@@Mr.cloney Lego doesn't send him anything. He's on the outs with the Lego Ambassador Network. These sets get released into the wild early and his fans help get them to him. The next vlog on MandR Vlogs will likely show us the story of how he got it
The good thing about these early reviews is that by the time the set finally comes out, I've lost interest in the set and it saves me a ton of money by not getting caught up in the release day hype.
I'm sorry I don't mean to rant but can we all agree that LAN is such a nonsensical system? You've got at least 10 LAN members who are only allowed to review the same set on the same day when they get permission from Lego...what would incentivize anyone to watch, say, f*cking Emily Saurus when there's 9 other manufactured reviews pumped out on the same day, discussing the exact same content, with little variation between each review? Besides the fact that they have absolutely zero integrity, and no one can convince me otherwise. I may disagree with Ryan from time to time, but at least there's no doubt that his opinion comes from a regular consumer like myself - LAN shills would never say or do anything to squander their influx of free Lego and it shows. Anytime a LAN member starts to mention the price, I get pissed off - like, you got handed $1500 worth of Lego for free and all you had to do is record a damn video? You're in no position to talk about prices 🙄
Fun fact, at 1:15 the art shown on the right page of the instruction booklet is the cover art from X-Wing: Iron Fist. The sixth book in the EU X-Wing series, which prominently featured the TIE Interceptor throughout its whole run. Love that reference and great books too!

Dang, I didn’t expect this much detail on this set, at first I thought its was just a boring expensive Star Wars ship, but now I kinda want to pick it up.
Lego is so creative at making the worst decisions sometimes. I would of never thought to get rid of the mat finish on the display plaque to make it worse, genius.
My thoughts on that as an engineer with some decades under my belt: Either the process was slightly cheaper and the bean counters were like "nobody's gonna know" and we were like "they're gonna know"; or it was a design decision because some artist said "but it looks so cool in gloss" and showed the individual in charge a perfectly clean (likely rendered) set to which the manager said, "Oh wow that does look so much nicer - just like the piano black in my BMW, so nice!!!" And now here we are. Could be wrong of course.
@@copyer9088I wouldn’t say its that minor. Its a display plaque, one of the things you look directly at. If its scratched and scuffed up its not gonna look good, and based on the x wings cockpit debacle I wouldnt be surprised if most plaques are that way on arrival.

I wish they'd fix the windscreen for the tie interceptor, those 4 studs on the front really pop out and look ugly! I hate that Lego doesn't fix the simplest things such as the dimple in the display plack, and the new finish on the plack.
Not a bad inference at all, but objectively they do look terrible. I find that glossy pieces are always scratched in my new sets and large pieces like the plate in this set seem to fare the worst.
