I forget if I emphasize it in the video, but because the Roman effect is treated as a debuff, you can cleanse it and even prevent it with debuff immunity.

Seriously, Void Shiki is a godsend. Void NP cleanses debuffs, kills the mobs, and then your 2nd NP does a shit ton of damage

Jeanne was an MVP for me in this quest, making the party invincible and clearing the Roman debuffs so my Hokusai and Artoria could attack earlier.
She's the reason why I enjoyed this CQ quite a lot.
Thanks for this tip, slotting her in my setup helped with clearing.
I didn't come up with this idea myself, but Merlin, Waver and Bedievere as a front line with Holmes first in the back line ended up working out after two or three tries.
Thanks Fino, this one helped me a lot, I actually used this exact set-up but replaced Saber-lily with OG Saber and a NP1 rather than NP5 Musashi, which made damage quite low. I hated this one honestly, worse than all of last years for me.
Nah this ones 2nd place. Eh-chan still claims number 1 on the bullshit-o-meter. I don't know what it is. I beat it last year but this year it's just a big NOPE.

Fino, I can't thank you enough. I slacked hard on these Challenge Quests and had to grind like...all of the 2021 ones in two days. And 3 of the old ones too. And these guides helped me pull it off. Big thanks and I love this new format so much! Seeing things in real time is a big help!
Took me 3 days of retrying, I just finished it earlier, I used Mash-Mordred-Merlin for my final try, took 33 turns to finish with a super close call end, only 1 more turn before 4th Rome
I dumped so many resources to try different set ups. In the end it came down to having to command spell an NP or face full powered Romulus
Is it possible to do a mash,shiki, Merlin set up?
@@cesarsalazar8618 I think so, but if you are gonna use Shiki don’t use a Merlin, use Waver or Tamamo for more power
Also I also tried Saber Shiki but I don’t have any of the Caster supports so I didn’t get far into the match, she removes the Roman debuff so if you use her NP before Romulus NP everyone might die without some invul or evade

Edit: finished it cutting it real close since it was 3 tics till his 100% Def kicked in. Used Waver, Shiki, Merlin, Mash,Tammamo, Mozart and didn't even need to use them all with Waver being the only casualty(RIP Mr.World Wide).
This comp helped me so much! Got it in 27 turns
At least I am happy that Saber Lily's Instinct is going to get buff during the 6th anniversary to make her farming a bit more consistent and the healing in her NP more powerful.
It's kinda hard to find a Support Musashi with MLB Jewel Bride because they are mostly in Arjuna Alter and Cu Alter though I did manage to at least find a Musashi to finish this Exhibition Quest with Saber Alter as the AOE Saber.

