I do hope they build the station in Eatonville and start the train from there.
I think it would do so much for the town and the railroad . It would be great to see the geared locomotives and the Polar Express again

The Ashton 3-Chime whistle you said that is good, was originally Number #5's whistle form the 80s and 90s. After 17 was restored to steam following her overhaul, the whistle was placed on her. It's now on Number #70, and most likely because all the engineers and fireman love it so much. And I will say it is one of the most beautiful sounding whistles I've ever heard and is perfect for a Logging Mikado like Number #70.

I agree it's a beautiful sounding whistle I am glad to here that whistle again it's perfect on Number 70 😃👍

Its because 70's whistle broke and it was the only working whistle left on the property.

It’s also interesting that number 70 has a Sister locomotive operating down in Oregon locomotive number 2 which recently participated at a train fest held at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center

The whistle is an Ashton 6 inch 3 chime off of their #5 steam locomotive.
Also wanted to note that the Southern Pacific Railroad commuter coaches were acquired from the Oregon Pacific and Eastern Railway years ago.

    Great video! Very well done.
The museum has half a dozen various miniature working steam engines. Quite a neat place.
Sorry, but I must correct you. Bethan is a woman, in fact she recently gave birth to a set of twins just prior to the grand opening.

Check out my youtube video Mt Rainier Scenic Railroad 1989. I loved that #5 Porter. So that #70 is the 4th 2-8-2 that I am aware of that the Mt. Rainier Scenic has made operational. What great work those guys do! Fantastic !
