability to seemingly give other humans their soul traits, so here is my take on what I think is the best explanation…
According to alphy’s messages from the true lab, all human souls, regardless of their actual trait, have some amount of determination within them. So presumably, we can assume that determination is the core of all human souls, and each trait is essentially an extension of the determination within their souls. So my theory is that irall (the red haired guy) is simply infusing determination into the humans that he comes across, which then takes the form of a trait. This would explain the tree symbolism we see throughout the animatic, all traits are basically an extension, or “branch” of determination, that includes hate. However, unlike the other traits, which simply are apart of the determination and work with it to fuel the humans powers, HATE seems to actively feed off of a persons determination, like a parasite or disease. Since all human traits are technically just extensions of determination, this would also explain why hate can infect anyone, regardless of their actual soul trait.
Time and time again you make it possible to revive this community again and again. You work is astonishing. I think you as a candle in a dark room lighting the other candles. Thank you for existing!

story for the main cause of why betty lived an extra 6 episodes
Although this is incomplete and uses heavy symbolism, it is a very intersting and fascinating origin to magic and hate.
HATE.. and it's really sad to see that after he gave powers to such souls, he was genuinely kind and
spread his powers everywhere.. until his friend died.. to FEAR.. and he was determined to fight back, but HATE..
it spread everywhere, all across.. and yeah, i wish to see more backstory, this is interesting!

It's a shame we couldn't see more because of the potential spoilers, but I loved this short! There is just something about the way you slowly introduce each character in your prequels and manage to make us care about what is happening in just a bunch of minutes with no dialogue. Seeing how good you constantly get and how much efort you put in your stories, I can't wait to see what you have prepared for the third season! Of course, take your time and don't let the hate comments rush you by any means. Just know that we will always support you as much as we can and we thank you for this masterpieces

This is shockingly similar to how the world for a story I’ve been working on works. Every conscious species has a champion that appears and harbors extreme levels of complexity and power which they share amongst the rest of the world as gifts for prosperity, a champion is very much a reflection of the species itself and is responsible for many aspects of culture around the world. The champion of GT’s humans seems to operate in a very similar way
Crazy how all this started from one person with Determination.
Well, shoot. I may have missed the premiere because work sucks, but this puts so much into perspective from what we saw at the end of season 2. The context of Hate just giving up the fight all finally adds up, and in a way, it makes things a bit more depressing.
And to think that this is basically just part 1 of the bigger story……frick me.

Think of it from a more literal perspective. The source of all power is Determination. The traits of a soul determine what attributes their magic has, and as a result what they are good at. Determination? Think about what that trait means. If we were to put Determination into reality, it would be something akin to an unstoppable force. Everything bends to the Determination user's will because their will is that much more powerful. Determination is not a trait that determines whether you are powerful or not. It is a trait that shows itself in the strongest wills. All traits are capable of holding determination. But they are traits in the end. Traits are a limitation. Determination, I believe, is the trait that occurs when your will to reach your goal surpasses all your other traits. In other words, *_it is the unwavering ability to change and become whatever you need to be at will._* And thus why it can freely use the properties of every other trait. The power of free adaptation in order to do what you want. Save, kill, imprison, protect, heal, destroy, anything.
i don't know why but videos like these from cami feel so emotional to me. Cami portrays emotion so well, it's astonishing to me. Thank you so much for another one of these. Been here for a lot of years and i'll always be patient for the next one! Don't rush it! Just do your best :D
So the determination person is the reason traits and monsters exist and when he started to feel hate the hate started affecting the trait users. Seems interesting
It now makes sense how Toriel has healing magic.
Also, how do you come up with such a masterpiece? Lore and world building is hard but rewarding, that’s for sure.

I've watched this video a thousand times and I still love it.
What I get out of this is that he hates himself. He hates himself above all else. He lost someone very dear to him and he hated that he couldn't protect her. He sheltered himself away from others because he was scared he'd lose more due to him not being able to do that. But later he realized he could still give them the ability to protect themselves. He shared his power. But he believed it wasn't enough. What if something happened? So, perhaps, as a result he created monsters through his sheer determination. Protectors? But it didn't work. They were afraid. In the end, again, his own magic, his own creations, caused more pain and misery for himself then he could ever know. Once again he hated himself. He hates himself so much it corrupts all else he made. Thus the tree of humankind became wrought with hate. His own tree.
He failed to protect what he loved most. And so Hate realized it became exactly what it hated most. Thus it couldn't finish off Chara/Asriel. What do you do when you see yourself?

the tears of hatred... but honestly, a really interesting story, well done, i really loved this concept of the tree growing, and then getting affected by the hatred like a disease, really unfortunate to see this happen, but its just what it is...
Whenever he cries, the hate spreads all over through the Souls.
So that's why Hate stopped... Chara was shielding Asriel as he did.
WOW I LOVE IN HOW SO MUCH WAS PUT INTO THIS! Even when they don't talk it was really easy to see in how the story was going!
I have caught up with glitchtale at the recommendation of a friend and GOD THIS IS AMAZING!! THE DETAILS, THE FOREHSADOWING, THE ARTSTYLE, THE PLOTTT,, THE FIGHT SCENES, THE METAPHORS, ALLL OF IT!!! THIS WAS BEAUTIFUL!!
I was just thinking about something that I would like to confirm. When red fingers(forgive the name lol), looked at the rusty axe. Was he afraid of the fact that people had become dependant on the magic of their souls and that they wouldn't know how to live without it? Or was it a sense of loneliness that drove to create Thistle(thats my name for green azzi)?