Actually really helped me out. Was stuck on this fight for quite a bit with my comp consisting of hoku saber as my main attacker. Did quite a few runs and got really close, but it just wasn’t enough. Then you explained that the buffs cycle through one another, and that another attacker to take out trash mobs would be useful. So, I ran hoku saber as my main attacker and a friends saber shiki as my secondary attacker and it worked like a charm. Also brought Merlin, Tammy, mash, and then George on my other slots. With that one done, I’ve completed every single exhibition quest. Feels fucking good man.
Stall with Merlin and mash and an AOE saber. Took about 30 turns but got only just got to Rome 2.
After much trial and error I finally got this to work with a support Artoria Pendragon and an NP2 Beni-Enma. Thanks for the guide on the ROAMAAAA debuffs, took me 2 hours of frusteration but I finally edged out a win.
Well, after finishing this CQ. It made me realise that I lowkey wanna roll for Musashi (Saber) ngl. It's fun bonking folk with a strong Saber. Also his ticket gave me a Mama Raikou, can't complain about that at all!
Another saber that works great here is okita. Since her np generation rate is innately amazing, it makes it so that you can use her np every other turn, when the roman debuff goes away. It does mean that you will have to deal with the invul, but its not that tough to handle in the first place
I ran a pseudo stall team with jeanne, seiba and merlin. the arts centric deck along with garden of avalon gives a consistent source of battery and overcharge for artoria to spam excalibur to kingdom come. the 2 invulns were pretty handy for the stray taunts and enemy NPs too.
Worth noting too is the fact that certain JP clears are a lot harder to pull off in NA due to the fact that we got an update (originally a christmas 5 one) that no longer removes both invul and damage cut stacks of ROMA man at with one hit (if both are present at the same time), so certain clears like the Bedi/Merlin/Waver one get a lot lot harder without the use of grails/gold fous/levelling the CE, basically doing anything to gain extra stats to punch through romulus's potential leftover damage cuts from phase 2.
Personally i did a 7 turn clear with a friends grailed np5 okita simply because i was trying to speed clear, once you get rid of his invuls after popping bar 2 the fight gets substantially easier
Thanks for this, I was running a one attacker setup and failing. Two attacker setup is the one that give me the W.
Did Beni-Enma, and Artoria Vanilla with various supports. Cleared it first attempt. Way easier then other Challenge Quest.
You can also use a mystic code with invul pierce if you don't want to use musashi because by the time your dps is cleared for another hit you should have burned through those 10 stacks of invul. Okita is really great for this cause her np gen makes it easy to meet the dps check and she also can bypass the defense buff on 2nd phase and his imperial privilege defense buff.
I actually ended up running a support Saber Musashi, along with my own Summer Musashi, which worked super well.
mUSAshi for the chip damage and add clearing, saber for boss nuking. Jeanne was also very helpful.
I had to use merlin jeanne musahi with waver helping take out the first two bars took me all day
Dioscuri is great for this fight, especially their ignore invincible NP.
Somehow, Siegfried saved my run for this... Only because he's my best aoe saber at np3 (and no one on my support list had the dmg CE on one), but he pulled his weight and the cleanse was clutch!
Sherlock also have pierce defense besides pierce invul, so you can also use him during bar two, and he comes very handy, because even if you can't break the bars while his NP effects are active, you can deal damage to him while you hit down those defense up and invulnerability, so doing very good stuff our boi Sherlock. Or you just could go wild and use it as DPS too.
I couldn't do this quest with a saber, my best ST saber is houkusai but I didn't have any good off attacker options and keeping them both alive was a pain. Eventually when for a different approach and used Arjuna alter as main attacker and jeanne as primary support and merline/waver as secondary supports. With this approach it took a little longer to deal dmg after bar breaks but I stalled out Romulus' buffs so much he didn't get to second rome until some time after 2nd bar break since juano does a fair bit of dmg to romulus and beat any trash mob. I ended beating every single enemy in this CQ with this approach. So for those struggling I do recommend this approach. it'll take some time but give you a lot more breathing room to maneuver.

