Some of them were just really not preferable to get for the sake of time, such as herding sheep, but others are impossible at the stage of the game within the mechanics of the challenge, such as hint art moons (you have to beat the game first) and the last moons CJ got in snow kingdom, since they would have soft-locked him from the run.

@@BaconNuke There's a limit of three talkatoo moons you can have available to collect at a time. If you get three talktatoo hints that are all impossible, you have to reset, since talkatoo will only ask you to collect the same ones again until you collect the requested moons.

I don't know if this is even possible for both players to finish but what if a Talkatoo/Moon Lockout existed? Once someone gets a moon the other cannot get that same moon and has to get a different moon that hasn't been locked out.

No Its Actually the best way to do it because "TH-camr" speaks to A Wider Audience And the Ppl who Know Smallant would click it anyway regardless of the Title
Some moons require progress farther into the game (such as some hint art being in moon kingdom, making those moons impossible to get). Talkatoo can only give hints to three moons at a time, so if all three of those moons turn out impossible, and there are no story moons left to find (story moons are moons that progress the game through its story) then this ends in a Softlock, therefore losing a lot of time.
Gotta give you credit, the edited in red colored text for the impossible moons made this a very understandable watch
