Also by the way I watched the the LM video honestly I really enjoyed it coming from the more competitive side of edh. It really gives good insight on the mindset difference between casual and competitive edh players. I'd like to see more of that. Hint hint. But awesome deck list tomer. It's an over all balanced deck list (all 3) that can be put together cheaply and upgraded easily.

you missed magnifying glass. on isochron combo it is a mana rock and on that magic 3 mana threshold you can draw your deck for your wincon. and compared to mindstone, when grasping for straws it can be a recurring card draw.
Tomer you need a flash spell because an instant does not stop the combo. Even trick bind doesnt stop the combo due to them being triggered abilities. You would need a card like cast out or an activated ability to stop the combo
Thanks, Tomer! For the purpose of not getting overrun by creature decks, could it be worth it to slot in Goblinslide and Skywise Teachings, or is the cost of activation going to be too cumbersome?
I personally think they are too slow even in more casual environments. The four token generators listed are going to be far more efficient. If you need more defense I would consider another blocker like Cackling Drake, Propaganda / Thaumatic Compass to deter attacks, or simply more removal.
At the beginning said this deck is one of the strongest budget decks you’ve ever built. What would you say is the STRONGEST budget deck you’ve ever built up until now?
So, not to complain because the video is great, but wedge and the commanders quarters guy both already did a video on budget niv-mizzet... Might want to either be the first to put out such a video, pick a commander that hasn't been build a lot already recently, or not make it budget so that there is enough variation that it's worth watching both
Also probably best not to put Dig Through Time in this deck - while it's good card fixing, "putting two of the top 7 cards into your hand" does not actually count as "drawing two cards".
@@andrewsparkes8829 Dig is actually excellent here because we quickly fill our GY with delve fodder and we're digging deep to find our combo pieces, all at instant speed. I also caution over-emphasizing cards that synergize with Niv-Mizzet because most tables won't let you keep him around forever, and if they do then you've already won.

Oh yes, that's true! If you have an instant removal spell, that will trigger Niv-Mizzet's ability and keep the combo going. Nasty!