Saber Shiki helped this *so much*. She kills the side ones, she penetrates invuln, she cleanses, she recharges quickly. My friend with an NP5 lvl100 saved my butt so much. I'd have cleared on my first attempt if I didn't make some really easy mistakes right near the end.
After countless failures with ST sabers i went with arjuna alter merlin waver and skadi backline. This felt much easier since arjuna does almost ST level damage
Aoe is highly undervalued here. I had almost double the turns.
Definitely the hardest challenge quest in this entire event.
Managed to beat this in nine turns with a fully maxed out Musashi support and damn near optimal RNG (got multiple brave chains / NPs in a row and managed to focus him down).
This was the hardest Challenge Quest by far for me in this event. Was able to complete this last CQ I needed to finish two minutes before the event ended and right before the turn where Romulus and his Romans would become literally unkillable lmao let's gooo
Sanzang has a neat party wide 1 turn debuff immune which let me NP brave chain with Musashi for some nice damage
i used a friends arjuna alter and my np1 mushasi used merlin with 2030 instead of waver to sustain and gen crits also used nightingale since her heal can let your dps go all in on bb chain .
Finally beaten this EQ with Mash/Artoria/supp. Merlin. Backline were Sherlock/Bride/Georgios backline.
Sherlock was the MVP. Beside the obvious ignire DEF/Invincibility via NP he also brings NP seal, self 3T debuff immunity that goes well with his self Evade, effectively making him a Ruler tank due to the lack of Roman status.
I saw this video go up about 5 minutes after I finally beat the quest. Oh well. I basically ended up running the same strategy anyway. Ironically even though I have Musashi I didn't end up using her, since the only sabers I could find on support were single target so I had to take my own AoE.
Friend support saber Hokusai clutched the victory as my last alive unit after 18 turns, all in all not actually the most frustrating of the quests although certainly not the most fun either.
I beat this using the Waver-Merlin-Bedivere setup with the Atlas mystic code. Waver spooked me early this year (2 years of playing to finally get him), Merlin destroyed my summer in acquiring him (no space ishtar for me), and I am fortunate to have my own NP5 Bedivere. Bedivere's secret is that his NP does a lot more damage with overcharge. So it's just a matter of charging all of them up as fast as possible and...
...and then Romulus straight up murdered Merlin on turn 5. Enter support Musashi. That support Musashi clinched it, both piercing and removing Rome's invincibility with a pair of RNG bravechains, but it was still very very very close. Bedivere's final NP did over a million points of damage at 400% overcharge.
I had to dump a command spell for the final strike. Romulus had like 400k left but I wasn't doing enough killing of the mobs so next turn he would have gotten his final buff. Also had Shakespeare to drop a buster buff and a MLB kscope Holmes lined up to get that pierce. This trip to pound town was indeed a pounding

