Too many videos skip the unloosening etc and just jump right to where the battery is already accessible which can lead to confusion and fear for some of us who have never done this before. There's a high probability that after 3-4 months of no use the battery will have had deep discharge and is unrecoverable (standard battery is an AGM or gel battery) . It's generally better to take out the battery in winter and connect it to a trickle charger once in a while to keep the voltage up. I found this out the hard way 😅 Even the desulphation mode on my charger couldnt revive it. I now bought a lithium battery which should have a longer lifetime and is less sensitive to deep discharge. Its also a lot lighter. Downsides are its more expensive and it has a smaller capacity. By the way, a good trick if you cant get to the contacts is to just have a piece of copper wire and form one end into a hook and use that as an extension to the clamps.

If you open small box with fuse there you can connect positive you don't must so much demontage
