What a strange, but pleasant find. This is the only classical piece on your channel, but you selected one of Chopin's greatest works. You played it very well!
Honestly I love hearing other people's interpretations, that's the beauty of music and I actually like your tempo it really expresses the emotions the composer intended to. Ignore the negative comments your playing is beautiful. 😊
What ? You like a completely wrong tempo?? Chopin wrote "doppio movimento" at the final part. More clearness is not possible. Mrs. Jackson has not the technique to play this piece. Btw. This piece was part of my piano diploma program in 1983. So I know stil each note of this piece.
@@danielungermann7055Not everyone is going to play it perfectly. And the doppio is interpreted in different ways by different artists, specially in Chopin's pieces. 💕
This is such an underrated performance, well done! Most pianists, even the majority of the best in the world, take the doppio movimento way too fast in my opinion.
Probably because they take the opening section too fast. The Doppio needs to be played twice as fast as the opening. When deciding how fast to take the doppio, one needs to play the first section accordingly. Would you not agree?
@@kaypie3112 "doppio movimento" technically means twice as fast, but things are interpreted a little differently historically in Chopin's works. It's an indication serving more as guides to the character/mood of the piece rather than exact tempo markings. Some take it more literally, and some just play it more energetically but maintain the same kind of tempo. Rubinstein and Ott are good examples of the performance style I like.
@@cutecutecutecutecutecutecute Calling a tempo wrong is absolutely ridiculous, every pianist can choose to interpret a piece however they wish. This culture of invalidating any interpretation that is unorthodox is why people outside of the classical music community see classical music as elitist and uninnovative.
Hello, love your piano music👍🏻 and I have a suggestion. Would you mind to adjust the camera angle, so that it may also show the pedaling(not only fingerings) in your upcoming videos? It will be very kind and helpful for the new players and beginners to have references from you, and also let the whole picture more complete.😇

I really don't want to ruin it all, but this piece was played wrong. She ignored a lot of markings from the real sheet music, such as the ‘Doppio Movimento’ indication. She also played it in wrong tempo. The sheet says ‘Lento’ and she plays it as if it was between Grave and Largo. If you want good references, I guess it would be better for you to listen to real professionals' performances. 😵💫💕
This is a very hard piece, very impressive! Play the piece as how you want it to be, slower or faster its all your favor. As long as you enjoy the piece while you are playing it 👍
It’s so boring with this tempo. And do you care about the nuance ? Honestly you should listen Rubinstein interpretation. It would teach you a lot of things about classical music and piano…
It's the same tempo as the Pogorelich interpretation, and I actually prefer Pogorelich's interpretation over Rubinstein. Granted, in my opinion she doesn't play it nearly as well as Pogorelich, but the tempo is perfectly acceptable.
Сыграно ужасно. Темп вышел из чата. Произведение получилось слащавым, без душевного волнения и экспрессии. Куча фальшивых нот. Нельзя такое выкладывать, рано