It took a CS and a couple of resets, but I was able to clear it with Void Shiki and Beni-emma as my dps units. Hardest part was just figuring out how to cycle the Roman debuff through everyone.
Just beat this CQ. It took countless tries. I could never find a support Musashi. So instead I opted to use Hokusai with Waver, Bride, Tammy, and Mash to burst Roma down after 7 turns. I was almost in disbelief by the time it was over.
I did my winning run with: Gawain, Mash, Support Benienma(np3), George, Waver, and a backline emergency merlin that never came in. Benienma oneshots his first bar no problem. Then you stall with Gawain and kill the mobs while charging beni’s bar, and 2 Beni NPs should be able to kill roma’s second bar even through his damage cut because of her supereffective damage against him (he’s chaotic). Then just spam gawain’s np as much as possible and keep killing the mobs (you can actually run up his 3rd and 4th rome timers to like 30 turns so you have some breathing room). And once his invul stacks are gone beni cleans him up easily.
U can safely ignore what Fino says about Gawain if he’s your off-attacker. His buster deck is actually great for murdering mobs. His np should also be fine if you use his nightless charisma and numeral of the saint buff. Also since he’s AOE Roma should be buff stacking him constantly.
Okita with Skadi works well in this one too since Okita NP is handy in 2nd phase with damage cuts
Be sure to watch the whole video couple of times before following his actions cuz he "goes back in time" to redo turns.
If you don't have a strong st dps, use an aoe saber instead. I cleared it with mordred, merlin and Jeanne.
I used Beni, Berserker musashi and merlin. I had everyone have the roman buff at the end of every turn with rotating cd's for the dps. One aoe NP makes the count downs a non factor since you are killing so many Romans off incidentally. Took 20 turns since I had only lvl 90s with NP1s, but he still never hit his third Rome stage.
This cq was quite fun, I managed to beat it with Jason as dps
the ideal team is 2 AOE servants + jeanne
I personnally used chacha and a friend mordred, then multiple defensive supports like chen gong, andersen and mash
Clever title, Wlbert Aesker.
With two hours left and two command seals, got it done.
I did this using a friend Sherlock at for the 3rd break bar. It was a pain to keep him and the DPS alive during the other 2 breakbars but I did it with the help of all 3 command seals
Mash with male defense CE saved my absolute ass here. Managed to slug it out with mash, Merlin and saber shiki plus a command spell after 34 turns ;-;
This is prb the only CQ that requires careful planning out of all the CQs
Oddly enough, the Roman effect has saved my butt a few times, since Romulus will buff you occasionally, and sometimes it ends up being a large amount of NP charge, which is always awesome.
Edit: Tried it again with Musashi (Berserker) as the main attacker. Works like a charm. Her, Tamamo, and Merlin. Between them and the occasional NP charge you get from being Roman, Musashi was NP looping like crazy and Romulus never hit Rome 1. It is definitely slower going than having Saber Musashi's single target NP, but having Tamamo means skills are up way more often so it feels like somewhat safer of a fight.
I did this one easily using Artoria/Merlin/Jeanne. Using an AOE attacker makes it way easier to clear out the trash mobs.
I clicked it as soon as I saw Lily. What a clear.
Personally, i killed them all with Mordred, Merlin, and Jeanne. Idk why, but i really wanted to kill everybody after failing 5 times. Took me 40 turns, but it was worth it. Had 10 turns before the 4th Rome buff, so it was relatively close.
cleared it with brave eli, only took me 2 runs to figure out i didn't actually need any taunters and from there i cleared it handily yup. she's perfect for beating up leonidas, solos crimson heroine, even wipes out rome. eli is scary.
Well I had to try and yes, you can run Summer Musashi for this one too. I thought she was in danger of being killed but it was a rather safe and easy run. Jeanne helped a lot but I also don't think Musashi was targeted once during 30 turns, which seems really wierd. Her accel turn evade stayed up the whole run from turn 1. I am guessing there is some sort of targetting prioritization at work here or else my rng was super odd.
Easily the most frustrating thing about this challenge quest is that I have a Lvl. 100 NP5 Musashi on my friends list to make it easy...
But the person hasn't logged on in almost a month.
Roman Servants are useless in this Exhibition Quest due to Romulus special defense for Roman debuff Servants which includes the actual Roman Servants where the only Servant to not be affected by the Roman Debuff is Boudica due to lore but she's not exactly the best support and she's also not a DPS Servant.
If these guys didn't constantly hit Merlin, I could do so much more damage with Artoria
Make Merlin Roman occasionally so that they don’t always target him
took me 24 turns of a cheese father daughter strategy (my mordred + friend np5 artoria), only they survived and had to use all 3 command spells to heal them
honestly... I hated all this event's quests and this one wasn't any different i'm just glad it's over
I ended up trying to copy xNaya's 3T clear for this which used Nightingale's multi-hit/turn debuff immunity to let Musashi pretty much ignore the Roma mechanic until the last bar. Didn't get a 3T out of it (I guess I need to build an eSports nurse at some point) , but after a few tries managed to clear it anyway.

I did it with NP2 okita. Was relatively easy. Had to do some scuming to keep skadi alive long enough for the final push, but wasn't that hard.
I just slapped Salter as my only attacker and laid waste to Rome
i'am suffering i need a good musashi to finish it before the event ends but i can't find any .... eternal sadness
Am I missing something here? How do you have 2 MLB CE on 1st & 2nd servant? I thought we can only get 5 copies total from lottery? None of the quests drop them from what I can see on Wikia.
Someone in my friends list had Musashi, but I couldn't clear this fight.

Well, I failed this one. I had one shot at it and I blew it. Only by 1 turn too. Make that 6 crystal lores that I burned. 3 from the rare prism shop (thanks covid), 2 from the first Guda, and now this.
Man I feel dumb, I never realized the roman thing was a debuff. I thought it was treated like a _buff._

Finally managed to beat it with Brave Ely-chan, Shiki Saber, Grailed Hans, Mash, Waver and Merlin. This CQ is fucking disgusting and I hope I never have to play it again.
Saber Shiki is perfect here, but RNG is still a big factor. I couldn't get her to crit for most of my runs for some stupid reason, despite having a 2030 on my Waver and an MLB on a support Merlin.
Shiki Saber is VERY handy for this. Invuln Pierce + tanky + instant kill the bronze trash. Borrowed a grailed Musashi for this. Wasn't that hard honestly, got it on second attempt.
Would my own lv100 np1 Musashi work?
Every time I see someone using Musashi on this quest she is NP5
I tried the supp Mushishi but i had more luck with my own Hokusaber and Sherlock with supp Mamo... She made real short of this Roman wannabe
Did it with moedred solo DPS and all the stall supps. All and all got decent rng and was an easy fight
Sadly I only have a NP1 Musashi and none of my friends had Musashi. Saber Shiki actually helped me beat this annoying CQ.
This fight is a walk in the park compared to achilles
Achilles one was easy. Eternal city you really need good supports and timing where you put them.
And you really need servants that has more utility than just damage.
Achilles you can stun lock him very easy with just the Gorgon sisters.
Found it pretty fun, I used the Swimsuit Mystic Code (Quick up/Invul Pierce/Heal + 10% NP). DPS was Okita and I used Skadi/Mashu for a 9 turn clear and a Skadi/Waver for a 7 turn clear. The Invul Pierce really helped in clearing him fast before his next buff is reached.
7:12 first card crits and second doesn't. Wouldn't you have killed the trash mob if you selected Musashi's card first?
It's possible but that's not how rng works.

After spending lireral days trying to do this shit, I've finally accepted the fact that I can't physically do this. My maximum is bringing him to 800000 hp on the last bar. It's the only CQ I could clear. At least this hell is ending, so I don't need to worry about it anymore 😌
i know ferg is genuinely Not a good servant but with romulus actively accelerating all romans' charge i think grailed fergus could possibly play the same role as lily lol

I did this thinking the mobs lowered the fimer lmao finished it in 10 turns with my musashi and not killing really any mobs lol. Broke both bars in 3 turns. Used combat suit to do that!

This is a shit CQ. Basically it requires you to have a VERY WELL-BUILT Saber preferably NP 5 and level 100 to actually do anything to Roma himself ! I rekted him with Okita setup but VERY VERY barely imho it is almost impossible for a budget setup to clear it. The best I think is NP 5 Bedivere which is quite unfriendly to newer players AND you also need Waver, Merlin and prolly a full 5 star support setup too.
Not as obnoxious as Taiga though but yeah YOU CANNOT STALL ! This is the biggest problem in this CQ imho you must go full meta or suffer a fast defeat as by turn 15? Roma will have gained his full-damage immunity buff which makes the CQ literally impossible to clear.
I went with my Musashi, Waver and a support Merlin. Took about 14 turns to give Rome the Attila treatment.
All in all, pretty fun fight and soo much better than the Brave Eli shitshow.

My friend list fucking suck... No Cu alter and No good Musashi time to do some cleaning. The even quest this period is anti-fun at it finest... no wonder Nero fest get suck for a year
Remember When Nero quest use to be mostly one on one match with simple but challenging gimmisk instead of buff stacking hell... yeah, good times.
After last year, I decide to throw my hand up say screw it. Fuck the one million Health point fight that require the fucking Cock wizard. I am done with Nero quest after beating everything they throw at me last year (I beat them all). Finally Nero quest is fucking over.
My only % star support is waver and the entire friendlist pretty much stuck in the Jurrasic age with Galaxy brain badly level servant. The Cualter that use to carry is replace with Godjuna the glass-canon (Which I already have). I am done refreshing support list looking for a saber that isn't 6/6/6 Musashi.
I'd like to pin point that: "ALL Artorias are trash servants".
